The workouts are terrific and they've really gotten me in shape. The instant feedback on each workout gives you a real sense of achievement. I highly recommend Orange Theory!
This was the first workout I have had in years. I'm not a very self motivated person when it comes to working out. So the program offered at Orange Theory was very appealing from the start. However, what was most impressive was how welcoming the staff and other members were. I felt comfortable throughout the entire class, even when I had to take a break on the water rower. And that was a major concern for me, feeling comfortable. I have some major lifestyle and health goals, and I look forward to meeting them with Orange Theory in Alexandria. Thank you for a wonderful experience, and I look forward to being a member.
Great facility, great workout. I was in town for a work conference and hopped over for a morning workout. Coach John was great. Really enjoyed it despite the fact it was Hell Week!
I loved the station set up and the interval training. I also enjoyed that it felt very individual even though it is in a group setting. I also love the heart rate monitor and all of the metrics, it definitely helps motivate to push harder and know what you accomplished in the workout. I also loved the lighting because you didn't feel like you were staring at the person next to you or too many mirrors, great environment. I decided to become a member after the 2 free classes, no question about joining!
All of the teachers are absolutely incredible and are willing to help if you have any health needs. I would recommend this gym to anyone.

I have been going to Orange Theory for almost a month now. It is hands down the best group fitness experience I have ever had. It is like going to a personal trainer but also a boot camp! It's never the same workout, the music is awesome and the heart rate concept keeps you motivated to push yourself. I wish I had started going sooner! Jess and John are the best!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE OTF Alexandria!! The trainers are awesome (especially Coach John!) ~ super motivational! The music selections are always upbeat, and the front desk staff is very friendly! What more could I want in a workout?! I give #OTFALX a 10 out of 10!!
I've always preferred HIIT workouts in general so this is a great fit. I only wish weekday morning classes were a bit easier to get into, but can't blame the studio for their popularity - again it's a great workout.
I recommend OTF Old Town to anyone looking to improve their fitness and form healthy exercise habits. The instructors are wonderful, and the front desk staff are very friendly and helpful as well. It's truly addictive. I have never felt as fit in my life.
OrangeTheory Fitness is such a fun workout! You will definitely sweat and feel the burn, but watching your progress on the big screen is worth every second! I have noticed a change in my energy level and my family members comment on how much more fit I seem. The Old Town location has really nice staff and the coaches are great (SHOUT OUT to Coach John for his infectious energy and his amazing taste in music for the workouts!). Give the free class a try and I guarantee you will become addicted like I am!
The front desk personnel were extremely helpful and friendly. The workout was great. The locker area needs to be redesigned. Its too crowded and hard to get to the lockers.
The coaches and staff here are great! All of the coaches are really supportive and helpful throughout every class. They will push you, but in a positive and encouraging way! The staff is also awesome. Tyler has been especially helpful from the start- he is always friendly and quickly steps in to make sure everything is taken care of (heart rate monitor not working, switching class packages, etc.). I definitely recommend trying OTF in old town, you won't regret it!
I rarely if ever write a review that 1 could deem really negative but having dealt with the management at Orange theory fitness for months and months now, specifically regional operations manager Eleanor, this review is imperative.
Upon signing my wife and I up prior to our wedding the front desk staff was hind and informative if not slightly misinformed. The technology is spotty and works only part of the time but that's not really where the problem is.
Regional Ops Manager Eleanor owes us by her own admission nearly a $1000 in refunds which she has yet to process. She has continued to lie to our faces and has refused to take any action. She has additionally refused to give us the name or contact information of her supervisor. After all this time she still believes that our contacting the Commonwealth's Attorney and Better Business Bureau is our best bet instead okf simply following up and ensuring our refunds have been returned.
The short version is this. We tried canceling our membership at both Old Town and Potomac Yard, and after receiving no help for months, a threat to contact others forced Eleanor to respond.
Prior to Eleanor reaching out to us via email. We had sent countless emails, made countless phone calls to both locations, and never received a single response.
Stay far, FAR, away from OTF in Old Town and Potomac Yard.
I love the fast paced, challenging and varied workouts and the motivation from the great coaches. I also love the accountability that comes from signing up in advance and having to go or pay a penalty. I need that! This is the only workout I have stuck with consistently in the past 10 years. I am in my 40's and have 3 young kids and look better than I did pre-babies! Thank you!
I loved the push of circuit training and watching the monitor. Everyone is focused on themselves and if you are not then you are not doing it right! The classes kick your butt but it is so worth it. You get emailed your status of calories burned, orange/red zones of heart rate. Which make a competition for yourself. I really love it! I signed up for 1x week classes to help get me motivated again. I recommend doing a first FREE class just to try it out.
OTF Old Town is fantastic! I started about 6 months ago, and the instructors are amazing, especially Brandon, Jess, Mike and John! Equipment is clean and always in working order. The front desk greets me EVERY morning I attend class and tells departing clients to have a great day as we limp (in a good way!) out the door. I have never had a poor customer service experience here in dozens of visits. I have been a runner all of my life, and have tried numerous other cross training classes that usually end up boring me. Orangetheory is, by far, the most addicting and results-driven class I have done. Give it a shot. Cannot say enough great things about OTF Old Town.
I can't say enough positive things about this Orange Theory location. Although the workout itself has completely transformed my life -- it's the people here that have made the biggest difference for me. The team of coaches, front desk staff and managers have been amazing! They've all been there every step of the way and made me feel welcome and motivated. The way members are treated influences where I choose to workout and they've never disappointed me. I've lost 20+ pounds and gone from just walking on the treadmill to flying! The workout never fails to be challenging and the results keep coming. I am truly appreciative!
What do you like about Orangetheory Fitness in Old Town? Everything! I have never been a runner, and I'm running for the first time in my life. (Well right now I'm walking because I'm pregnant, but I look forward to running again in a few months). The water rower is always challenging because it's exhausting. I love that the coaches know when you to push you at the right moment to keep your intensity going. And I love the burn in my legs when I know I'm rowing correctly. I have always gravitated to floor / weighted workouts, so that is my favorite part. I've surprised myself regularly on the floor. The coaches tell me I can handle more weight, I try, and go figure - I can do it! So I'm pushing harder than I ever have before and I feel great. Love the coaches (Brandon and John are my favorites) and the staff is great. All around excellent experience every day.
Great workout! It is just very expensive. Will be back if you get discounts that recognize AmeriCorps/Peace Corps volunteers or other low-income populations.
Thanks for a great experience!
This location is like family. A warm and welcoming family. You don't feel left out, you just feel like you are home. It was my first Orange Therapy class EVER! For me to say that, speaks volumes. I am quite sore but ready for the challenge.
