VERY BUSY..
This place has about 12 courts.. for badminton and 1 for table tennis. 7 courts are wood and 4 has those green mats... if I am not wrong. The table tennis court is sometimes converted to use badminton too.. Also sometimes the same courts are set up for pickle ball..but in the afternoons on the weekdays so it doesn't interfere with badminton practice. Its usually very busy in the evenings. best time to play if you have a group or something is from 4PM till 6 PM or after 8:30 PM.
You can play 3 games of 2 sets each in 2.5 hours or so between 6 and 8:30 if you are lucky. keep in mind that if you don't have the same skill level like others, it gets very frustrating for all the time you have spent. Nobody can help you with that anyways.
They can reserve courts for you @10$ an hour which is not bad. make sure you make the reservations early enough.
They sell rackets and can restring them for you. they sell different non alcoholic drinks too. restrooms are okay. they have lockers too. They have a little gym upstairs for you to warm up.
At least 3 courts are occupied for kids training almost everyday at least till 7:30 PM or even more sometimes. So, with 3 gone and at least 3 others reserved, there are too many people for the rest of the 6 courts. The point is Houston needs more courts and you have to be patient for your turn.
Parking can be full and so they arranged for parking next door when this lot gets full. The parking spaces are very narrow though. Please don't drive your huge SUV's here. Don't forget to take your ID card for entry. Don't forget it there after hanging in there. if you want to recollect it, you can either by a drink or pay a dollar to get it back which is a good way to increase your memory power.. : ) re issuing a lost ID is 5$ i guess. staff is cool.
