Really great studio! Supportive environment and instructor/owner with relaxation and decompression in mind. Will definitely be back.
I had a class with Amanda and ekta and it was amazing! I came out feeling like a whole new person! Highly recommend going here!
Amanda and her amazing team of instructors will welcome you from moment one as you walk in the door. No matter what your experience level in yoga is (even none!) they will ensure in the beginning classes you not only leave relaxed but having flown!
The advanced classes are everything you could ask for - challenging, supportive, and done in a style that is both joyous and affirming. The spirit of what a yoga studio should be is embodied at Republic.
EDIT 9/23/19: New location, same great atmosphere and awesome teachers/students population. Newly re-branded studio name and higher quality focus on Aerial Yoga, including Beginner and Experienced classes every weeknights, and opportunity to play with Aerial Silk during Open Gym session on Sunday (Currently an exclusive Member perks). I will say it again and again, if you're looking for a home studio, look no further than this place. This place is full of friendly, lovely souls welcoming you with open arms to practice in any of the classes offered.

My new home away from home. Met so many new cool ppl here, and love the atmosphere and all of the teachers. Excited about the new location!
It doesn't get better than Republic Yoga Houston!
The teachers are knowledgeable, the space is inviting, and the community is genial. Republic Yoga Houston offers an amazing environment to grow in your practice, whether you're a beginner or a seasoned yogi.
They've created a communal space that allows you to make every practice your own; where you can learn to trust and listen to your body without competition or judgement.
Was recommended this studio by a friend and I'm so glad she did. All the teachers are fantastic and make me very comfortable as a beginner to yoga. Started ariel yoga here too and I love it so much!!
I absolutely love Republic. I tried the 4 weeks for $40 deal and fell in love. Everyone is so friendly, the space has a great feel, and all of the instructors care about you and want to help you grow.
I found my new yoga home in Republic Yoga. Great vibes, great space, great teachers. I found this location from folks who rave about Amanda and the studio. After meeting her and taking a class I totally get it. She is extremely welcoming and knowledgeable. She is really living yoga and sharing that in her classes with her students. I love the mixed level classes where you get to really break down different poses and why you are doing them and try new things. Whether you are beginner or intermediate she makes it accessible. I have taken a class with Alaina and Lauren who were both great as well. For these teachers, yoga is about the health benefits not only on the mat but off. The adjustments and hands on assists in the restorative class were amazing. And I love the best yoga blocks triangle. Since I am only a couple weeks in I plan on trying the Acroyoga and Aerial classes as well. I always look forward to being able to practice in this space. I highly recommend this studio. Go check it out for yourself!!

I have known Amanda Field as a yoga instructor for close to ten years, and she has great knowledge of what it takes to make good yoga practitioners. This is not cookie cutter yoga, this is real, get your body in shape and learn how to really practice yoga! I am happy to hear that Republic Yoga is growing into new space. If you want to get motivated for your own-self, visit.

Ok, this yoga studio made me feel so uncomfortable. I read all the reviews, so I went to try it but couldn't even find it because it's on this sketchy alleyway with no big signs and no parking. So shady! Then I was late . It's so small and there's no clear front desk so I had no idea what to do. Everyone (like 6 people) knew each other so I felt awkward especially because I was late. Then the class was SO boring! It was unheated, super slow, and I left feeling like I hadn't gotten a workout at all. Waste of time.
Today was my first yoga class in 13 years. It was amazing! The atmosphere, education, and connection. It was an intimate setting and I will be back soon!
Quaint small studio can fit five or ten people. Definitely is that small space vibe if you are looking for a more relaxing environment. Skylights and sometimes practice with the doors open for some fresh air.
Mat pilates with Ernesto on Tuesday and Thursday mornings! He's a wonderful inspirational teacher!
It's tucked away off the beaten path a little but plenty of parking spaces. Aerial yoga is getting harder to find in Houston but they have it at Republic!
Started coming here a few weeks ago through the new student month special and I've got to say, it's well worth the money. There are lots of different classes and styles of yoga to choose from; whether it's on your mat, in the air or with a partner. I've done a different style of yoga for the entire length of time I've been practicing, it's nice to find a place so close to me where I can expand on my practice and learn more skills. The classes are relatively small which creates an intimate atmosphere and everyone seems to interact as friends there. Last night these two girls practiced together and it seemed like they knew each other, they ended the class by introducing themselves to each other lol! Love the vibe, the teachers and the cost. Highly recommend!

