Nice being back at the rec center, missed it during quarantine. They are handling well and keep all equipment clean. Hands down my favorite gym to go to and the classes they offer with the membership is nice.
Has a lot of amenities, including a 50-meter pool. Showers are automatic, though, which is good for water conservation if not slightly inconvenient. It's a great fitness center.
We used to live close by and loved going here all the time (mostly for swimming). It is a lot of fun and they have recently updated the fitness center so it's even nicer now!
Glad we have this in our community. Year-round fun for the kids.
I like being able to get my run in even when the weather says, "no." Access to the Olympic Oval as part of the membership has totally made it worth it. On the other hand, the workout equipment in the gym is also great. With the pool options and classes, the fitness center is the right place.
Well after a wonderful 2 years at the Kearns Oquirrh Park Fitness Center we decided to switch gyms. The prices for the 2020 year were just too much. They are doubling their child care prices. We have two small kids and the child care alone was more than other gyms. My wife even cried as she said goodbye to friends she had in her classes and also to the child care staff. Thanks Kay and Susan! We switched to WVC Family Fitness Center.....their child care is included in the price. We understand that you gotta make money and keep a business going.... But we are paying half the amount elsewhere.
Overall, this has been the best rec. center/gym we have ever attended. The child care staff are top notch. Our kids love it here. We also love the classes and the new weight room area. Too bad about the prices....
Super fun for all ages!! The price makes it a cheap activity that will last the whole day. We went on a Sunday and it was busy but we still had a great time. The diving platforms are crazy! They have a massive bucket that fills with water and dumps every few minutes or so, so fun!
I've had two horrible experiences at this pool. Once when inquiring about booking a party after hours. The coordinator I spoke to wasn't friendly at all. Her tone and responses made me feel my questions were stupid. This facility is not cheap to rent and I want to make sure my money is well spent. Second bad experience was when I attended an after hours party. The staff that evening were unfriendly and not welcoming. It's as if they didn't enjoy their job.

Wonderful facility for a birthday party! Kids had a great time and were exhausted when we left. Great Success!
I love Kearns Oquirrh Park Fitness Center! My family comes here several times a week for weights, cardio, classes, swimming, etc. My only complaint is that there isn't more equipment or space for heavy weight lifting (deadlifts, squats, etc). I usually have to time it right in order to not have to wait.
Really great facility. Enjoy the classes we have attended. Pickleball is a blast.

As previously stated I've been there many times and seen many couples enjoy each other's company in the pools. Even as they were told to stop other around them were just as close if not closer. It feels as if they were targeted due to their younger looks. I would hate to lose respect for a place I've been a member to ever since I can remember, however after this, I just might.

So love this place! It's so cheap & you can also bring your own Grill but you have to get there Early so you can save you a Good spot.
I love going here. They have an outdoor as well as an indoor lap pool. There are numerous exercise classes to choose from (aerobic and strength training). The staff is always very helpful and friendly. During the summer they have movie in the park which is free and the movies are updated. The price to get in is very reasonable. I highly recommend.

This is the best pool complex in the valley by far. But that also means that it is always packed with people. They have a couple of kiddie pools outside with one that has a big bucket of water that fills and dumps every few minutes. They have an outdoor diving pool with platform and springboard diving. They have an indoor lap pool that they set up a wibit course on during the weekends. And they have an indoor pool with a slide

you as t to continue swimming outside in the kiddie area with a big splash bucket also go higher on there 3 different levels of diving boards plus there's food you can buy oh don't forget there's 2 saunas and 2 hot tubs and you can bring outside food in.****
So where do I start, the ultraviolet water treatment device failed so the response from management was to add more chemicals to the water, thank you very much, the showers are still barely usable there are 18 heads in the men's shower area only one works properly I see other improvements at the center but never any Improvement in the hot tub or the showers or the UV device
If you are a resident, get an annual pass. It is a great value, if only for the pool. My 3 year old has been learning to swim. We love to go to the pool 2-3 times a week. It is a great break from the challenges of the week.
Just came back from my first ever visit. I come from 24 hr fitness and I'm definitely encouraged to see some equipment that matches the quality of 24. I'm switching over so my son can have a place to be active as well. I really do hope they're tripling the gym size. Maybe even quadruple it and take away from your conference room plan a bit (is that much space gonna be used consistently enough in the long term to matter/profit from as much as you could throw into the gym?). Every gym facility I've been to has too much cardio equipment that isn't used. Space wasted. At my visit today...even at a busy time, not all machines were utilized. I love jump roping and feel like it's a big part of my routine. There is 0 space in that room for that. You could sacrifice a few things to make more space for free weights and random mat workouts. More mirrors would be great so I can monitor form. I hope that you'll add incline situp equipment. More catering to non cardio equipment would be great overall to complete a full service gym. People would come flocking to sign up!
I could be wrong about the cardio equipment utilization considering this was my first visit. I just hope you guys don't over provide cardio like everywhere else I've been. Looking forward to the expansion because everyone is in my bubble. Besides the gym, I really like what I see here. Everything seems well maintained.
I took a brochure as I left (Winter/Spring). Summer is just around the corner and I wish I had information on the summer programs that we might sign-up for.
Aged facility with renovations and additions done and being made. Clean. Locker rooms are old with lockers you can put coins in or use your own lock. Pools on the lower temp side (which is great for laps and exercise). Lots of classes to do!
Pretty disappointed that they don't have a play area for younger kids inside like the other fitness centers around the area do. "Only in the day care area" according to the front desk and they are only open during specific times.The playground outside also needs some serious work. I debated dropping my gym membership to come here because we recently moved but I'm just not impressed at all.
They have a great swimming lessons program and generally do a very good job.

We have been a member for 5+ years and have found the facilities to be above par for the whole time. All my kids have taken swimming lessons, basketball, and tennis lessons and have become better athletes because of its use and availability. I love KOPFC for its access for the whole family to take part. All four seasons. Thank you KOPFC team.
Price is good and you get a good amount, including steam room, sauna, pool, cardio/weight room. However the cardio room is a bit on the small side. This should change at the end of 2018 though with the new facility
I went for the sauna but enjoyed the gym too. The gym is not huge but I can't complain. I would go again, the price is very afordable.
Two major indoor pools all year, and a wonderful outdoor pool in the summer, a decent weightlifting and cardio room, sauna, steam room, hit tubs, and more. This place has it all. They even have ice skating and a skate park. We always purchase family membership. This is by far the most affordably, and the most enjoyable family facility I have experienced.
The place is pretty dirty and small. The daycare staff is friendly, but shows a lot of movies. Most of the staff is younger, high school-aged. Because of this, most of the staff really don't know how to communicate or tell you all the information. I got locked into a year contract because of a lack of communication by the staff. This is one of the worst gyms and rec. centers I have been apart of. Poorly managed.
Absolutely love coming to Kerns pool! Always clean, friendly staff and a great environment. We never miss a Sunday!
The facilities are great. Kind and knowledgeable staff. Four different pools as well as a splash pool for the children. Great place to visit during the summer. All around fun.
We love coming here. Fridays and Saturdays are very crowded though. Weekdays during the day is not so bad. But, now with the summer- it might be more packed in the daytime. It was great!
I loved it today! The water was perfect and almost no one was here, no screaming children on a headache day is nice. Around 2 is the perfect time to go.
