Love, Love, Love Vinny! He is so friendly and helpful.
I work DT, so it's very convenient for me. I love that it's a very personal gym as in small because everyone there means business. No one bothers me and people actually let me workout without feeling like im being watched. Been at Golds Gym Travis for about a year and I TRULY LOVE IT!

Travis Street (GOLD GYM) is conveniently located for locally and out of towners of walking distance ..The staff is very professional and friendly! Because of its size you won't find everything you want but does have the basic for BODY BUILDING and CARDIO...

Well, I only frequent this gym due to its location to my house. This is probably the worst gold's location in San Antonio. The gym is extremely small and cramped. People rush in during their lunch break, most are very rude, and rush out without cleaning up after themselves. The layout of the gym doesn't make sense. You can tell the people who work here don't understand how gym equipment should be spaced out. I would recommend going very early in the morning or from 2:00 to 4:30 to avoid rush.

Like most Gold's Gym's good equipment, but not the latest. Poorly trained staff, makes you think it would be dangerous to get a personal trainer.

The hours are terrible here and this gym is cramped/half of the cardio equipment is always broken. The hours work if you strictly want to use this gym as a place to workout during work but, other than that, it's the worst Gold's Gym location in San Antonio - hands down. On top of all of that, I have been trying to cancel my membership for almost 7 months now. I have filled out three cancellation forms, 2 of which were lost and the other was "incorrectly run" by the management. Gold's had continued to charge me, after I have called them repeatedly every two weeks and been assured every time that my membership would be cancelled. The management is never available for assistance when I call, no matter what time I call so I'm always stuck with an employee that can't do anything assuring me that they will sort it out. I have had to put a merchant block on Gold's Gym. They're in gross violation of the agreement I signed with them. I have been trying to cancel since before November and I just got off the phone with them this morning because now that I have a merchant block, I just get repeated automated calls and emails telling me my account is overdue. Also, every time I call, the employee informs me that there is STILL nothing on my file indicating that I have been trying to cancel or that ANYTHING is being process.

It's an express gym. Has all the basics you need to get an ok workout. I use it mostly to change clothes after work and freshen up when I run the river walk downtown.

Good gym, small, cleaner then most, not a lot of equipment but has the basics. Great if you live nearby. Staff is moderately attentive.

There are plenty of workout options even though it's a smaller Gold's Gym.

Locker rooms: Phenomenal.

Hygiene options: They have mouthwash, shaving cream and hand soap

Security: They have keycode lockers. I don't know if you have to rent lockers. There is also an option to bring your own lock. They do not tolerate panhandlers.

Issues: There are not enough options for calf exercises. There is a lack of barbell racks. There is only one in the whole gym.

The gym is very limited, weird hours, no sauna, no pool, 1 squat rack, 1 bench press, few cables overall this gym S***k. Sometimes I find it hard to believe it was a Ruby level. The location is awesome. If they had a sauna and less cardio machines it would be a great place. But hey, they have bumper plates you can't drop.

My home gym is GG Roger's Ranch, but work is only 2 blocks away from GG Travis - extremely convenient and I go almost every day during the work week. The staff is awesome, extremely friendly and helpful. The gym has enough for everyone - granted if you go during "rush hour" you will have to rotate or wait for something specific to become available - as it is in all the larger gyms with a heavier volume of people. All the people that frequent this gym are very nice and respectful. Personal trainers are very friendly and knowledgeable. LOVE THIS GYM!!

The gym itself is okay but the service is horrible. But my husband and I were lied too about a gym membership. We went in and at the front desk, there was a employee name Lucia or something in that area and she said oh yeah we have a special - $0 down! We thought it was great so my husband continue to pursue a membership. I chose not too because we had issues with Golds Gym in Converse on Pat Booker where they lied about ending our contract and was charging us for 3 months. So I asked Lucia more than once, is this a contract because we don't want it. She lied to us over and over again. So we left thinking we had a deal paying month to month. 4 months later we got a membership at the Y and wanted to inform Gold's Gym that we were leaving and they said we had a contract. So I called the office spoke with John Moses, operational manager explained my frustration and he said he would contact Shane Billy, his GM and call me back the next day. Here it is a week later and no phone call but they definitely charged our card. GOLD'S GYM is only here to take your money. It's unbelievable.

They lied about me being in a contract. When I signed up we were told Golds gym didn't do contract anymore. Upon trying to cancel they said your in a contract. Now they steal my money every month. I have sent a email to customer care and no response. There District manger was going to call a week ago and didn't. I just want a refund and let go. This has taken more work then needed. So I had to add Shane Billings attempt to not care about his employees lie to get members. Shane I told your contract is wrong and I have a witness that was with upon signing up.

Wish it had a pool, but the towel service and showers make up for it. Good equipment for the space. Some could use an upgrade.
