I did crossfit for around 2 years before excuses got the best of me and I ended up taking a 3 or 4 year break. When I did decide to get back into it I was immediately welcomed here. The box (crossfit talk for the gym itself) is tiny, the classes are small and the entire coaching staff consist of only two people a husband and wife team. While those statements may sound negative, they most definitely are not. Each class is intimate. Each participant is coached individually on the areas they need help with and the whole place has this wonderful, tight knit, family feel.
If you are considering crossfit. Do it. It may seem expensive but when you consider the amount of one on one personal training you are getting it suddenly feels cheap for what it is.
If you are considering crossfit in the Round Rock, Pflugerville or N. Austin area definitely give Crossfit Upheaval a try. The entire dynamic is welcoming to new members of all fitness levels and the programming is top notch. Ben is a former chiropractor and takes safety, mobility and function seriously. You won't find the sloppy, dangerous things that are so often prevalent at some boxes anywhere near Crossfit Upheaval.
