I wish I could say my experience here was better. With so many gyms in the vicinity, why choose one that is lackluster? Here are my problems.

1. The staff, especially those teaching the younger kids, do not have the energy required to keep the young kids engaged. Most importantly, they lack the knowledge to teach using more than one style and do not have the patience to rope the kids back in when they are bored. Rather, than working thru these issues, the students are asked to sit aside while they finish their class. As a paying customer, this is not what I expect.

2. The front desk staff is very rude. Asking question and signing my kids up felt like a bother.

3. The facility as a whole is a bit dingy/dirty.

I gave this place 2 stars vs one because there are one or two staff members who are just awesome.

David has an awesone rapport with the teens. He knows how to gently push them to do what they are capable of but afraid to do. My daughter just loves class even better than UC CHEER where she is required to go for her cheer squad. I wish her whole squad would come here. We switched from another gym and drive 30 minites to get here twice a week. Love this place!

The new owners don't really seem to care much about progression in the kids.

There's a gym right across the street that offers open gym for anyone.

Acrofit offers an "open gym" but it's really just an extended class only for members, and it's nearly quadruple the price of the other gym.

If they had any sense, they'd open their doors for all athletes, not just the ones they think are ideal.

Such a great facility going to waste because of ego.

Especially when they canceled a children's Tricking Class because a certain coach got self conscious that his coaching techniques might not be what works best for kids.

Not everyone aspires to be a world class gymnast, and it's so sad to see a gym turn away kids just because they want to be acrobatic in other ways.

shame
