I finally made it to a class led by Nick Zogg (he worked the tech desk at my Level One program) when I got invited to an HPE event in Houston. I jumped at the opportunity for multiple reasons, one of which was that I could take a class at Big Power Yoga Houston (the Memorial location). So goooood!! Lots of parking, good restaurants next to the yoga studio. Totally worth the cost of the Uber trip to get there and back!

The instruction was average. The class was short. They lead you to believe they are In Baptiste fold. My room was regulated at 97. Baptiste is practiced at 90 minutes at 90 degrees. Most classes are 60minutes. Students leave during savasana. Yoga fail . Baptiste Fail.

Love! Big Power yoga my new favorite yoga studio. They offer kids yoga at the same time as adult yoga, no need for a sitter. The cold towel offered after a session is a lovely addition. shower rooms are so pretty too. Lots of Love throughout the facility. Instructors are friendly.

I had a wonderful experience bringing my little sister to the Family Yoga class. Amorette was such a fun, loving, cool teacher! The kids & grownups all got a good workout & had fun playing together. And for $5 for the whole family, this is a really great service being offered to the community. Thank you BIG & Amorette!
I've been going to big (both locations) for about 2 years. Where it really came into its own for me was during my pregnancy. All of the instructors and students were incredibly helpful and supportive, from offering modification suggestions to checking in with me to see how I was doing and offering encouragement. There's no sense of competition here or any feeling of judgement, it's all about working where you are at the time. I seriously credit the devotional classes with Margaret and Sarah as the reason I stayed so calm through my pregnancy, and I'll definitely be bringing my son to the kids classes when he's old enough!
