Decent place to workout though they closed their Sandy location. Their cancellation process is a joke. I was told I could cancel over the phone and after a month goes by I get charged again. I was then told I had to go in, sign a paper, TAKE A PHOTO of the paper, and email it to their customer service. On top of that they still charge you the fee and a nice $50 maintenance fee on top of it.

Was a loyal customer at the sandy gym until it closed. I tried to cancel my contract but was bullied into staying in a contract that was no longer valid. Charges stopped coming through so I figured they finally gave in and cancelled my membership but NOPE! Just got a call, 4 months later, from a collections agency.
Well done Thryve! You sure know how to run a smooth business. It's not the clients fault that you had to close your doors. You have to eat the cost of running a poor business model instead of trying to place your debts onto your customers. Way to deal with your own problems cordially... It's pretty clear from previous reviews that you screwed over a lot of people and can't even take the time to take responsibility in the process.

The location closed in sandy, which my 16 year old son walked to from his school just around the corner. He talked us all going, which was great, but short lived for 3 months due to them closing that location. They demanded we stay in the "contract" which we had NO IDEA we had even gotten into. It was a month to month thing...long story short, my son now goes to another gym walking distance and a collection agency is calling me to pay a bill. They have NO customer service person to talk to. Only a regional manager who never answers e-mails, which is the ONLY way any one can get ahold of her. It is ridiculous. So unprofessional. I didn't know there were companies still screwing people over like this!!!

I was a member here for over a year, I enjoyed every minute of it. Clean facility, nice machines, good atmosphere, great employee attitude. When my will power comes back I'll be back. :)

To start off the staff and equipment here are great. Something to be aware of that I am now learning are the clauses for personal training. After an agreement is signed you with have to die or become permanently disabled to cancel.... Had I know about this I would have taken more thought to signed up for the training. There is a buyout that is half the rate of the contract too. In the case of putting the contract on hold, this will temporally delay the monthly payments, it does extend the contract length though. Really one sided contract in my opinion. There is no protection to the consumer.. The training is good, I simply wanted to go back to a previous program that I am more familiar with and am now in this predicament. Expensive lesson. Don't be a dummy like me and read the whole agreement.

Thryve Fitness Club treats members like family. Take some time to get to know the staff and your fitness experience will improve immensely! Don't hesitate to ask questions. They will help you out!

I have been a member of Thryve for 2 years and love it! I have 2 kids that I take to the afternoon daycare (4:00-8:00 PM). It has been the same daycare employee for well over a year and I highly trust her. My only complaint with the childcare is that it does not have a roof and often the music my children are hearing I don't approve of. When I have asked them to change the music for that reason they immediately change it. I love the staff at Thryve and that it is probably the cleanest gym I have been a member of.

The Sandy location closed and the West Jordan is too far away. So, I wanted to cancel my membership. But after a 6+ email back and forth, they refused to cancel my account. So, now I'm stuck paying for the last three months of a membership I don't use.
I also had a $15 class pass that was supposed to be month to month. But they're still charging me for that as well. I called to get that removed from my account and they told me I had to come down to the gym to talk about it (I suppose that was a tactic to deter people from bothering to get their account issues resolved). But after going all the way down to the West Jordan location, they refused to even cancel that.
The person I talked to said "It's just a couple more months."

Completly terrible business conduct, dont follow through with Any of the agreement obligations. They were Loosing there bussinuss and left me(the customer) to be put in a impossible situation to be provided with None of the discussed previous obligations left on there responsible obligations and benifits that being the disiared client, payed my bill before due date. Was required of me and my client portion of the understood requiremnets i was Told on day 1. 3monthes into our arrangement of the membership, they were not able to keep the location of the agreed to company available for my membership. When I emailed the company& told them due to there loss of provided agreement that they had encountered currently I No longer felt that my own personal loss of benefits listed by them in the contract were not at all being provided to me and my biggest needs in order to having this arrangement be set up to also have any single benefit to me and my schedule and ability to accomidate to the very limited options they were able to replace my entire lay out of my previous impression of my expectations that were within my ability to continue with our contract of the membership successfully. There for I asked to end my prior obligation of commitment to this company& they. Responded with 0 accountability of the delema they had left for me to "deal with".treated poorly and unfair when they proceeded to still withdrawal the payment from my account that I specifically previously told them I no longer had Ben going to continue forward with them and the contract.I felt cheeteed & scamed by the whole situation. I plan on taking complete legal action and can't believe they are even still in Buissnuss they have terrible customer service solving edicit and ability to put the customers needs as top priority.how embarresing.

A large assortment of machines, free weights and exercise implements. Thryve has a friendly atmosphere with knowledgeable trainers and several classes. The front end staff are welcoming and the location is convenient for a good work out. The space is a little crowded with all of the equipment, but that makes hiit and circuit training easy.

