My daughter is at her first class since they reopened yesterday. I'm thrilled with how they have adjusted their training to address the current concerns everyone has with us just in phase 1 reopening. The instructors have adapted their teaching methods and training and you would think they have been teaching this way all along. Really happy with our decision to bring our daughter here for jiu jitsu.

Myself and my daughter love training her. Friendly and knowledgeable

Amazing to see this place stronger than ever after 20 years of service to the community, having taught 1000s of adults and chidren throughout Woodbridge/Dale City and the Northern VA area. See you on the mat.

I've been going to Trident Academy now for 7 months and I still find it as engaging as the first day I stepped in there. The instructors are all very knowledgeable and friendly while the facility is very clean. I'm involved in the Filipino Martial Arts and the curriculum is vast but I promise the material will come together. The instructors provide the students with many ways to do things, ultimately it's on the students to take what works for them and polish those concepts. I like this philosophy since it's what I do in my personal life.

Been attending class for a year and a half. I learned a lot from grappling as well as becoming a better person. Everyone in this community is respectful and humble. You'll love it here.

UPDATE: As of today we're over her year mark at Trident MMA. Her interest is still as strong as it was when she began. The more I see the teachers here in action the more I have come to believe they are some truly talented individuals. Aside from technical fighting knowledge, they know how to impart that knowledge to kids, make it fun, and keep them disciplined. That is a very rare combination of skills.

OLD REVIEW: My 8-year-old daughter has been training in Thai Boxing and Jiu Jitsu for about two months. She is on the unlimited class plan and usually goes 4 times per week. She's my fourth kid so I have a basis for comparison when I say - it's amazing that she keeps wanting to go back. Kids tend to get excited about something for a week or two and then it becomes a chore to them. The Trident Academy program is something she looks forward to. She's been to other places for taekwondo and the experience was very impersonal. At Trident, each kid gets attention in every class. There's almost always more than one instructor keeping an eye on things and they are not treated like delicate little snowflakes. Finally, the program isn't just about martial arts training. There is a character component with their STARS system. When's the last time your elementary schooler said, "Don't forget to pick up my assignment for next class!" There's also this little swell of pride when I go to tickle her and she blocks and counterpunches... Trident is worth every penny and the people are top notch. Give them a shot.

Trident is a second home. They're not just the best instructors, but are truly caring professionals.

Great place for all levels interested in getting fit and learning a fighting discipline. All the instructors are experts and willing to help no matter the skill level. You can try it out for a couple free classes, no pressure. I love this community and the friends I've made. This place is fun, but still professional. They want to make you the best at whatever you commit to.
