Terrible staff. Dirty area EVENTHO they seem to appear walking vacuuming.Dirt is visible under all of the machines piles of dust and hair. Also the air vents are covered in dirt and dust. The machines are packed in so tight you're almost touching the person next to you. Absolutely terrible experience for what you have to pay. Only thing halfway decent is the outdoor pool.
Was a very nice upscale facility, had everything I wanted. People not so much. Too expensive per month.
Life Time facilities have ruined it for me when it comes to other gyms. Their prices are high but for good reason. Restrooms are so clean, and the staff is extremely helpful. The weight room never had a machine down, and if it does you can expect it to get fixed right away.
I actually really love this gym! I moved from out of state recently and was hoping to find a place that felt like home. The gym itself has many perks and amenities that are awesome: saunas, pools, the cafe and spa, excellent selection of weight room equipment, the bathrooms are nice and clean. Honestly, the humans I've met at this club are what makes this club unique - my most favorite of which being the friendly and incredibly loving front desk girl (Adriana!) who took the time to not only warmly welcome me but who never misses an opportunity to address me by name and ask about my family and how I am acclimating in Texas, to the trainers on the upper floor (David and James specifically!) to the cafe staff (Mike!) who knows my order before I even walk up to the counter. The level of professionalism and kindness that these humans show to members is exactly why I love this club so much. They give it heart. Stoked on being here!
Been knowing the owner for several years and love his work ethic toward clients reaching their goals. Great facility with great trainers. Highly recommend
The absolute worst! Cancelled my membership months ago and now they are claiming they need a freaking Notary signed certified letter! Unreal! This place got so hood my wife and kids didn't feel safe to go there anymore. It looks like I may have to sue them to make this right. RUN AWAY AS FAST AS POSSIBLE! THIS PLACE IS A TOTAL POS!!
Really disappointed to hear about the new hours. I was looking forward to joining again. As other ppl stated, it was wonderful coming in during the off hours and not waiting for anything and having quiet time to be intense and truly focus.
If the hours change back to 24/7 I'll be there in a heartbeat.
Went to the gym at 12am because I typically get off work late. Come to find out that they now close at 12am. Very disappointing. A member said go to Cinco Ranch they are open 24hr. Got there and they said all locations will be closing at 12am now. I've been a Member since they first opened and will now be closing my account. It was so relaxing to get to the gym when less people were there and can concentrate and relax....guess good things dont last.
Worse experience ever. How can a place be good, if their manager hang up calls. The tone of a company/club comes from the top, and the top show you their attitude toward their company/club and their career right at the second they hang up the call.
I was considering leaving my gym and join LT but dang they're a lot of negative reviews in three past few months!!! I'm glad I read the recent reviews because I didn't know they took away their 24 hours hour!! My window to workout is very limited and to know that the late comers are now forced to go early making the gym extremely crowded really sealed the deal for me. Then you but no thanks. You definitely lost two potential members with taking away the 24 hours hour.

We just became members yesterday. I am very disappointed with the fact that the account manager only offered us the highest initial one-time membership fee without covering all the options. We became members, and I learned about the other options when I went home and checked the lifetime website. Quick note to the management: your clients are not fools and need to see all the options before they become members. Honesty is key to your long-term success.

I cancelled my membership at another gym just to go here about 2 years back..loved it until they started pushing the time back and taking away all the good equipments...I get off late from work so closing at 12 am doesn't work out with my schedule..all the people that worked out late started coming a little earlier and now it's significantly busier at nights...would be better if the closed at 2 am instead of 12 am..2 stars are for employees bc it's not there fault otherwise would give it a 1...might have to find another gym soon!
For the amount I pay for my membership I should have a gym that is 24 hours. The main reason I joined this gym. Now it closes at 12am that is ridiculous. Note to managment: We pay the premium for a gym that should be open 24 hours. Let's get this resolved as I am not the only one voicing my opinion. I would hate to cancel my membership. Thanks
I had kept my membership on hold since last 1.5 years, they said about six months back changed their rules and now that there is no entry for hold members on 2nd and 4th week end of every month. Happily they charged $16 every month for no reason. This club is behind money, they milk all your money if you join, beware.
I am appalled that a premium health club would have the gull to tell my HANDYCAPPED mother (doing therapy exercises) that she has to evacuate the swimming lanes so that the CHILDREN have more room to play/swim.
The managements solution to my mothers complaint was to use the OUTSIDE POOL that is COLD. Do you know how painful it is when you get older and your body starts to ache at the slightest drop in temperature?? And yet you want your older members to suck it up and get in that water???? If you are required to do physical therapy exercises in the water just to make an ATTEMPT at a life with a little less pain the last thing you want is to be in cold water. If you have a loved one who wants to be in the water for those few minutes of pain relief I BEG YOU take them somewhere else. These people do not care if your older and hurting. They care more about the money they get from the parents with kids then they do your loved ones.
The absurdity doesnt stop there. The location manager herself, Wendy or whatever her name is, was giving an older woman a hard time because she lost her card and locker again. It was obvious to us that this woman may be suffering from a possible brain disease such as dementia or a minor case of Alzheimer's by this point. My mother even offered to pay for the key replacement just so the poor woman could have a key and this manager's response was "that's not the point" and would not allow my mother to help this woman get another key.
Is this how you want you or your loved ones to be treated when they need the help most????
