I have tried several different Vasas, the one in Taylorsville may not be the newest or the biggest, but the people here are the best. Since reopening, they have always had several employees patrolling specific areas, watching for somebody to leave the machine, then immediately clean it. One recommendation, having employees out on the floor is the perfect opportunity to catch these jerks who refuse to wipe down the machines, or unload them when they are done. You really should suspend their membership for being so irresponsible
I like everything except the lots of fans they have on. On winter it's too cold. We not everybody are sweating and hot while working out. I need to wear sweater otherwise I can get a cold. When the weather it's hot it's different.
The facilities just like all vasa in SLC County with the exception being the newest west valley west have very dirty an unsanitary steam and Jacuzzis and shower areas. They are dirty and some locations like this one are moldy. The Jacuzzi is green! I think they need to remodel and keep it very clean. We're all paying these membership fees I don't think its much to ask
I have been going to this location for the last year. The place is well kept and the machines are in great working conditions. My son goes to the daycare and Frances Rebekah and Cherise are amazing my son loves going to see his teachers! The trainers are also wonderful I go to team training and Alex and Savanna are great trainers.

Its not always that clean or stocked with things to wipe down the machines, which is annoying. The good thing at least they try and stock the workout equipment + try fix broken machines pretty fast.
Good and friendly service. Great staff. The only reason I marked it down from 5 stars is that sometimes the cleaning wipes for the machines are not well stocked.
This place is amazing! I barely started working out a couple of months ago and these guys totally make me feel literally at home. Briunna is the only one I know by name and she is super sweet and kind! But all of the workers here are equally as amazing! I love you all! Thank you guys for making it so much easier for me to get to the gym all the time by being so kind to me.
I have been visiting this gym for 10 years. I love all the changes that have been recently implemented. Bree has done a fantastic job!
I am a regular here and they have nice rquipment gym is nice, but if you want to go on Saturdays early in the morning they just can't seem to open it on time.. still sitting in the parking lot, almost 7 am on Saturday morning

I am visiting and found the place nice and clean, plenty of a wide variety of equipment (except light free weights), and friendly employees. The pool and hot tub were perfect temperature for swimming and relaxing.
I'm a regular here in the 6-8 am window. It's a great time to come when it's not too crowded. Just as as the first wave of 5:00am openers are leaving and before the mom's come at 9:00. They must have just renewed their lease because all the barbell weights were swapped out with new plates around March-April 2018. They have everything I've needed except a Rogue Fitness bike (although most gyms don't have that equipment unless its a crossfit gym). Never had a problem with any of the staff and everyone has been friendly. I've been coming here coming up on 2 years, and before that my locations were Van Winkle, and Orem/Provo. This and Van Winkle have been my favorite locations.
I work out at a CrossFit style gym in addition to VASA, so the low cost of a basic membership is perfect for me. I can't speak highly enough of VASA. The price is unbeatable, staff are friendly, and the equipment is in better shape and much more comprehensive than a comparable chain gym like 24 hour fitness, Gold's Gym, or Planet Fitness. They also have a large basketball court, racquetball courts, dry sauna, steam room, lap pool, and a hot tub. I particularly like the large functional training area. Its nice to be able to do a set on the battle ropes or sled pushes without worrying about bumping into people. Very affordable basic membership deals are offered pretty regularly. For a little bit more, you can upgrade your membership and have access to all VASA locations.

