Nice staff. Nice facility. Over crowded. I spend more time walking around than working out waiting to get on equipment. 30 day cancellation policy is ridiculous! Vasa seems to make it particularly difficult to cancel. A good business makes it as easy to walk away as they do to sign up.

Don't let your wife or child get sick and lose track and miss a couple of payments because VASA will gladly sue you with a ton of added on fees and not give you anyone who will work with you. It's your responsibility, they don't owe you a letter or a call. I'd recommend a more ethical Gym.

I really love coming to exercise at this vasa specifically for having the gym updated and in good condition, the only thing that is uncomfortable sometimes is when the massage chairs are not working or it takes a long time to have one available, it is super equipped and offered Varied classes, also has the cinema, pool, sauna, etc.

The hours of operation on top of the cleanliness with the freedom this gym offers really make it a great place to work out in.

Clean, has a lot of equipment and amenities to choose from .great child care staff. Just wish they had a nutrition store like some other locations .

At the West Valley Vasa, the enrollment person was incredibly rude and made me very angry. When I went to sign up at this location, I told the enrollment person that I had had a bad experience at the previous Vasa. He proceeded to do the exact same thing. He was trying to pressure me into using a personal trainer (which we can't afford) and lecturing me on how I should lose weight. I told him my goals were modest and that I just wanted to do my own thing. He wouldn't back down until I said, "Forget a membership, we're leaving". I don't mind helpful advice but if I've already told you it's something I'm not willing or able to do then let it go.
Even though the facilities were new at the time, the Precor machines were broken (or possibly had the heart rate monitors disabled). The cinema room is a nice idea but smells toxic. I complained several times, including online and never got a response. The last straw was when the manager singled out my husband, interrupting his workout 3 separate times trying to get him to hire a personal trainer. I'm pretty certain that most people would not appreciate being interrupted 3 times during their workout. I suppose if you are fit then this would be an OK place to go because you won't be targeted by their high pressure sales tactics. It's cheap and the amenities are acceptable.
Finally, when I went to cancel, I found out that they make you pay a full month extra, which we were not told when we signed up. This is one of those places where you'd better read your contract carefully because they don't want to tell you up front about all the extra fees. If you are just barely into your current month, you will basically pay 2 extra months.
Edit: I did not cancel within 6 months and did not pay the $25 fee. I did however pay for the remaining time in the month that I cancelled (which was fine) AND an entire month after that. So even in their response they do not acknowledge the truth about their cancellation policy and tell you that canceling is free!

I called today my wife wants to buy a prepaid membership a a birthday present for six months maybe a year depending on pricing.
They will only do a month to month which if anyone who has tried to cancel knows that the fees come out-Cancellation FEE Thirty day Notice FEE that's right if your yearly fee is due at that time they refuse to let that slid pay pay pay VASA considers customers more like their personal bank they take from.
My wife loves this place I would give ZERO stars if I could due to the total lack of customer care consideration and service.

They trick you by saying that you can cancel at any time but in reality they don't tell you that you have to pay a fee to cancel your member ship after 6 months of paying the member ship plus 50 dollars more on the second month then you can cancel at no cost be sure to ask them questions or they will just trick

On top of that I talked to an employee here and he said , " that's how they trick you." And I asked him what can I do and he responded with nothing and left to talk to other people this service is pathetic!

I have had nothing but the BEST when it comes to service. The staff is still asking what they can do to make my experience better and more comfortable. My personal trainer is FANTASTIC...she has done a great job making my workouts specific to my needs and is such a POSITIVE person. Maddy has been the KEY to my success with VASA's personal training program. I would highly recommend this gym. Thank you to the whole VASA team!!!

Nice gym inside, however the parking lot has ZERO light. Makes me nervous to park my car there before 7 am.

Follow up:
Lights are up and on in the mornings. Woohoo! Thank you!

Not sure why people are rating the gym badly due to the company being "shady" but that isn't my place to say.

I can say that at this location, I have had nothing but a great experience; new equipment, lovely staff, and the spa/pool/sauna are all in very good working order.

By far one of the best VASA locations I have visited.

My experience with this entire company was a joke. My teenage son got a membership to the gym on his own. When he tried to downgrade the membership at the gym they told him it was taken care of. On the next months bill they took out the same amount. When he called to inquire why it had not been down graded they said you had to fill out a form online. So then he decided to cancel the membership as he got a better work out at home. The next month the amount they took from my account was over $100!!! When I called they said his service had never been down graded, there were now late fees and if he wanted to cancel the membership there was also going to be a cancellation fee not to mention he was also charged an annual fee. The best part is every representative I spoke to laughed at me and told me I was the responsible party even though I never agreed to any terms and my signature is not on any of the paperwork. I have filed a complaint with the BBB and still seeking possible legal action. They go through a third party company for the billing. I guarantee what you are told in the physical location is completely different than what they tell you on the phone. All of this could have been avoided if they just cancelled the membership, refunded my money and did not do business with minors!

I like the gym in general, but the 1 stars is because they have the parking after sunset without illumination, is pretty dark and I can barely see the cars and as a woman feels very creepy to walk around looking for my car, I can see the silhouette of the person walking around only, not even can tell if is a woman or man until they are very close, unfortunately that neighborhood also is not the best then is scary. I love the yoga class at night over there but I won't come back again until they turn on those big street lamps that I don't know why they have them if they don't use it. It doesn't make sense to me. I hope they change this.

Equipment is new which is nice. The staff is okay not very friendly or energetic. The parking lot is mess and peoples attitudes aren't the best. Like leave your car out for a workout and you'll probably comeback to gum on your hood or vomit next to where you park.

Just another Bally's, more interested in selling contracts than fitness. Was in town for a month (only) and asked them if I could buy a 1 month membership like stated on their website... no, I have to sign a minimum 6 month contract and then deal with cancelling it. I even offered to pay the same dollar value upfront, but they refused, saying I'd have to wait until I was ready to cancel and then deal with it. Probably a good gym, but the customer service (or lack thereof) spoke volumes.
