DO NOT SIGN UP HERE! It is a complete RIP off! My 2 daughters and I were members at the Lewisville location, when they went off to the military I had to jump through hoops to cancel their membership. Then when I canceled, they continued to charge me. When I finally stopped payment they sent me to collection saying I owed then $228!! $10 a month turned into $228? They are fine until you need to move on. It isn't worth it. Find another gym. I've been a member of many and this one was completely crazy with cancellation and overcharging fees you don't realize was in the fine print. Save yourself the mess they're put us through. Don't. Do.it!
This gym is nice, but I cancelled my membership in favor of a home gym. I sent in a cancellation for my gym membership on January 6, 2020. I followed all instructions and used certified mail as required. I was able to confirm over the phone with someone at the Webster, TX corporate office that my cancellation had been received. Now, almost two months later, I am still being billed. I have disputed the charge with my bank. The gym is nice, but if I had known that cancelling would be such an ordeal, I would have paid more for a different gym.
Great place, clean and great customer service
I am moving from this area. The staff informed me I needed to send a written request to cancel my membership. 30 day written notice. Also suggesting to send it certified. After receiving notice my letter was received I called to check (about 2 weeks). They had not received it yet although the lady updated my account with the tracking number. I called back 1 week later to be informed they had received it and it was now a 60 day notice. Wow. I would have loved to have this information initially. I understand it's on $10 a month but honestly - they could have told me this at the beginning of the process. Poor business practice.
Terrible customer service! An employee added my card I was using to buy a protein bar onto my account, which I didn't want. I didn't think much of it because it was coming out of my bank account anyway. When my card got shut off and they sent out a new one, I was told I had to pay them $108 for late fees. WHAT?? Your employee put my card on my account when I didn't ask him to do that. They wouldn't help me at all, and after speaking to 2 people at their Dallas office, realized that they don't care about their members at all. The supervisor I talked to at the Dallas office told me there was no one in the company above her. They don't care to take care of their members, and won't put you in touch with someone who may be able to actually help. I'm going to enjoy my new gym!

I registered for their five day free pass and was going to go with my cousin who already has a membership. I got a call at 8pm from a very nice representative who asked me when I wanted to come in and he said he would show me around. I told him 8:30. To be frank, I just needed somewhere to workout for the week and had no intention of signing up. However, I wasn't going to stop him from doing his job. I get there at 8:20, email with the pass in hand and he tells me that guest hours are only from 8am-8pm. He knew when I was coming and didn't tell me this over the phone, which was definitely no mistake. He then went on to tell me about monthly plans and tried to sell me on stuff. Later we found out online that guest hours are from 8am-10pm. That was my experience and reading these other reviews I see other people had similar ones. It's a shame, you can sell without lying and scheming. If this is a representation of their gym community, I would not advise joining. There are plenty of other gyms in the area who don't pull the slimy shenanigans. I miss Lewisville's World Gym, RIP.

I would give this place a zero. They promised to take $10 out to reserve a deal while I compared gyms. They said all I had to do is call in to cancel with in 72 hours and I would get refunded. I called within the first 24 hour to cancel I was assured that my account was canceled. A week later I noticed on my account $47 got taken out from them. I called and they said I had to send in a letter to cancel. This was never said upon signing agreeing to only the $10. So I did this and then now they they are taking $87 out of my account. Now they tell me that it will be 30 days until my account can get cancelled. This is white collar theft. They are liars and cheats. Not to mention 24 hour and Lifetime gym is better. Dont believe their lies or you will end up in the position I am in.
My son was here on vacation and a friend who has a membership offer the "7 day guest pass" worse experience ever. They kept changing the rules everyday . I understand that guest pass is a selling strategy and they need to sell memberships but if you are not able to honor what you promise then don't even offer it.

Lewisville is where I received my worst customer service experience with MANAGER "YARIS," "JARIS." I was told I couldn't bring my guest which has a 7 day pass bc he had already visited the location on Friday... Today is Sunday... where did the 7 days go?? He was not logged into the system by YOUR EMPLOYEE's which this is my fault?? It's cool, I'll never return...how I handle lies and rude unprofessional individuals that Fitness Connection decides to represent.