My very first visit to the gym I couldn't even get through the doors without a problem arising. I just signed up a few weeks before with my work. Before I signed up I came in to ask how much it would be to sign up; they informed me that my work would give me the full access pass for a dollar less month. I went in tonight with my wife (as a guest) the girl at the counter then said that I'm not allowed to have a guest with my pass. I said "that's strange when I came in a few weeks ago that it was the same exact pass and that having guests would be fine." She then said "do I look like I don't know how to do my job? I'm a team lead here. I'm know what I'm doing." I said I don't know why your getting aggressive with me I was just telling you what I was told. Her friends then surrounding the counter on the outside and other employees beside one guy all told me to leave and one of them told me to get the F out of here and I said can't we simply have a conversation about what to do our how to go about it and they all just told me to leave. I didn't want to get cursed at or hurt by the 5 people getting aggressive around me so my wife and I left feeling embarrassed and threatened. Not a good first impression to come into the gym and get cursed and told to leave before I could even pass the counter. I hope that someone from the company reads this and contacts me to just talk about the situation. May 1st
I couldn't be more pleased with the staff and experience at this gym. Everyone is nice, helpful, and professional. As an overweight, middle aged woman, it can be very intimidating to try to go to a gym on my own, but the staff here make it fun and welcoming. Thanks guys!
I lost my Job and went into the location to cancel my account. The employee I spoke with went over to a computer and did something and said I was canceled. Come to find out I was not, He failed to provide me with anything. He could have been new and did not understand how to do it properly. Now months later I am being charged over $200 for services I never used. For months now I have been fighting with them to get it canceled and they would not even allow me to do that until I can pay the bill in full. Keep in mind I am not working and have no income. I have no way to pay it, Thus why I cancelled the service. Now they are threatening legal action if I do not pay it. When I explained I was not working I was told I could go get a job. (Not like I have not been looking for almost a year now) They tell me I need to prove there employee did it wrong, Yet They can not prove he did it right. They are unwilling to take ANY fault and as far as I am concerned this bill practice is criminal.
I like the layout of this place. It's just the people who go to this location, similar to the West Valley Location, make this establishment filthy. The people only care about themselves and leave equipment scattered everywhere. The members treat equipment and other people like they don't matter. The staff are great with great service, but members make up the club and this club isn't one you look forward to working out in everyday.
I would happily give this gym 5 stars if the staff didn't make me feel like garbage every time I come. Oh I am so sorry that I interrupted your texting and it's so difficult for you to lift a scanner to check me in to a service I pay for. Oh no, don't say hello or acknowledge my existence either. No need! EVERY TIME.
I've only been a member for a few weeks, but I haven't had any problems at all. The staff is friendly and helpful. There are enough machines for everyone. The music selection is even great.
I enjoy the professionalism and charismatic staff at VASA. They get in-depth with your goals and ambitions and work with your plans. The encourage you without pressuring you to break. Very exceptional service.
It's a Gym nothing special. The price I pay is great $10 BUT the hot water for the showers has been off for over a week now... VASA step up and get it fixed! Don't care what it takes no more excuses time to open the wallet and get it fixed.
The experience I had at VASA wasn't like anything you'd expect, it was better!! The sign up process was easy and the staff is always so friendly. They have so much to offer there depending on what you like. The possibilities are endless there on what you can do. And what made my experience the most memorable was my personal trainer Dominick Rogers. He is very knowledgeable about fitness and nutrition. He is very good at building a plan specific to your individual needs. He has the knowledge and care to help you achieve your goals even if you're dealing with physical limitations or health concerns. Not only has Dominick helped me with my fitness goals he's really helped me reshape my life. He helped me with my nutrition so I know what to eat and how much I can indulge without undoing all my work. He also taught me techniques to do on my own in between our sessions. Dominick isn't one of those trainers that make you feel like a number to them. He genuinely makes you feel like he cares about your health and helping you achieve your goals. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a trainer. Thank you Dominick for giving me the knowledge and support to get back to a healthier me.
I go with a friend who has a membership, so I don't know about all this "shady contract" stuff. So for me it's a great place. There are machines for every part of your body, sauna, steam room, pool, racket ball court, basketball court, spin room, treadmills and bicycles, aerobics, cardio cinema, etc. It's a great place to get your workout done. I always feel great when I walk out. The only thing that I find at fault is that their machines are a little outdated and beat down. Other than that it has been a great experience for me!
I absolutely love using their gym! It has so much variety and there is a lot of space to move around! Every other gym I've been to was crammed and didn't have much equipment to use! I'm so glad that made the decision to get a membership with them!!

One of the things I do not like about this gym on Taylorsville is that the weight plates are all over the place on the ground, when you're trying to do your work out you're looking for them. They need someone to go around and clean up for people that don't know how to put things back. They need to fix their StairMaster and treadmill equipment.
