Nice gym, good and adequate amenities. There is plenty of disinfectant spray but not enough paper towel dispensers. Hand sanitizer is frequently out and bathroom soap is frequently out. Neither patron nor staff keep the weights put up.
Be aware! They won't explain many things to you, they just want to make money out of you. What ever you do. DO NOT GET A PERSONAL TRAINER. It doesn't matter if you can make it to the appointed, they said the trainer would send me a nutrition plan, the exercise and everything, but guess what, he didn't but they will charge me that week anyway. I couldn't go that day, but he never called me or moved those days to the next week. Horrible service.
To make it worse....They NEVER told me I would have a contract, and now they want me to pay that for 6 months!!!!!
This is the WORST GYM to be a part of! After my sons cancer diagnosis, I tried making several attempts to cancel my membership. I explained that I was not able to go to the gym to cancel due to in patient hospital stays. They said that my sons diagnosis was not a medical reason to cancel because it was not MY Diagnosis. The only way to be released from my membership was if a relocation happened. Since then I have submitted my cancellation as we have moved away for further treatment. I continue to get charged. I contacted Lori Garcia the manager at the Ware Location to discuss the continued charges and she was rude and kept over talking me. She said they are a company that follows policies regardless of the situation! The lack of empathy and need for greed is a TRU depiction of this companies ethics, values and morals! NEVER will I join this gym and I will make it a point that they lack sensitivity and will give you the HARDEST TIME cancelling... EVEN if your child is diagnosed with CANCER!
generally love this location but i go specifically for the women's section and today there was a male trainer in there. I get that he was a trainer and needed to be with his client, but i thought under no circumstances were men allowed. a lot of the gym was empty, don't know why they couldn't work out throughout the rest of the gym. working out around men makes me super uncomfortable so im sad they allow this.

It's usually crowded from 5 to 7 pm. But it's a big place. You can still find machines available to conduct your routine with no problems

Second floor always seems to have one of the paper towel dispenser empty. Elevator stinks. I get it's a gym, but an automatic air freshener can go a long way.

They really need to do some detail maintenance here.. Air up stability balls, fix broken cardio machine screens, SPRAY DEODORIZER throughout gym and rooms..steam clean carpet of penetrated sweat odors... there is no reason gyms have to smell bad..Staff needs to Clean equipment, clean bathrooms thoroughly.. need to always have fans turned on when gym is Full.. To circulate air and prevent bad odor. On a positive note large workout area, good equipment, more light weight handweights ranging from 5-20lbs for Women's area are needed.. more new mats.. mats need to be cleaned with antibacterial clorox wipes... the elevator always smells disgusting. Women's room upstairs smells musty and wet as ceiling has leaked before. Cardio room is super humid on 2nd floor as no tint has been put on Windows. Gym is always dirty and dusty.
The gym at Ridge is spotless and women's bathrooms always smells clean ! only issue at Ridge road is they don't habe the air condition cracked up in women's room downstairs nor do they have Bosu balls available for use :( or the side to side treadmills like at Ware rd.. Ridge I would say is the best at cleanliness and doesn't smell bad like Ware Rd elevator and Sharyland gym..

This gym has the worst customer service I have ever seen. They charged my wife even though she had decided not to get the membership! She was filling out the paperwork, and her friend calls her to stop her from enrolling. Turns out that she had a bad experience with them...big surprise ...so my wife tells them that she doesn't want to sign the contract after all. Problem is, she had already provided her card number. She asks for the paperwork since her sensitive information was there, and they say that they needed the contract for their records. They only reason they kept is was to charge her card fraudulently. Pieces of TRASH! THE ONLY reason we got our money back is because I called the cops and threatened to file charges for credit fraud. My baby is smart, so she took a picture of the contract with no signature. They even tried to say that she did sign it, but they couldn't produce the imaginary signed copy. They should be sterilized, because deuche-baggery of such epic proportions must be stopped from reproducing. People like this have their fingers severed in certain cultures.

I honestly had very high expectations for this location and hoped to be able to go to this one more often since it is very close to where I live. NOPE!!! It's always dirty, a lot of the times, the hand sanitizer AND the paper towel machine is empty. I have seen several guys NOT wash their hands when going to the restroom and then they go grab equipment, (yes, this isn't the gym's fault but still disgusting. I have never seen this happen soooo often at other gyms), worst of all machines always seem to be broken.
It is very convenient and it has a variety of different equipment & great machines for you to try it spacious I absolutely love it here
all tru fits are good, depends on your goals. this one very aerobic oriented
I loved the gym at first, but the showers run out of warm water sometimes and leave only lukewarm water or even cold water. Another thing is the policy change and now they lock up the exercise balls where once they were available to all to use on the third floor. Manager is unavailable so I am left getting information from the receptionist, or one of the trainers and the policy seems to change daily. Too bad because I was very satisfied with the rest of the facility, the locker rooms are nice and the machines are plentiful.
Totally disappointing! Finally had an opportunity to blow off some steam and have some much needed "solo" mommy time on the treadmill; while planning to catch up on some Enews. And SURPRISE! Dang tv's don't even work. I initially told my husband not to sign us up at this gym in the first place, because it looked dingy/dirty and I was right. Can't wait to NOT renew my membership and head back to Golds gym...where professionals go!
I am not one to leave bad reviews but this gym has several issues that have not been acknowledged. The ceiling has been leaking since probably 6 months after this location opened up. Actually, about 3 months back parts of the ceiling fell down from the third floor all the way to the first floor which was extremely dangerous. The cardio machines will randomly stop working because they need to be reprogrammed. Also, the TV's on the cardio machines have not been working for over 6 months now. The paper towel dispensers have been empty for up to 4 hours leaving their members without paper towels to clean the machines they have been using. I would definitely avoid this Trufit location if possible.
Started off as a great place, semi-upscale.. but.. it has slowly gone down in quality.. restrooms are dirty, showers are broken most of the time.. the lockers.., more than half have the locking mechanisms broken..
This is a great gym the equipment is good and the machines are available. There is 3 floor's the middle has most of the machines and free weights, the top has a trainer room and cardio, ab room. The staff are very friendly and there are restrooms on ever floor. There is a elevator system for disabled customers the environment is nice and friendly.
I'm a member and it is a great gym. I joined for the daycare and the ladies in the daycare are serious but great. I go in the morning because around 7pm it is so congested. Oh and great spinning class!
Was looking at gyms in my area and was unfortunately tied down to trufit. "Enrolled" in their 3 day pass to find out they just enrolled me for a membership and if I wanted to cancel in the 3 days it was a 20$ fee. Absolutely backhanded and sneaky. Was very upset but remembered that this gym was one of my top choices. aside from the crappy way they have staffers treat new or interested customers, very nice gym.
