My mother in law came to visit and was denied a day pass because her ID was not local. Paying 45 dollars a month I would hope the gym I go to would prioritize the health of their members and their families rather than prioritizing profits in their wallet. Very upset about their customer service.

Been coming to this gym ever since the Plano one was destroyed by a storm. This Golds is superior - clean, friendly staff, excellent selection of machines, tons of various classes and bomb personal trainers! The AGM is considerably hardworking and always eager to please!

It will require a legal team to get this place to stop drafting monthly payments, even when you go in person to sign the necessary documents to cancel your membership bc you are relocating 4h away. For almost 6m now Gold's continues to reimburse me of fees only to draft again without my consent. Horrible business compliance capabilities.

One of the worst run gyms.
Equipment goes missing and many broken lockers.
If you are over the age of 65 it may work for you.
Disappointed by crappy hours and horrible staff

Pretty clean facility, not so helpful trainers walking around (unless you ask). Good equipment variety. Knock that dirt off your shoulder girl....

I have not been here. Somehow they have my phone number and I get collection calls, voice mails and texts everyday. I can not even determine which location is generating this. I have tried numerous times to return the call but cannot get past the automated system to talk to a representative. I did finally talk to a person at one location and he tried diligently and kindly to help. But he was unable to do so.

Absolutely the worst customer service. They love to help you get a membership then they never want to speak to you again. If you ask questions they make it obvious you are annoying them. Never had a problem with 24hr fitness.. wow.... I regret switching to golds

If I could give them no stars I would. I have had a Golds membership for over 20 years and this location has the worst customer service. The GM claimed that my family memeber add on was not able to accesss this gym. Only the Desoto one. When we tried to show him that we both come to this gym all the time and show him the check ins on the Golds gym app he refused to listen and kept blaming us for being wrong. When we asked how he had been able to check in and access not only this gym but the gym in Venice beach, Florida, San Antonio, Houston, and Oklahoma City with NO problems he had no answers and continued to be combative. Do not pay these high prices at this gym only to be treated like trash. Go to 24 up the street!

After 5 times attempting to cancel my membership 2 times in the club they finally quit taking money out of my account 10 month later and after 2 in office visits and 4 phone calls. Never returned a message and was always told
No one can help me but will have them call me back.

Things rae going down the hill fast. High coach turn-over. Systems are always down, issues with phone apps. Staff seem friendly on surface. Best equipment selection in the area though.

I've been a Gold's member through 3 gyms. Started at Arapaho (which I still miss and think was the best of the 3), then to Plano, and now Richardson. While Richardson isn't as spacious or setup as well as Plano, the gym and facility is still really nice. I've always had positive interactions with staff. One of the trainers (Dustin) thinks he has priority over gym member's use of facilities, but outside of that it's all been great. A few hiccups here and there with equipment. Mentioned many of them to front desk and most don't get repaired unless mentioned multiple times, but they do eventually repair the equipment. I'd give it 5 stars with just a tad more effort and perhaps a slightly better layout and more stretch room (where's the band stretcher that all other local Gold's have had?), but overall I'm very satisfied for the price paid. I'd recommend to anyone looking for an affordable local gym.

As I'm sitting here waiting at Gold's gym I'm writing this review.
I cancelled my one year commitment on May 26 . As of today July 17 they are still charging my account , came in wanted to speak to a manager and he's on a conference call, operations manager is busy I was told and the young lady at the front desk said I could wait or comeback another day. Seriously Golds gym??
it takes 7 weeks to cancel my membership??
I had a family plan with 5 people and apparently they only cancelled mine . Please if you ever cancel your membership make sure you get their confirmation email and paperwork as well to avoid this company from taking your money.

Great location overall! Prefer it over all the other Gold Gym's in Dallas because of the space layout. Although staff changes often, they are always the friendliest team members and always willing to help with any situation.

Had a bad experience with this Gold's Gym. Just moved in from out of town and hadn't switched over to a Texas DL yet. Showed the front desk guy my apartment lease contract (bigger guy). He was extremely rude and made snarky remarks. If you're going to have a customer service job treat prospect customers with respect. The sales rep was really pushy and nasty. On the way out he was like oh yeah since you're not local residents you can't come back to use your 3 day membership since you're not local residents. Overall nice facility but the staff is below par. I would recommend going somewhere else.

****Update***** They have updated their music not totally in love with it but it's a good mix of everything. Best of all they stopped playing shape of you. Thank you golds gym management!!

To add to Jocelyn's review, we were told we would have 3 day VIP access when entering the Gym by Robert Monk.

Upon exiting he stated that since we weren't "residents" in the area we could not return for the following 2 days of our trial?

Also, I was completely unaware about how to locate the trial until entering the lobby to which the aforementioned "big, snarky dude" with short blonde hair and glasses of about middle ago.

He said to me specifically "this is why you sign up before coming in"

The above was impossible as I had no awareness prior to entering the gym?

Rehire your front desk attendants and perhaps I will reconsider your nice facilities.
