Our family have been using this place for 6 years and we love everything so far.

This is a good sized gym with nice locker rooms and pool area. The cardio and weight areas are on different floors so it is easy to go between different cardio machines. They also have several different classes you can attend.

Good luck canceling your membership. The gym outsources their payments and pretends to not be able to cancel memberships. They will make you jump through hoops to cancel and will still fail to do so. Avoid this place like the plague. There are way better gyms that have competent owners.

Not only is Gold's Gym Redmond under fantastic new management by general manager Wayne Cook, but is followed by an incredible staff that is always willing to help, is extremely friendly, and works insanely hard to keep this gym as clean as possible. The valet crew is always hard at work valeting cars and cleaning the gym daily. Housekeeping is also always busy deep cleaning parts of the gym daily. All in all this gym is definitely one to sign up with. Especially with a great sales staff: Josh Loberg the leading sales man of the gym followed by Zach and Sean, along with other names I have unfortunately forgetten. Also be prepared to be greeted by a great front desk staff, that while at times seems tired, they truly care about the members that come here. If I could give more than 5 stars I would.

Great gym, they always seem to keep it updated and well maintained. Been there since 2003! A wee bit pricey though, and I wish they had a lifetime membership as the monthly has really added up over the years.

So, I gave the gym two stars and here's why:

Reason 1: I came in on a Sunday to see a scantily clad woman posing next to, or on, work out machines. I get that people can pay (or know people...whatever) to get access to the gym to take photos, but not in the middle of the day while people are working out. I go to the gym to work out...not dodge around camera lights, cables, and some oily woman wearing a bikini.

Reason 2: I signed up last August (2017), and within two weeks of being a member, the 24 hours open from Monday to Thursday was done away with. Suspect, because they said it was to better accommodate clients but we really know it's because they wanted to save money on electricity.

Reason 3: (the big one), when you sign up, you get 12 guess passes annually. That is cool and was a big reason why I joined up. Last week, a buddy of mine flew in from Hawaii and was all about the gym. I called to verify I had my passes and I could bring him and it was confirmed. However, when I actually arrived, I was told they did away with the 12 guest passes last January. They said there were signs but I go 4/5 times a week: I saw no signs. When I asked for a manager, I had to basically beg for two passes so that my buddy could hit the gym with me.

I'm noticing that all the cool perks I had when I joined are slowly being taken from me and that isn't right. I understood the manager's reasons for taking away the 12 guest passes (parking and all that), but why not grandfather the rest of us? Let the people who were already loyal members keep the passes and while ensuring new clients don't get the guest passes.

All in all, I really like this gym. It's huge, well-maintained, and because it's big it has a huge variety of machines/weights to work with. However, it seems real suspect when you have all of these perks when you join but then you slowly start to lose them. I used to have a free guest on Saturday's.....I don't even know for sure if I still have it.

So, keep that in mind: great gym on the inside, but management and policies seem to change a lot.

Since my attempts to share constructive feedback with the management of this gym have not resulted in noticeable change, I feel compelled to leave this review: Never before have I interacted with a company that demonstrates such disregard and ignorance towards serving its customers. For this iconic brand that promises to "Build Your Path to Success" and "Guarantee Success", Gold's Gym Redmond fails in so many ways. Leadership, values, and focus on customer experience are completely void to the point that this gym appears to be in the business of 'burn and churn' through as many members as possible. I've tolerated the obvious problems here for years - terrible parking situation, some unqualified instructors - however after multiple interactions with management I'm convinced that this gym does not care about delivering on its brand promise, or retaining members. **Consumers - I encourage you to expect more. Take your time and money to a business that will value you as a customer. (pretty much any other gym would be a step up)

This place was great until they cut open hours. Now it is unusable. But management doesn't care about customers.

One of my favorite gyms, nice spaced out area for machines and weights, 6 squat racks, most exercises have multiple machines. Lockers have keypads so no need for locks. Steam room and dry sauna. Lots of cardio options.

This is one of the nicest gyms I've ever been to. I only have two gripes: 1) It's too cold in the gym. I want to sweat when I work out. I shouldn't have goosebumps. 2) Parking is absolutely horrible here. Good luck finding a spot.

Other than that, awesome gym!

I have been apart of this gym since it had originally opened my family was one of there original customers. I recently reinstated my membership 7 months ago and am very displeased on the managerial side of things there is absolutely 0% customer service all they care is about getting there money. I had frozen my account as I was out of town for one month and needed to extend it for another month so I emailed there general email and asked that i extend my freeze and got no response when i went in the gym a couple days prior they said it has to be 14 days in advance my email was sent 14 days in advance and that due to there billing department I would have to be charged. I said that would be fine but just give me my next month free and the manager josh said that isn't possible I said then give me a guest pass as my friend is looking to join a new gym with me and he said no(not how you earn new business). He wanted proof that I sent an email to freeze my account and said "well its not my email" I said it was the email listed on your website. Also When i signed up for my membership the gym was 24-hour in less than two months they changed that, this is being dishonest and fraudulent it should have been disclosed to me during signing. Its a shame that they just don't care I was a customer at the David barton gym unfortnalty they closed and golds was the last luxury based gym in the area. There equipment is outdated and smells now and they have no customer service, not the gym i was apart of 10 years ago

This gym has reasonable equipment. The front desk is reasonably polite. The trainer - the personal trainers and head trainer and horrible to work with. The personal trainers are after your money to get their $75 or 80 etc. paid training classes from you. Once you pay, they are not professional and some are abusive. You complain to main manager, he is also another crazy fellow. Overall, don't advise to continue here. Stay away. Microsoft provides membership here, but choose some other option.

Fantastic place where people really care about your health and making you feel comfortable.
Personal trainers really go above and beyond to make your fitness goals organized and customized to your specific needs.
Only four stars on account of it's no longer 24hrs :(

Had an absolutely lovely experience with the folks at Golds Gym in Redmond. Set me up with ease & didn't feel the typical "gym membership" pressure like I have had with other gyms. It was definitely customer focused & very friendly. Excited to have joined!!

I went in on Sunday afternoon. They were so helpful and nice! A very large and well maintained gym. I got a great deal on Groupon and then they were able to give me another great deal on top of that for signing up that day. I would definitely recommend this gym to anyone.

October 25, 2017 15:36

This is an awful place. Parking is a nightmare, equipment is dated and floors are smelly. The personal trainers at this location solicit their service and send rude messages to your personal cell phone. And God forbid you want to save your money and cancel your membership, they make is especially painful to do - you can't do it over phone, you can't mail it - you have to come in in person and pay for an extra month because their billing system (conveniently) cannot process changes for anything less than two months in the future.

If you are looking for a gym to just work out, this does OK. However, their rules are very confusing. The biggest example: You have to be 18+ to access their pool?! I play basketball here and they only have like 3 basketballs for some reason, and when they run out *they almost always do*, there are like 10 women-sized balls in their storage! Why have so many undersized basketballs that nobody wants to use, and then have only 3-4 regular sized basketballs?! It makes no sense to me and it is a huge problem for many people who like to use the basketball court. Furthermore, this one girl with glasses at the front desk is always rude and never responds to anyone's questions within the first 7 seconds of being asked. Instead she decides to either fold 5-10 more towels or finish talking gossip with other staff members. When she does say something like "have a nice day!", it sounds completely forced and it's obvious she doesn't mean any of it at all. This gym is fine once you can actually start working out instead of many of its cons.
