Most of the time I go there it is very busy due to training reservations...Very disappointed... not managed well... I was a member from the beginning , it used to be much better before.... planning to quit soon... I feel it is not worth the money we are paying for this service.

VERY BUSY..
This place has about 12 courts.. for badminton and 1 for table tennis. 7 courts are wood and 4 has those green mats... if I am not wrong. The table tennis court is sometimes converted to use badminton too.. Also sometimes the same courts are set up for pickle ball..but in the afternoons on the weekdays so it doesn't interfere with badminton practice. Its usually very busy in the evenings. best time to play if you have a group or something is from 4PM till 6 PM or after 8:30 PM.

You can play 3 games of 2 sets each in 2.5 hours or so between 6 and 8:30 if you are lucky. keep in mind that if you don't have the same skill level like others, it gets very frustrating for all the time you have spent. Nobody can help you with that anyways.

They can reserve courts for you @10$ an hour which is not bad. make sure you make the reservations early enough.
They sell rackets and can restring them for you. they sell different non alcoholic drinks too. restrooms are okay. they have lockers too. They have a little gym upstairs for you to warm up.

At least 3 courts are occupied for kids training almost everyday at least till 7:30 PM or even more sometimes. So, with 3 gone and at least 3 others reserved, there are too many people for the rest of the 6 courts. The point is Houston needs more courts and you have to be patient for your turn.

Parking can be full and so they arranged for parking next door when this lot gets full. The parking spaces are very narrow though. Please don't drive your huge SUV's here. Don't forget to take your ID card for entry. Don't forget it there after hanging in there. if you want to recollect it, you can either by a drink or pay a dollar to get it back which is a good way to increase your memory power.. : ) re issuing a lost ID is 5$ i guess. staff is cool.

Great place to get your badminton game on. Plenty of skill levels available for you to play with.

I absolutely loved Houston Badminton Center. I wish I still lived in Houston so I could keep playing here. Very clean courts and the management and staff are very nice and even teach you how to play. Tuyen (the owner) is SUCH a nice person.

It was frustrating sometimes when I couldn't find any courts to play one because of how much everyone loves HBC and how full it is at ALL peak times. I hope HBC has a lot of success is able to expand to massive sizes so that anyone can play whenever they would like to.

I recently started playing at Plano Badminton Center because I moved to Dallas and let me just tell you...it is NOTHING compared to HBC. Keep it up HBC :)

First time to be there today. Not expect would come in and play right away since the weekend. Players are well mannered and organized which make a difference. Rate is reasonable. Would recommend anyone interested in badminton coming in and play.

Too Crowded, they should offer better sign in and play time than play two games and wait for an hour for next turn . Poor lighting too.

Per my knowledge the only place to play badminton in Houston. Ample courts, 12, I guess.

Amazing! 12 courts!!! This has got to be the largest badminton dedicated facility in the state of Texas! Truly is Texas size! The lighting is great. The hollow wooden floor and padding are perfect for your knees so you can do all the jumping smash you want and won't leave you with busted knees. AC feels great, not disrupting. People/players and staff are friendly. As long as you follow their rules by putting your name cards up then you will get your turns. Lots of people though but I guess that's always a good sign for a business.

All in all, I am extremely impressed. As an Asian, this truly feels like home! Good job!

Tons of fun and great exercise. They have 12 courts to play 2v2 or 4v4 usually busy around 6 to 8 pm were you might have to take turns but it really slows down after 8. One month of membership is $55 you can also get 1 day pass for $10 and rent racket for $2. I would recommend if you are reading this review and thinking about trying then you must it's worth it

Great place. But just watch your area even if you still have time to play and took a break someone can just came to your area and start playing. Then will be a conflict

Little expensive. But a good facility!

Pretty good to play pickabal and badminton

October 19, 2017 07:03

After a false start at the center, I received immediate assistance from both the Center owner and GM. It shows that the owner and mgmt truly care about player experience regardless of skill or experience level. Unfortunately there is always rude people anywhere but I'm delighted by the level of care from owner Tuyen Van and GM Eric. Let's just play badminton and get sweaty.

Great place to play. Take the monthly membership and play any day, any time you want!

If you play badminton (not the kind you play over the fence with your neighbor as a kid), this is the place to go. A purpose-built badminton facility. Well maintained, clean floors, good lighting and climate control, even has shower facilities and lockers. They also have a small table tennis (ping-pong) area in the corner and a small gym upstairs.

October 19, 2017 07:03

Too many people and too much court reserve during high hours, leading members can not play and have to wait for hours. Not enough space for cards input.
