I'm tired of paying monthly for a gym that's never open. Never fails I am sitting here every monday morning waiting for someone to open the door. I always have to drive to Halloran or home. With LA fitness around the corner maybe it's time for a change.
They have a racist staff. I called the phone to register and because they didn't understand me a few words because my English is not perfect, they started laughing at me on the phone. I asked, are you laughing at me? and continued with laughter .. it is very delicate how they treat the client, since the calls are registered and can be denounced for that.
Really appreciate how Joshua, the general manager has worked to improve the cleanliness of the club and in keeping all the old equipment in working order ( as best he can. He also has hired a good team of people.
Would like to see some new cycling bikes, so many of the old ones are just worn out.
Maybe a refitted steam room.
I'm going to make this short and sweet. I'm giving 5 stars because of the customer service Joshua was able to provide when calling about my membership. I've had some pretty awful experiences with 24's corporate and other locations so it was a breathe of fresh air to deal with someone so kind and understanding.
During my time coming to this location, all employees have been helpful, the people who workout at this gym are nice, and people actually rerack their weights which is nice for a change.
Thank you Joshua for all the help!
Very attentive trainers and also very attentive staff that cares about your comfort and ability to work out.
Should be called "24 Hour Broken"- not Fitness... There seems to be at least 1 piece of broken equipment daily. The equipment is in horrible condition, half of them are jammed or so rusted that it is impossible to adjust to your size, they are filthy dirty, squeaky, on some you can put on 100lbs and it feels light as a feather while on others you put barely any weight and it feels like a ton.. and same goes for the cardio equipment as well. It never fails that any time I try grabbing a paper towel or spray to clean after myself either the spray bottle is empty or there are no paper towels... Also is it very unorganized; most of time the dumbbells, medicine balls, and mats are all over the place no employee goes through to make sure everything is in its place. I've never seen an employee thoroughly clean either not to mention every time I go in the locker room it is also nasty, rarely is there toilet paper or the paper to sit on... I just wish there was an option to have a membership for just the Group X classes. I LOVE the classes but never using this facility to for weight lifting again. Taking my butt to Planet Fitness on Camp Bowie moving forward, it is VERY clean, smells so good, and the equipment is GREAT.
Please note it is not only the Overton Ridge location that is like this, Horne is the exact same don't bother wasting your money or time..

I have been to many other commercial gyms before, but I have never had a worse experience than I did here. I am visiting home for the summer, so I got a free 3 day pass form the website. I get there and immediately a sales manager (shorter guy with dark hair, can't remember his name) immediately accosts me to buy a membership. I tell him that I am only here for little over a month and would like to use the 3 day pass before I commit to anything. Then all of a sudden he throws out some odd rule about how since I go to school outside of Fort Worth I am unable to use the free 3 day pass. This is nonsense and he kept badgering and harassing me to pay for a membership. I told him again that I wanted to try the gym out first and then he has the audacity to say "I can get another manager to tell you the same thing". Hands down the rudest and most unpleasant experience I have ever had at a gym. Take your business elsewhere. Complete dishonesty and disrespect here.

A lot of equipment and utilities at this gym are either broken or incredibly dirty. Water fountains don't work properly, and anytime I go the zumba classes always have the doors open and I have to hear the terrible music and the instructor constantly yelling. If I wanted to be a part of that class I would have signed up.
Do you like going to a gym where hardly anything works properly? Because I certainly don't Lets start with the Menslocker room.
Both water fountains in there do not work properly, one is shut down, and the other will not drain, and if it does drain they have a bucket on the floor for it to drain in to (no this is not a recent problem. You ever cared about looking at the back of the sink handles? I didn't either until I grabbed one and the back had a lot of buildup and overall filthy. Not to mention after you wash your hands there are never any paper towels in the dispensers. One of the urinals has been dripping for a long time, it's pretty disgusting to be standing there feeling fluids splash against you.
Moving on to the upstairs. You ever had to roshambo for a squat rack? Well get used to it if you go during the evenings. There is always plenty of treadmills and other pieces of cardio equipment to use though. To touch on the water fountains again, some of the ones on the second floor either barely work, or don't work at all. Other than this place being broken down and disgusting, my biggest complaint has come here recently. The aerobics classes now leave the doors open for the entire gym to hear, its loud, and I mean really really loud. I wear some good noise dampening headphones with my music cranked up and I can still hear it over mine if I am anywhere near the class room. I did not sign up for the class, nor do I wish to be a part of it, so why must I be subjected to it? If I ran around the gym being yelling, and playing loud music I would be kicked out.
There are plenty of better options to this gym with a decent radius and I recommend you go to literally any other gym. You can get more for less elsewhere.

