Great atmosphere. Eclectic and diverse crowd. Stark contrast with the Houston City Club; dominated by dinosaur tea party type characters. Great tennis facilities and experienced coaches for game improvement. Good fitness equipment.
Very nice facility. Staff is very friendly. Kyle is a phenomenal employee.
Love the Met. They make an effort to plan out great activities for kids, like monkey bingo. The fitness equipment is always in top condition and the womens locker room is spotless. Parking can be a problem depending on what time you come in. Overall, this is a great gym in downtown Houston.
Be careful if you join. They have some good instructors, but the class schedules are unpredictable. From time to time, there are some issues with the locker room. They raise dues without notice and make it very difficult to resign, including having to fill out the paperwork in person in front of staff. They also impose a notice period that is not in the paperwork.
One of the nicest gyms in HTX. Looking forward you seeing it after the renovations!
Great classes, great trainers, great equipment and amenities. Never crowded.
Neat, Clean, Professional. Plenty of showers, Squash court, Racket ball court. If you are going to park in the deck, keep parking ticket with you and get it stamped/scanned by front desk so you are not charged. Nice seating area to watch squash games, has complimentary coffee/Tea.
My favorite Saturday mornings are here - spinning class and tennis with hubby

I have been a member for over a decade and the staff has always been friendly. I love the new renovations, workout ( Go Jetta) and especially Pilates reformer ( Go Stacy D.) Food is good. I use it for work and personal.

I agree, customer service is less than average specifically at the Met. The Center has really awesome staff. This month, my bill was incorrect AGAIN. I've had to have several items corrected on my monthly statement and my inital contract to join was incorrect as well becuase there was a change in marketing staff. Not very satisfied to say the least.
Under construction right now but will look great
The place is OK but a renovation could go a long way. Luckily they are finally renovating and hopefully the result will be better. Guests of members are not made to fell welcome by the front desk staff. Parking is free for up to two hours and quite expensive thereafter.
Super convenient to downtown locations. Excellent tennis facilities and good players. Remodeling ongoing, as of this date. Excellent service. Good restaurant.
Me and my children love going and look forward to working out, having dinner at the MET Club Downtown and delicious beverage. From my experience I have seen the staff treat and try to cater to all of their member's needs. Including the kids, they kids club my 10 year old daughter loves to go to and my 11 year old son loves working out at the facility more than I Do.
I've had many gym memberships since I've moved to Houston and this club is one of the best hidden secrets. Weekends are wonderful, after work at 6 might be full but always a machine or weights available. Don't tell anyone... it's our secret
The MET is almost done with the renovation they started last year. It is reaaly looking great.
The MET has several tennis and quash courts, a basketball court, a multipurpose hall with standing bags as well as rooms where you can do yoga, spin, or row. The MET also has a lot of different fitness equipment/machines. The new locker rooms and showers will have a steam room and a sauna.
To top it off, the MEY has a nice good sized lounge with friendly staff.
Love this club. Staff is great, place is clean and well stocked. Can't wait til remodel is complete.
Men's locker room is below the standards of a club like this. It should be better when the finish construction.