This studio is so dope! I've taken 3 classes here so far and I love it because it's really a healing focused studio. I'm not a fan of the traditional style flow that you can get in Houston. If you like to take time to feel into your poses, are a beginner, or suffer from injuries or pain, this is the studio for you. Amanda is really attentive, and knowlegeable. I've taken her gentle flow, and aerial beginnings class. If you're lucky you'll get to work with a partner in your aerial class for help in release poses. I also took Laurens Sunday class at 12. She was amazing! I took the whole class with my eyes closed! She was so descriptive that my body just moved on cue! I highly reccomend this studio!
Every class and every instructor I've taken a class from is amazing. They listen to your needs; they encourage you to listen to your body and work from where you are; and they are all warm and fun-loving. It's a wonderful community to be a part of!
This is an excellent studio for both beginners and more experience practitioners. Amanda Field is a great instructor and she is very knowledgeable and accommodating. She is very approachable, helpful and has a wonderful personality and attitude. The studio has a great atmosphere and a very positive energy. All the other instructors on the schedule are also fabulous. The studio offers great specials for new students, so take advantage of their generosity and come give it a try!
I dropped into this studio for a restorative yoga session on my lunch break as a "one time class" 4 months ago and I have been back everyday at lunch ever since. Amanda is an amazingly knowledgeable teacher that makes yoga practice achievable and engaging for all levels. I have tried other studios in the past and this one is by far the most welcoming, inclusive and approachable for beginners.
Republic yoga has become an essential part of my self care routine and one of the favorite parts of my day.
Easily accessible to downtown with a NON HEATED gentle yoga flow at lunch that is a perfect 50 minute break for working professionals. Try it, you won't regret it.
This place is great. The staff / teachers are extremely committed to helping improve my practice and to challenge me at any level. This is coming from someone who was reluctant to try yoga but after several years of tight leg problems from running I thought I would give it a go. I'm glad I did because it's not only improved my running but also improved my strength, flexibility, balance and overall state of mind. I'm now a big fan!!
I love going to Amanda Field's studio, Republic Yoga....it's bright and welcoming with beautiful skylights and a comfortable temperature. Amanda is incredibly knowledgeable with a diverse background in several styles of yoga. She takes the time to explain the mechanics behind poses and teaches to all levels. You get individual attention here that you won't get at a bigger studio. I'm happy to find this gem!
Took my first yoga class with Amanda. She was really great. Easy instructor to talk with and follow in class. Will definitively return.
One of the best yoga instructors in Houston. Great classes for beginners and advanced students alike.
I spend every weekday night at Republic Yoga. The classes are a perfect balance of exercise and relaxation, and Amanda makes sure that all feel welcomed into her community. One leaves her space with a stronger sense of peace, confidence, and connectedness. All levels are instructed in her classes so that beginners can feel comfortable while more advance practictioners are still challenged. I went to Republic Yoga for the first time on a whim after a quick google search, and ended up going almost every day after for three months. It feels amazing to have a consistent practice, even after long days at work, which is only possible because of the unheated space and safe instructions. This studio is an excellent local alternative to Big Yoga, and is very affordable with a monthly membership. Join us!
I love Republic Yoga Houston!
I have been attending RYH for the past month now. I begin with the Gentle Yoga class since my last practice was over 2 years ago. My body thanks me each day I practice Yoga. I appreciate and value the way Amanda teaches us to practice. She is very helpful and super encouraging. She is the real deal!
