It is a nice place, clean, wonderful and friendly staff, cleaning crew are very good and very hard worker. Unfortunately some of the members through paper towels in the sauna area and around some machines.Overall very good place ,a great staff and members.My wife and me very happy and pleased to be members of LA fitness in Rowlett TX.
This location has a great variety of free weights, weighted machines and cable machines. They also have a full size basketball court, Olympic pool, five rachet ball courts, and a very large group fitness room. Oh and a really nice spin room. A great gym!
The personal training team is amazing. It's really worth every penny. Love my results.
it has been a long time since I did not go to workout because I had a surgery and I forgot to freeze my account, yesterday I went and I used the pool then I had to shower, what I found in the showers was disgusting.
I will find a way to share pictures.
Don't sign up for personal training. There is not a 4 month plan.
Place added new machines, flooring and paint back in May. They need to add maintenance person. The equipment is usually filthy. The dirt already built up around the base of new machines is really unbelievable. Monitering the weights left on the equipment would be nice too.

Good aqua instructors but the pool has green mold all over the edges of the pool and dead roaches or mud all over the floor. I know it is hard to clean up after adults who litter but can the pool please get cleaned and the floor around pool be swept up before 9 am so we don't hear the crunch ot Crickets under our feet. It is so green and moldy looking where we are supposed to crasp and hold on during class.

Good location, it may need some general updates and some of the equipment is old but the staff is friendly and helpful!

Saw the manager go around super early one morning picking up trash around the floor -- that speaks a lot to me, as someone who's been to a lot of gyms.

It was a Sunday, so my friends left the account as it is as a frozen account.T hey would come back on Monday. THIS IS WHERE EVERYTHING GOES WRONG. After they left, 1 hour later my friends got an email saying that the account has been unfrozen. and LA fitness started to charge membership fees monthly!!!!
The staff are the worst in the world, especially those 2 guys working in the afternoon on Easter Sunday, 2018.
They committed frauds! I hope justice can be served!

Usually pretty clean and lots of tvs near the treadmills. Seems it needs a few upgrades here and there though. The Sachse location is newer and I like it a little better.

I recently moved to the area and this was the closest location to me. The location of this gym is great but it was extremely dirty. I got there at 5am and have gone to the LA fitness off of Centerville rd in garland at this time and it has always been clean or in the process of being cleaned. The trash bins were full, floors not swept, and bathrooms were gross. I hope someone sees this and takes care of it. Thanks!
I really enjoyed my experience at the Rowlett LA Fitness. The fitness sales consultant, Fumba was very accommodating and helpful. I would definitely recommend this location to my friends!
Just started at LA Fitness about 2 weeks ago so far the experience has been great. The club is much cleaner than the 24 hr fitness I use to go to before I started here.The staff is friendly and helpful. I highly recommend coming in and talking to Fumba the GM and taking a tour.
Been going to LA Fitness this last year. Lots of good equipment, nice salt water pool, basketball court, and glass backwall raquetball courts. And a kids area for the short people when their parents are exercising.
Best thing are the people, both the staff and the clients. A friendly relaxed atmosphere. Some people are serious about exercise, some people are casual, all ages are there and it is definitely not a meat market.
In short a good place for everyone

Floor in locker room is usually dirty. Bathrooms are bad, never cleaned the night before or early morning. I typically arrive to dirty toilet seats and no toilet paper. Some staff are really nice and seem to have it together. Might have to stop coming here.
Reticently signed up for this gym, and I've only been a few times. But I've seen all the negative reviews that mention it being dirty. I'm not sure what they are talking about. When it comes down to it, this is basically the best gym in Rowlett. Which when you look at the competition isn't saying much.
I have been to a few gyms that are a little newer, and shiner. But I've also been to a few that have been a lot older and dirtier. But its a huge gym, with plenty of equipment, racquetball, and a nice heated pool.
So far I got nothing to complain about.
I get my workout done and that's about it. The sauna benches are broken all over the place for one... But my main issue is, closing at 10 on Friday's when you would think you would stay open later on days that people stay out later or do not have to be in earlier like they do on weekdays. I've been part of LA for years now and watching multiple friends that I bring to the gym canceling and going to other gyms because their schedules can't fit your early hours. I understand being closed on Sundays, but 10 on fridays and 8 on Saturday's? What about people in the restaurant industry, night travel nurses, etc...people who work until the early nights and/or weekends. You are losing people due to your hours and is very inconvientant to everyone except your staff. I understand I can always go back to 24 hour fitness, but I really don't want to step that low! :)
THIS PLACE IS A SCAM. If I could give zero or negative stars I would. I was told when I signed up for my training membership that I could cancel at any time. Any sessions I had paid for and were unused I would have 30 days to utilize. What I was NOT TOLD(which corporate has admitted on the phone is a training issue that they need to address) is that you can cancel at any time but have to pay a buy out clause. I am relocating and that is not a sufficient reason to cancel. So I have to pay $900 to buy out or $200 a month for a training session I can't use. THIS IS RIDICULOUS. Make sure you ask all the right questions and read the 28 page document they have you sign before you agree because their sales staff are not trained to properly inform you of what you are purchasing.
I wish these gyms were open 24 hrs on weekends. When people are free the gym is closed. I understand the difficulty of the administration but for an additional fee it may. E worth a try and useful for members.
