Loved the instructors and atmosphere. Great progression with patient teachers.

Customer service is not apart of this facilities core practices. Expect to be treated as a huge burden when asking anything. Salutations of any kind are non existent. Being matched with the right coach can be beneficial for progress. 7 months, 3 coach's and no level progression...

My gifted and talented, 7-yr. old daughter Madison, was enrolled in the 2 week intensive classes on June 5th. After four days, we determined that she only spent an average of 3.0 minutes in the water each class period!!! WTH!!

The trainer spent the entire class period working with newcomers who did not want to be in the water.

She kept running all of the kids headlong into cross traffic (and continuously stopped the class for said cross traffic instead of staying in her own designated area).

The trainer took up to 5 water breaks in 30 minutes (her boss said she should be allowed because she was pregnant)! I have had four children myself...I saw the trainer leave work right after the lesson...WHY NOT GET A DRINK ON YOUR OWN TIME!!!!

On Madison's final day, I pointed out to staff members that my daughter's hair was NOT EVEN wet until 20 minutes after the 30 minute class had started! We went on to clock the actual time my daughter spent in the water...it was under 2.5 minutes!!!!

Now the school won't refund our second week (or even our registration)! They won't return my calls or respond to my writings! I am now forced to contact my lawyer...these guys are crooks!

Don't take your children here if you want them to learn to swim! All they get to do is sit on the side and watch...it's ridiculous!!!! Plus, the greedy bastards steal your money!!!!

ADVOID THIS SCHOOL!

unprofessional coaches, spent time in chatting with each other during lesson time. once u sign a drop off form, u r treated worse than before. even though it is bad enough already that they dont use right way to teach student how to flip in free style. the coach holds my sons head and twisted him to flip over. which is a very dangerous and unprofessional way.

UPDATE:
I have a video showing a dangerous step the coach uses to twist my kid's head when teaching him to flip over. I posted in facebook sea star school page so that they can see what happened.
What I got is that they complained of my negative review and video. (Now I know Facebook is bias and should not be trusted in reviews)
They refused to admit the motion is too rude and dangerous. (Though I have an olympic winner friend who pointed out the potential of hurting a kid's neck by doing so)
I understand business is business. But when I choose a swimming coach, safety and full attention to the kid is more important.

My son joined the intensive swimming class for two weeks. We couldn't take him one day for his class, I called Seastar swimming school and I asked the girl if it's OK to miss and if he's going to get a make up class for that class. The girl was very nice and she told me to call back after the class so she can schedule me for a make up class. When I call back a lady named Kathy answered the phone and told me that there's no make up classes. I was like that's not what the other girl told me when I called earlier. She put me on a five minutes hold and toldme, sir there's no make up classes the girl gave you a wrong information. I told her that's not right and that's not what I was told, she put me another five minutes hold and told me so I'm going to give you a make up class but the girl that gave you the wrong information is getting written up. I'm like that's not right. first of all I don't want anyone to get written up because of me or my son, and it's not right for her to tell a Customer that your employees getting written up, that's giving somebody's personal information to someone else . Then I asked her for her managers name and number she refused to give that to me . That lady was really rude over the phone and she should not be anywhere near to a phone for customer service. I will not send my son back over there for swimming and I'm not recommending anyone to go there .

My daughter and I both take swimming lessons at Sea Star and love it. My daughter also takes gymnastics classes there. The instructors are awesome...very patient and good at what they do. I would highly recommend Sea Star!
