The gym just opened after covid19 but unlike other gyms ....they fail when it comes to following gov recommend guidelines. Way too many people allowed. I figured that they would fail to since they barely maintain the upkeep of the gym before the pandemic ... I guess I will check out some other gym options that have stepped up their customer safety.

I've been going to this gym for years. The team here is extremely helpful. My child loves coming to the Kid's Club and always makes new friends. This Golds has everything you need to get in shape or maintain your health. My #1 gym!

After moving from NYC, I started at this gym. I was shock at how comfortable and useful this gym was. Then had to leave due to other reasons. After spending 9 years at 24, now I'm back and it feels awesome. It was so easy to work with Justin (Gym Mgr), he made the membership process so easy and again comfortable. Went through the different options and found which works best for my lifestyle. I tried to sign up at another location but had a horrid experience. I do know the Gold's way and what I experience last wk was not it. So after going back to my old gym, I am much happier. They have some of the most awesome, knowledgeable fitness instructors, helping with your form like Rachel Durham, Robin/Rigo, Nikki Day and Shawna Blake. Good to be home! The equipment is well taken care of at this location. Clean gym.
FYI- I left my 1.5 carat wedding band in the shower, 1 day later, it was found and returned to me. Honest people goes to this location.

I have never been treated so rude by a manager!! The manager Ryan is who I spoke with and when I asked to speak to his manager he said "I'm not just gonna pass you on to him"!!! If I could give this review 0 stars I would! If you want a gym with good customer service this is not the place for you!

Today August 15th I took my daughter to the kids club and is like living her home alone. The lady that works there she was no where to be seen I was like hello hello and no one answer I saw one little girl I ask her if anybody was there, she said yes she call the lady the lady finally came to the desk my daughter finally got in. When I pick her up the lady was not there again I pick her up the lady didn't even know that I pick her up I ask my daughter if the lady talk to her at all she said no so this lady who suppose to work there and watch the kids just let them in and go do who knows what. And the kids are just on there own.. if they dont wanna look after the kids they shouldn't be there at all.

Pretty pathetic gym. The manager, Brandon, is a pretty big jerk. I'd avoid this Gold's and go to one with a manager a little more friendly and less pretentious. Equipment is okay, almost always busy. Have had to wait for a machine.

Been coming here for over 2 years now. Within the past 2 months they have stopped all air conditioning in the building and normally is sitting at around 90 degrees during the hottest part of the year. I have personally asked three front desk representatives and nothing has been done to fix the problem. Would not reccomend joining.

I had a slight issue with my billing and Marcus helped me out and was so sweet. I love this gym. Thank you Marcus. :)

Let me start with once upon time for like 5 years + the golds gym at Hester crossing was my home gym. I loved the location, the whole team was outstanding, even with the never ending flaws on equipment bein broken, that whole time it was convenient to my commute, this was the spot I always choose to work out.
Then hutto location has been open for a while now, I have been disconnected with this Hester crossing location or kids club to go to hutto instead.
On my recent visit few minutes a go 4:16pm 5/07 to Hester crossing golds gym location.
I was trying to get my son in with me like the old days at the kids club. Once we enter the club the young lady notified me that no records of my son on the system and it would cost $4 per child to be watched. The young lady also suggested to go to the front desk to talk to the sales rep to request a one day free pass. I do has she recommended, I asked the front desk (brian Gonzalez) an another young gentleman at the front desk and he said "no, there's not such a thing that would $4 and that's it" then continue to Write on the computer. Never said anything about new policy or nothing, I even mentioned this is first time in a long while. He proceeds to type something in the computer and didn't acknowledge it.
Is this how you behind the desk should talk to clients? I am sorry but I don't come to the gym to have any treatment like this. I am Totally disappointed how poorly this was handle it.
As far new policy and such they should be emailed or something to notify changes on new charges so that the clients like me that pays for the year in advance don't have experiences like this.
One more thing besides from this awful visit to Hester location.
on my last renewal few months back in January when I fully paid for the year as my usual. I was approached to "try out" the newest investment of the body scan. Witch by the way I only tryed it that one time and never got a chance to re do it again due to lack of time and my work.
Anyways I was told at the time that it's a one time purchase, one time payment one single transaction, since I mentioned several million times to the young guy that was helping me "Lawrence" I only do one time payments. Since don't like monthly payments hanging over my head or surprise charges.
They proceeded to charge $30 for 3 months of the service at that same time. Well, To my surprise in April statement I have been charged on my credit card $10 ever since, a grand total so far $60! And it keeps coming, I thought it was a joke of some kind. I called and told them about as you guys calls it "discrepancy" on my account and they "cancelled" witch I wasn't told about it back in January.
I called them again today after that unforgettable visit at Hester crossing and they said "oh that's our cancellation procedure policy you will still getting billed and charged for the next 30 days after you cancelled" I was left in shock and more disappointment.
So this whole "try this one time payment" turned out into a never ending hell headache charges. I told the guy on the phone "appeared to be a manager name Trent" I only did a one single transaction not a long term. How could they! He said I am sorry that's our policy. Oh I asked to please remove my credit card information from the system and he said "we can't do that" sorry nothing we can do about it. Are you flipping serious right now!!! I can't deal with how this "try" has turned into a unwanted unpleasant headache.
Well, to my now new understanding and very educational learning about this new "policy" seems to only work on your favor. if "discrepancies" likes this keep on going after a long sorta healthy relationship with gold gym as a company. It will only Leave me with a very hard decision to not renew next time around.
Thanks for your time.

