I've trained at this facility for 2 and a half years now. I couldn't think of a better facility or coaches for my jiu jitsu training. What really sets this gym aside is the heart both the world champion coaches have as the owners. The owners are there everyday making sure the facility is clean, and the programs are insightful, the clients are happy, and healthy. The coaches truly devote their lives to Jiu Jitsu and Wrestling. They travel to CA and across the world for tournaments even when they don't compete to coach their students. Training jiu jitsu here has changed my life for the better. I wouldn't trade anything in the world for this gym and this amazing team. if you're looking to sharpen your technical skills or learn self defense or even just to hang out with some friends this is the place to be. They have crazy amazing BJJ heros home through and do seminars at this place as well as have world reknown coaches. This is my BJJ family until I die.

The Paradigm community focuses on developing its members from the ground up to have excellent conditioning, powerful mindset, and personal development through martial arts training.

The gym is a training ground for all - from those who train as a hobby to those who want to compete at the highest levels internationally or professionally. It develops strong self esteem and world champions.

Paradigm creates winners.

The instructors are top of the food chain. Head Wrestling Coach Steven Woods (Olympic Wrestler) provides great help and support to the team.
I first heard of Paradigm because the coach at my son's school suggested he train there for the summer.
I'm so happy he referred me. This is the second summer and we will continue to come here every chance we get. Thank you Coach Woods and thank you to all your other wrestling staff.
Thank you to Christine, absolutely the hardest working person in the entire organization (including Paradigm Training Center and Paradigm Wrestling Club)

There are too many good schools in Houston to waste your time here.

Top notch jiu jitsu team, great training partners and a cool vibe - highly recommended for the serious competitor or anyone new to the sport.

My experience was a bit lousy honestly and turned me off to the whole gym in itself. I'm coming from another gym that's a bit bigger and I thought this place seemed up to par to what I'm used to. I just wanted something smaller.
I called and wanted to get general information about the gym, mostly interested in their rates, spoke to a girl named Kami, who just about did everything she could to sway the topic away from their rates, from what I was asking, which made me feel as if she thought I was stupid. I asked to speak to someone above her, she swayed the conversation again, then she said she would email me information about the rates, and about 30 minutes later sent me something to set up an appointment to go see the gym, which honestly I wasn't worried about the facility, I've seen pictures, I was pretty much ready to sign the papers, just wanted to know how much a month. So I called back because she made it sound like she was sending me information on their rates.. which she didn't..
Anyways, I'm coming from a gym that's $200 a month which is pretty average and I figured if it was around the same price THEN I'd check out the facility.
I'm really busy and wanted information over the phone before I waste 2/3 hours out of one of my days to go see their mats and bathrooms. Definitely didn't appreciate her out right avoiding the question. It was off putting.
So yeah, pretty lousy.

Paradigm Training Center is a classy facility. I have no complaints about the equipment or facility. That said, the terms of the contract don't include an option for customers who area leaving the area. While I can appreciate certain business aspects of how the contract is terms, I would think that moving out of the county for work would be cause for a release from the contract. When I initially signed the contract to train at the facility, I had no idea that eight months later a job opportunity would have me moving. Most other places that I've trained at have life-changing event exceptions. Paradigm does not. Because of this, I would not recommend this facility.

Paradigm has the best coaches anywhere. They have a great facility. The instructors are fine men with great integrity. We train all of our kids there, and all of our folks at Presbyterian School could not be more pleased. This place is first class. We love Paradigm!

Once your kids get used to an instructor, such as the 2 Olympians and All American they had for nearly 2 years... They get rid of them like yesterday's newspaper. I was warned about this prior to joining. Now I am very sorry. In one year I never saw an owner come to any youth wrestling tournament. My son competed in a local expert NAGA and his Bjj instructor never showed for the kids tournament... Only his adults later in the day. Thank God his wrestling coach helped out, but he was let go. I have seen much better BJJ. Alliance for one... Just YouTube search GFT v Alliance. The youth BJJ at Paradigm has been been below average and can not compete at high levels. Simply check the local tournaments.... Either they don't compete or can't compete at a high level consistently. The youth BJJ is a very small group and has not been able to get top kids or even average kids on any regular basis. Battle for the Ages tournament, an invite only prestigious tournament, was not even attended by my son's bjj instructor. Only the wrestling coach cared enough to go. Then the owners make comments when you leave... Like... We are all glad you are gone. I kept a snapshot of that to remind me.... THERE ARE FAR BETTER PLACES TO TRAIN. I FEEL I WASTED TIME AND MONEY AT PARADIGM!!