Nice gym. They tend to not open on time.

The location next to my house (Sandy) was shut down so they transferred me to west Jordan which was too far considering 24 hour fitness was just up the road from me. The Dickheaded manager at WJ refused to cancel my membership or be any help at all and then had the audacity to charge my account 3 days early. Bunch of greedy schmucks.

The star is for their friendliness. The lack of the 4 other stars are for the following: Personal Training, Classes, Daycare, and Lack of Accountability.
1. My wife and I tried personal training and worked with 2 different individuals, both were Super cool, but when you pay for PT maybe we had a bad expectation of wanting someone who would push you and focus on hitting goals and improvement. It was more like having a buddy who would just walk you through a random workout or even just ask what you wanted to do when you showed up (I guess we wanted a trainer not a workout buddy).
2. Then my wife loves classes but their times just didn't work with our schedule since there weren't a ton of options so we decided to cancel and my wife decided to go back to VASA because of their larger variety of classes that she could attending throughout the week.
3. We took our kids to the day care which was a big draw for us in the 1st place. That was a mistake, the room is open to above with the rest of the gym so my children got to listen to rap and other music blaring that I wouldn't deem appropriate for children so we almost felt guilty bringing them and subjecting them to that for an hour straight, so we never used the service again.
4. When I cancelled my membership they charged me for an additional month which I get for requiring 30 days but then I had another charge the month after that so I reached out to them and they told me since I didn't email a copy of the form I signed to their customer service email so it never went through. BUT here is the problem, when I cancelled a manager was present for the 1st part and said we were all good and then took off, then a girl had us fill out the form and she specifically told us that we could take a picture for our record just in case... well since we were told to email it but it was in the fine print they refused to refund the amount even though from my one sided opinion the error lies with us being verbally misinformed by a Thryve employee and instead of them taking accountability for that here we are with a sour taste in our mouths...
Well, we gave them a shot... maybe this will save you the effort of doing the same or maybe it will help you set a realistic expectation. To top it off, the agreement I signed with them had my work paying for the last month (employer had a marketing agreement) so they double dipped on top of refusing to provide my refund...

I really love this gym. It's never too crowded and the staff members are very friendly. I started going there as a non-member at first because you can get a class pass for High Fitness. They never pressured me to join. I just got the occasional email. I actually ended up joining on my own so that I could do different workouts and try other classes. They really give off a family vibe and treat you well. Shout out to Shadoe, Malynn and Ashley!! They are the best!

Very dissatisfied with the terrible customer service I have received from this gym the past month and a half. Twice I have been told that I will be getting a call back about issues with my account and twice I have had to follow up with them weeks after because no one has bothered to provide me with promised updates. I am also appalled at the lack of professionalism the woman who deals with membership accounts has shown. After I walked into to discuss my issues with them face to face, she popped up from behind a desk and said "oh yeah sorry I didn't get back to you, I kept putting it off and then I just forgot!" It was incredibly rude and unprofessional. I would be so ashamed if one of my employees treated customers the way she treated my husband and I. I was all for this gym until they failed to make reasonable accommodations, and failed to treat me like a valued customer by following up with me in any kind of way, especially after I provided them with free advertising opportunities. Don't waste your time with these people. There are better places to take your business.

I hate to even write a review on this but I am upset I did not take advantage of my 7 day free pass, I ended up enrolling for the Class Pass and after signing everything i was told it was a 12 month contract. I'm too nice I did not say anything. Then after my first training session I felt extremely uncomfortable with the trainer and after that have not returned since, I also felt like he was pressuring me into paying for training when I wasn't ready. I have only been there for a week but yes like everyone says on here who rated low scores, cancelling your membership is ridiculous. I'm stuck with it and I can't even use the membership because of the trainer who made me feel uncomfortable. I don't understand why they don't look at it case by case. I did not even utilize a full week of going there which I really wish I took advantage of the pass instead of getting stuck for 12 months. But who cares right they're getting $40 /month from me so it doesn't really matter. I should have stayed with VASA.

I had a great experience at first. I was diagnosed with a liver disease and had to cancel my membership. I hadn't even been signed up for a week. Canceling is a complete nightmare. They explained you have to have full disability to cancel but once you want them to show you where anything states you all of a sudden cant get a hold of anyone. Please do not sign up if your sick. You will never be able to get out of it. I now have to pay for a year of gym that ill never be able to use.

The staff is awesome. I've been training with Justin and Shadoe and they know how to get the best out of ya when ya don't feel like giving your best. The equipment is nice and its got all varieties from free weights to machines and trx bands if ya wanted to do more body weight exercises. I would recommend this gym to anyone wanting to get into a gym