Good location. Big parking lot. Gym is deep from the entrance. Weight pit large & spacious with padding on floor. Nice pool sauna jacuzzi area. Basketball & cardio cinema. Best point I can make about this gym is it is large spread out with overhead fans on high and well placed televisions. Clean.

Great gym. Plenty of equipment. It's our second gold's gym choice location in the area. Good big room for my husband to practice his Cyr wheel (Don't know what that is, follow @aerialjim on Instagram).

They actually do have had really bad customer service in the past. Lately it's been better with new staff in the evening. They are more positive and aknowledgeable to members while having fun with staff. They still have some of the nasty staff of the past but it's almost little to none I see. Mostly just the personal trainers left of that bad side.
The rumors that aren't really rumors of them flirting with cute girls are true as far as the staff in the past and the ones of that past still around.
I honestly don't care but I could see how it holds some members to better acknowledgment than others.
I honestly expect ever time I go there for 1 or 2 machines to always be broken. But 9/10 they have another one working. This is only an issue during the busy days.
In my experience they are as far as money and management very greedy and untrustworthy. You do need to stay on them to a promise to make sure they hold it. They will tell you sorry and discount their mistake to make some kind of money off you.
I suggest if you do work out here keep things basic while educating yourself with studies on great form and exercises.
It's not horrible here. But, it could be so much better. There's a lot of true to these angry comments the manager isn't responding to.

I have never had a bad experience with the front desk and members are nice all employees seem friendly to me, I would say that some of the treadmills are not fully functional example three of them stopped on me in the middle of a run... and it is a bit cold in there other than that this one is my prefered Golds out of the 3 closest to me!

My only experience with this particular location was cancelling my membership there. Despite cancelling in January, I continue to be charged twice per month for my membership. I have called this branch multiple times to address the issue. Each time a gym employee takes my number and promises that a manager will call me back. I have not received any call-backs and the charges continue to hit my credit card. I would not recommend going to this gym to perform any administrative activity on your Gold's account.

Be careful when you try to cancel your membership, paperwork gets lost and they call you to discuss why membership was canceled supposedly, when in reality they want to keep your membership going for another month to charge you. Very misleading management, however employees are cool, especially Adrian in Round Rock.

Great gym. Friendly staff. Clean facility. Kids care is always fun for our child

Nice gym reason I gave it one star because they entirely too cold in there. It's a sign when u have gym staff walking around with jackets on. And half the gym complaining amongst each other that the gym is too cold. Cold gym ingury waiting to happen. Pulled or torn muscles do to cold temperatures inside the gym, simply ridiculous. Sometimes forcing you to go work out at other gyms.

I love going to this gym especially since they have a media room. The gym is always clean and you always see staff walking around if you have questions. They also have a kid's room that have decent hours for child care assistance.

I'm sure its a great facility for knowledgeable, avid and healthy gym goers but I only was able to go once in 2 months due to health issues and scheduling the "free assessment" never happened because I needed early morning and the person they assigned me to was only available once in that time frame which didn't work for me. I was told I paid my 'last month' when I signed up but now (3 days after I canceled) I get an email saying they are going to charge me one more month and I can use the gym until September......BUT they took my key tag to get in....? My one time at the gym cost me $160 and countless emails trying to schedule an assessment...
UPDATE: I went in to speak with someone about that final payment and Dorothy the General Manager was there. Long story short I still had to pay that last month but she was awesome! Gave me a new key tag, scheduled my assessment for a time I could actually go and it went great. It was a 1 hour interview/guided tour of the facility teaching me how to use the equipment best for me. Rethinking my membership.

Edit: Current management was decently receptive to concerns. No refunds, unfortunately, but that's on me for not reading the contract.
Be careful for what you're signing up for. Gym itself is pretty nice and the new staff members are a lot better than the old ones.

Get stronger and the other members are quite nice. Small complaint is some of the more fit individuals do not rack the weights when they are finished

So far there is very little good I can say about this location.
1. Read your contracts super carefully, do not listen to what you're told you're signing.
2. Ask for quotes from different people, you will get different answers and always keep a copy of your paperwork.
3. I hurt my back last week and have now called 6 days in a row, multiple times a day to reschedule my appointment with my personal trainer there and have yet to receive a confirmation or even a call back. I most likely will be forced to pay for the session and told for the second time that it was my fault for not rescheduling sooner.
Correction, they finally called me back to reschedule after 5 days of calling and 15 messages.
4. I have followed their diet to the letter, I have followed the workout program I was given to the letter and I have gained quite a bit of weight specifically in body fat, not muscle.
5. Their machines are in working order though.

Their equipment is good, Movie/cycling room is pretty cool too; however, the facility is absolutely filthy. I don't think they ever clean their machines. The entire building also smells like sweat. my advice to management is.. CLEAN, CLEAN, CLEAN. There is no excuse for how dirty the machines are.