Nice gym but it's really difficult and complicated to cancel membership. They pressure you into getting one of there expensive trainers. I signed up for the gym and told them that I was going to be moving in six months for school and they assured me that it would be no problem at all to cancel, then whenever the time to cancel came they said I had to write a letter and sent it somewhere, then even after I sent the letter, I was still getting money taken out of my bank account!! I've called them multiple times and they said they would get back to me, but they never did. Do you self a favor and sign up somewhere because they are just after your money! Definelty discouraged me from ever joining any gym again.
Very nice gym. Lots of equipment and not very crowded. Plenty of parking, and a well lite parking lot.
I hate this gym with a passion. They lie about my contract ending date and the district manager ( Mike) DENIES me a copy of my contract. They are charging me $30 a month when it's suppose to be $10 plus I don't know how many fees on top of that and they want to charge me a huge fee for cancelling when my contract should already be over. They are so shady for saying they can't see my contract or make a copy but they still charge me like $98 this month.

i went in to cancel my membership on march 7, 2018. i go in in person and get it done and all the paperwork supposedly was done and i would owe 2 months additional months and it will be done. as per the manager corrie (hard to read his signiture). then given the "receipt".
fast forward to may 2 when i see another charge. in checking my bank account i find that they charged me a "yearly dues" of 43.25.
i call the location in lewisville where my membership is/was. now i am put on hold for a total of 45 minutes by a fella named shay and told that the manager was at corporate all day and would call me back the next morning between 8 and 9. at 9:10 i called and was put on hold for 15 min. the "manager" then got on the line and said they were on a corporate confrence call. he would call back in an hour. the fella sounded like shay that i talked to the day before. at 11:30 i called back and another got on the line to help. when i told him about the runaround i was getting he was condecending and patronizing telling me to calm down or he would hang up. so i got off the line and called the corporate office. in 5 minutes i was asked to email the paper i got in march stating it was done and they would take care of it and refund about 64.00.
i must say that this was one of the biggest runarounds i have gotten. the fellas that said they would "help" were mostly rude and condicending in attitude.

The gym is nice and staff is friendly, Love that they have a womens only area... I have yet to try to leave and see if it is easy to leave this gym, for what I read it is not.
I DO NOT recommend this Gym if you have young kids and want to use a gym with childcare. The staff seems to have zero training in the area of childcare. ZERO! They are nice ladies but zero experience for the looks of it. They just stand there talking to each other, or on their phones, no interaction with the kids. It is disorganize, just a bunch of kids running around wild. Im pretty sure that at times they go over the ratio of child per adult that is allowed by state laws.
I love this gym. Always clean, great classes. Great selection of equipment.
Absolutely horrible. This company will rake you over the coals for trying to leave them, insist you come in person to cancel, no matter how far away you live (move to Canada? That sucks! Hope you remember to cancel before you go!), make you pay for months YOU AREN'T GOING TO BE AT THE GYM just to cancel, and then send your "debt" to a collection agency even after you have literally already paid everything you owe them TWICE OVER just to squeeze more money out of you.
This is by far the shadiest business I have ever had associated with my name, and I wish very much that I had known before I signed up.

I highly recommend anybody to not to join any fittness connection they make it almost impossible to cancel your membership then when you send in there large check list of everything they want in it thru say they never got it (keep billing you)send it certified mail so you can track it like I got time for all that. Oh please keep in mind you cant get into the gym to cancel your membership you have to send it to Webster tx
I attend spin class on Thursdays and Im sorry i dont know the instructor's name but she is the most amazing spin teacher!! Her energy and service are above the best!! I tell EVERYONE to attend her class. Not only does she pump the class up but she is very friendly and I find my self laughing in class from her energy!!
The staff is awesome! A friendly environment. No one bothers me while I workout. $10/mo, so definitely affordable.

Common this is 2017 where everything is fast and easily accessible. Why in the world do I have to physically go to usps and mail a letter to cancel my membership. Why!!!! You never asked me to mail a letter to join. You never told me I'd have to do this when I've to cancel. This is just FRAUD. I'm moving to a place where there's no fitness connection and now I've to send 2 freaking bloody letters to cancel my membership and my personal training sessions. I'm just so angry right now. I will never have the time to go to the post office.
This gym is awesome! For $10 a month, I go in at different times of the day and never have to wait for equipment like I did at other gyms. Friendly people, great equipment, high quantities of machines, and low price.
I love this gym, it is very close to the house and they charge $10 a month per person.
This gym is alright, but I honestly preferred it before the transfer. There were fewer muscle-heads and gym bunnies there, and it was a lot more friendly and non-judgmental.
But what really gets me is that I moved an hour away, AND THEY WON'T LET ME CANCEL WITHOUT DRIVING A TWO HOUR ROUND TRIP!!!!!!!!!! What the hell?! Just because I didn't think of it before I moved, now I have to waste two hours worth of gas to drive up there and cancel! It is absolutely absurd. They won't let me cancel online or by phone. This is a policy that is absolutely ridiculous.
I'm not a big fan of this gym. I started working out here when it was still a World Gym. After fitness connect bought them out they renovated the place and painted the walls. Seemed nice at first but it changed the atmosphere completely. The equipment is new but cheap. There is a lot more socializing here than working out which isn't the type gym I want to be a member of.
