Michelle is a fantastic teacher, highly recommend.
I went from wanting to live an active life to actually living an active life, and Michelle played a pivotal role in this transformation. She brings her unique focus of strength building and alignment, combined with her personal knowledge of anatomy, and tailored approach to each student each class. I am a stronger and happier person.

This is the great yoga community for everyone! Michelle is patient and always offers fun and challenging lessons. Since I started going to her yoga lesson, I feel my whole body gets stronger and is not so sore after work out or hiking.

I started yoga about 3 1/2 years ago on the recommendation of my physical therapist. I travel for work and have practiced with about a dozen different instructors. Michelle is by far the best.
Each class is carefully planned to build from basic to more advanced skills and over a period of months the classes focus on various aspects of practice. Michelle is excellent at identifying student errors and giving personalized coaching cues to maximize improvement.
Her combination of well planned classes and individual attention makes her the most effective yoga instructor I have worked with. In addition she cultivated a genuine community feeling of camaraderie that is lacking in most strip mall corporate yoga studios.

I have tried other yoga programs before with little success. Michelle has created a program that works for me! She is patient and takes time to explain the moves and the proper breathing, and while we are working at it, we are enjoying ourselves too. I can practice at home too.
Michelle takes a whole body- whole mind approach to mending stiff or age worn joints and brings them back to "better" l felt good results immediately!
I'm hearing impaired, which is why previous attempts at yoga or group exercise have failed, because I was not able to hear instructions. Michelle accommodates my disability and makes sure, either by being close by when she is speaking or by interaction with me to make sure I understood the words. This has made a world of difference to me, for which I shall be forever grateful. :-{)}
Michelle Peterson has been teaching me Yoga since 2012, that means I have practiced with her almost every week for 6 years. I have found her classes to be so much more rewarding than others that I have tried. She goes above and beyond to understand my unique needs and caters to them. She even adjusts the entire class for a person with a particular challenge without detracting from the practice for the group. For me specifically, this means she spends time researching ways to help me with a nagging injury, listens extra carefully for my breathing and seems to know when I am likely to push something too far. Personally, I have gone from twice a year back issues to ZERO since 2012. But there is so much more for you in yoga than avoiding back injuries.
Now Michelle has had her own practice operating out of her home for two years, Aspiration Community Yoga. It is a warm and inviting community of people, with a variety of experience, that welcomes everyone. I offer my most sincere recommendation of Aspiration Community Yoga and suggest that you try a class. It might be that change you know you need.

Michelle is wonderful! Each class feels intentional and tailored to what each student needs, which Michelle tracks and remembers.
There is a real sense of community and togetherness in Michelle's classes that I haven't found anywhere else and that have become so important in my practice.
I can't imagine doing yoga anywhere else now.