I've been a huge Life Time Fitness supporter, mainly because the gym is 24 hours and it works out perfectly for my work/school schedule. Well, recently I received an email from the General Manager, Wendy Flory, about them changing their hours to 4am-Midnight. I really do not understand the purpose of them changing the hours. At midnight, Life Time is still full, and from midnight-4am there are about 10-15 people who religiously come and workout. For someone that struggles with really bad social anxiety, 1-4 am was the perfect time to go to the gym. I easily stay 1.5-2 hours and workout. The time change really ruins my experience with Life Time.
Don't like the changes. I have been a member since 2008' Best Gym ever: then they changed and opened the center of the floor up for "core" training (which I am a fan of), problem is they got rid of a lot and I mean a lot of exercise and strength equipment. Now there are always lines waiting on the same machine or worse the machine is not around anymore. Stinks...... I hear a lot of complaints, not sure if they asked members before the changes...would have been nice
Awesome facilty and faculty. Very large array of equipment and the pool area steam room and sauna are top notch. Many days it feels like you're on a vacation get away when you in here.
You better lawyer up before signing up for a membership with this gym. Have the lawyer read the entire contract twice. Lifetime will try to milk as much money as they can from you with their sales strategy and an entire business plan designed quite openly around how to inconvenience customers enough to extract as much money from them as possible. This includes otherwise nonsensical conditions like having to be at the gym in person to do any sort of changes to your plans, no exceptions, and if you ever put your plan on hold, it will automatically re-activate at the most inconvenient time possible. Out of town? Tough luck. You just saddled up to pay hundreds of dollars in fees.
Membership Services (Corporate Office) - the lousiest service. Paid $10.83 for 3 years to put the membership on hold when my husband lost his job. Tried asking membership services, corporate office if they would make an exception because $360 was paid to them and just cancel the membership. She told me no because they needed 30 days notice. The worse people who just don't understand life changes. If you want to get stuck with a membership and NOT have a corporation that cares about their membership needs and life changes LIFETIME SHOULD BE YOUR CHOICE. I will definitely bad mouth LIFETIME every opportunity I get. If I could give them a big fat 0, they would get it.
The new renovations are very disappointing there is less space and less machines for individuals to use. All the machines are facing each other and very close together it makes me feel very uncomfortable. They are focusing on group classes it takes up most of the space and you have to pay a lot extra to do the classes this new layout is not good for people who want to work out individually. And on top of all that they are raising the price. This is not a $10 gym but it is starting to feel like it. Every person I've talked to who goes to this gym feels the same. I used to love going to this gym but I will be looking for a new gym that has a better layout for individuals.
Love this Gym , its better then the other gym I was a member at. The fitness classes are amazing , the machines and weight lifts works great, the locker rooms are so clean , and the employees are so nice and great at there jobs. I have been a member since April 2017 and it has been so amazing. If you are looking for a Gym PLEASE I would highly recommend this Gym. I give this Gym 5 stars for the hard work they do here.
I've been a member at this gym for 4-5 years. The gym is fine, but I hate their business policy, especially the one month advance policy if you want to hold your membership or change anything. Besides, they charge you a fee whenever you want to make a change. The sales guy is just very slick, but you can tell they are thinking about commission rather than there being helpful.
On the positive side, the locker room is cleaner than other gyms. That is why I am still going there, but I am seriously considering cancel my membership.
I love this club so much! All the staff is very friendly; they really try to get to know you as in individual. The facility is always clean!
I also love the cafe! They have a great variety of delicious and healthy food!
Not to mention, it's pretty cool how they have a Spa inside of the gym! I have always had fantastic services when I go to the spa and I love how inviting all the technicians are!
The Lifetime Fitness Sugar Land feels like a second home to me!
No lights illuminating parking lot or outside of gym whatsoever at night, very dark and unwelcoming when pulling up after daylight hours. Always out of hand sanitizer. The trainers are either on steroids or so out of shape it looks as if THEY need a real trainer. One of the trainers asked me to pick up weights because he was too lazy to do so. James. Pettiness. It's a shame that Life Time doesn't have higher standards.
Really..... they are just want your money!!!!
I have a 1 year contract and it will be done by tomorrow.
so i went to cancel because i didnt even go to the gym for the last 3 or 4 months. they said i have to pay for another month( 30 days notice).
my advice to you .... never sign a contact with them if you have to be with them!!! or just go to other gym, there are a lot of them around and half the price.
This is a fantastic gym but there are a few things that prevented me from giving this place 5 stars.
First, there are just way too many "privileged" kids that go here hogging all of the equipment and preventing the more serious gym-goers from working out. I understand gyms get busy during certain times but I've had to put several teens in their place on numerous occasions due to bad attitudes or disrespect. They act entitled, as if they own the place.
Second, while there are enough free weights there aren't many benches and the benches they do have (near the dumbbells) aren't even latched to the ground so varying up your workout sets may prove difficult for some.
Third, it's expensive. I was paying for a ton of amenities I didn't really use. And get this, those amenities also come at additional costs if you want to utilize them. Good business model but terrible for the customers pockets.
Now, the good stuff...
Towel service. It's nice that they keep an abundance of clean, fresh towels always ready.
The daycare is phenomenal and the ladies are super nice.
The cafe is a bodybuilders dream for portioned, high-protein meals. It isn't cheap though.
The dead lift and squat racks are great and in my opinion, probably the highlight of this gym.
All in all, your membership pays for all of the "extras" that you may or may not use. If you're a millennial, this may be your kind of place. But if you're the type that wants to go in and hit some iron, you're better off spending much less money and going with a traditional gym.
For those just into the "healthy lifestyle," you will love it here.
For bodybuilders and power lifters, even a place like Fitness Connection would be a better choice.
