I have always had good experience with the staff as well. I just joined this week, but was a member in the past.

There are no water fountains, i had to get a drink from the sink in the bathroom! A lot of the treadmills are rusty, the ceiling leaks in the women only area. It is dark and depressing. Finally found the water fountains, they are in obscure corners. The movie room would-be really nice if the player worked consistently. The movie selection is not very good either!

It is 7:20 and it still not open. About 10 people have left because they planned an early workout as part of their day.

This Golds is not like what I was accustomed to. It was dark and dank but not really in the hardcore gym sense. They have a cool cardio theater that was probably the best area of the gym. The weight area has horrible lighting, like you may fall asleep between sets. The equipment was vast but could use updating.

BEWARE OF FRAUDULENT BILLING PRACTICES!!! I paid cash periodically to maintain a positive balance of $100 or more to avoid having my credit card billed. I started receiving calls stating my card denied the charges (card had been canceled years before) . Cassie at the local gym verified that I was a month ahead and couldn't figure why they were doing that and would get it corrected. I continued to get calls until I told them to cancel my membership. I was subsequently turned in to a debt collector that will now be wasting their time and resources trying to collect this non-debt. BEWARE!!!

Not much I can say, there is a reason why they are the biggest and the best. You can go to a gym because of a low price but you absolutely will not get the amenities, programs and service you will find at Gold's Gym.

Very poorly managed. I love the cinema room and use it everytime, but the sound really stinks! You can't understand the dialogue over the equipment. 4 out of 7 treadmills remain unusable. When equipment breaks down it's a very long time before it is repaired: Hot tub, faucets, equipment etc....The rug is pretty old and stained.

The is literally no way I would ever step foot in this gym. The manager Randall has ruined the image of the gym for me by contacting me 6 times, after I have left multiple messages with multiple staff members to not be contacted by anyone. The recruiting salespeople at Gold's are some of the most unprofessional salespeople I have ever met, solely in their attempt to recruit me by pestering me over and over. I am in sales, and I laugh every time anyone from this gym tries to contact me, as it only worsens my view of this gym, every single time. I have told everyone who I know that works out in Waco how unprofessional and annoying your staff is, and how awesome the staff at Planet Fitness is in my opinion.... multiple times. I called the corporate office about the manager and employees, as they do not seem to take no for an answer, and continue to keep you on their lead sheet despite multiple attempts to tell them to take you off. The fact that multiple people on the staff... the manager Randall and Graham... just pester people non stop to sign up isn't following up on leads, its just sad. They really need better leadership, and sales training. I will continue to happily work out at Planet Fitness, where I don't get harassed non stop. And I have heard from multiple other people that this is the case for them as well. I have left multiple messages for Randall and have NEVER heard back from him. I will be calling the Corporate office this morning as soon as they open.

No more punching bags... And bathroom stall door has been broke off the hinges for about a month. Gym has potential just needs some updates and equipment could stand to be worked on. Ok gym but if a la fitness showed up in town it would hurt this place pretty bad

I purchased over $800.00 worth of training sessions because I needed extra help training for a very important competition. The first trainer I had couldn't ever fit me into her schedule so she passed me off to another trainer who left the gym after two months, then I had a third trainer for about a month before she started something that took a lot of her time so she was going to pass me off to what would have been my fourth trainer. I requested from the assistant manager to have a refund since I paid in full and my competition was so close and I had been doing a lot on my own. He told me that a refund wouldn't be a problem. After a week and a half and not hearing from anyone I called the assistant manager who then tells me that a refund isnt possible because I passed the date of a refund. I asked if there was anything that could be done since this is a special circumstance but he said no. So I'm out over $800.00 and as soon as my contract is up I'm leaving Golds.

Pretty good if you like getting a dirty hot tub. But the machines and other equipment is great

It's pretty nice since the renovation. The staff is polite. I love the cinema room and use it everytime, but the sound really stinks! You can't understand the dialogue over the equipment. In the ladies workout room they have two TVs on neutral / non political stations, which is nice - when they are turned on. The rug is pretty old and stained. Good choice of equipment, not very crowded.

I enjoy my time here. The staff is great and extremely helpful. They keep the gym clean and they have lots of different classes to choose from.

The gym is verynice and well taken care of, all the people are very kind that work there. They have free weights, a hot tub, pool, sonna, aerobics mations and so much more. There is even an all women's section that has everything as well but for only women.

1st time to this gym. Not happy with this location. I am from out of town decided to go workout I go into the Studio to use treadmill. The 1st 2 treadmills do not work decided to go to the 3rd treadmill it makes noise so I decide to go to the 4 treadmill it was ok the it starts making same noise ad the 3rd treadmill. I let go of the hand bars to drink water and it rolls me off and didn't give me a chance to catch the hand bars. I was going 2.5 mph on incline 2. So I wasn't going fast. I hit my right arm right side of my face and my glasses flew off my face and both my knees. I did get an incident report done. And was told I could not get a copy of it. The guy did write the # if the treadmill. But when he went looking for the manager she acted like she didn't care. All she did was go to the front got an incident report for show the employee what to do and walked into the office instead of going to speak to me to see if I was ok. She finally came out to speak with me when mentioned I work in the medical field so I know there is away to get a copy of the report. She didn't ask if I was ok. She stated she didn't know there were problems with the treadmills.
I don't understand how she didn't know 2 treadmill are not working and there are problems with the next 2 treadmills in the Studio room. It doesn't take much to check them and put signs saying "OUT OF ORDER".
Will it take someone to in up in the hospital or a law suit for them to do that and the manager care. The employee care more than the manager did.
FYI, Before you use any of their equipment make sure you check it and make sure some one is around just in case you get hurt like I did.
I HAVE ONLY BEEN WITH GOLDS GYM 1 WEEK AND THIS IS THE EXPERIENCE I GET.
THINKING OF GOING BACK TO 24 HOUR FITNESS WHEN I GET BACK HOME.

This place is just what I was looking for. Plenty of free weights and machines to get a good workout. There's also plenty of cardio machines to choose from. Like any gym, you can't be picky during peak hours b/c there a lot of people there. There's usually an open lane in the pool. There are tons of great classes. My only beef with this place is it's a little pricey.

Love this gym. Lots of machines and weights, and most of the staff is pretty friendly. Kristen, the front desk associate, is always warm and smiling. The place is pretty clean. My only complaint is there could stand to be more bars for the bench press and squat machines. There aren't enough and sometimes the machines will be open, but there won't be an available bar, so I end up not being able to do my workout or I have to wait for an open one. Other than that, 5 stars!

This gym was clean and very presentable. It was my first time in a Gold's Gym and I would definitely go back when I visit Waco. Was only in town for a few days and the drop-in rate was reasonable at $10 and I was able to workout how I wanted. Gave only 4 stars because some of the equipment was a little worn out and I'm pretty sure the plates are not the weight they display. With only 1 power rack I can't imagine people come here and are able to squat without waiting forever.

Trainer looking for employment and growth. Out of the 3 locations nearest, Waco is where I felt most comfortable during interview. Great place! Hope to one day become affiliated.

This is a great place to get your workout on. The facility includes a pool, sauna, Cinema room, woman's private work room, Zumba classes, spin classes, basketball court, plenty of machines to hit weights and cardio. Also can drop the kids off in a play room for at least an hour. Busy times include weekdays after 5. Check it out if you're in town and have a membership.

Its a pretty nice gym, but there arent many water fountains. The one in the men's lockerroom tastes like pool water. The evenings are packed but they have a good amount of equipment