I like their new policy if you don't get a bill paid in time they will hear you out and offer straight across continuation for you (FYI- pay in person, the card payment I made kicked back after a few days and I never realized it - babies and no usage last year meant I didn't get notice it never went through. They somehow still had an outdated address and phone number.

Convenient location. Never had an issue or thought the staff was rude/unprofessional. Gets the job done. My only complaints are that they need to invest in new treadmills (nearly all of them are broken), more squat racks and should actually be 24 hours.
Good atmosphere. Staff is great and has daycare for children if you are wanting to work out but have no sitter.
I enjoy having a membership here but they really could update their equipment.
I'm not one to write reviews, but after the awful experience my husband and I have had with this 24hr I just had to let others know so they don't have to go through what we have been dealing with.
My husband and I had been researching gyms and decided to try 24hr since they are open all day (although after reading some reviews, maybe they aren't??). We used the free 3 day pass, but expectedly we had to talk to the sales manager first. This was supposed to take 15 minutes tops.. it took well over 40 minutes. During those 40 minutes my husband and I were badgered and harassed about buying a membership right on the spot before we could even try out the gym and see if we liked it. After repeatedly telling the sales manager we would have to talk about it and we would have an answer within 2-3 days, he told us if we did that we wouldn't be eligible for the deal they are running. My husband is in sales and we have business owners in our family, so we know full well how deals work.. if you can offer a lower price today, you can offer that same price tomorrow.. Anyway, we told him we'd think about it and he said "Well some people just like to come in here and use our free 3 days". We were pretty annoyed, but after he said that we decided we wouldn't get a membership here ever. Finally after 40 minutes we were able to try out the gym. Since then (almost a week ago), we have received 8+ calls from 24hr. My husband has shut them down twice and they still continue to call. In fact, when my husband shut the sales manager down, he got angry and cut my husband off. We've finally had to block them so we won't be harassed anymore. It's sad that our answer no can't just be respected. This manager obviously cares nothing about his members/prospective members, and only about the sale. Completely unprofessional! As far as the gym goes, it's big and if you're new to gyms it may be overwhelming at first, but it really wasn't anything nice and nothing stood out to me.

5/23/18 I wish I could give this place zero stars! Hate is a strong word but I hate this place so much!
I pay for the VIP locker room. The keypad lock on the door has been broken for 2 months!! Instead of fixing it the manager props it open so everyone that doesn't pay can use it for free while STILL CHARGING the paying VIP members. Half the time the door is closed and no one can get in not even paying VIP members.
It's annoying to have to keep asking Andy (the rude skinny blonde) at the front for help. She is unprofessional and I can't stand talking to her.
Yesterday morning I couldn't get into the VIP locker room that I pay for. I couldn't ask anyone for help because NO ONE WAS WORKING! Paying members are in the gym with no one working in the gym to help them. I had to call another location ( Halloran st) after 30 mins of looking for an employee needing my stuff for work out of my VIP locker , to tell them what was going on.
They don't fix anything at this gym. The shower in the VIP locker room has been broken for at least a year and gym equipment stays broken, too.
I have cancelled my membership. Don't join this gym. Planet Fitness is $12-$22 p/month close by. It is open 24 hours everyday unlike this location with working equipment, friendly staff, and clean locker rooms.
Corporate office: Hire a new gym manager that cares about the gym and it's members and fire Andy (the rude skinny blonde) so this gym can be great.

I went to this location attempting to use a 3 day pass. This blonde head lady who looks likes she's on crystal meth wouldn't allow me to use it because I was a former member. The pass says in fine print that you cannot use this pass if you've been a member in the last 6 months. I haven't been a member in 4 years!!!! Thanks 24 hour fitness for reminding me why I left in the first place. The girl at the counter should be fired. I've known people who've worked for this company who have been fired for less!!! Lastly, I called to speak with a manager.... And of course I haven't heard back!!!!
When I got the membership a month ago, I was told that the gym WAS open 24 hours during the week and part time during weekends.. it definitely is not 24 hour.. ever.
Ken is a awesome hip hop dance, I only cone to this gym for that, they need to remodel, especially the pool area
People at front desk are only nice to you so they can sell their memberships and get your money. Other than that, they are rude as hell. Not coming back here after that experience.
Poorly clean any of the equipments, machine and spa area always something broke and take months or years to fix, friendly staff though... I been a member of 24 hours going on 8 years now. As a member I wish the facility just do better!
If this place had WiFi for their members of would be 5 star. They've done a ton of upgrades and have a great staff.
cons: 2 squat racks in the entire gym!, overall just kind of old and run down.
Pros: tons of treadmills (Hey management, take out some treadmills and replace with squat racks and benches!) , 3rd or 4th quarter of 2017 they did some mild renovations and put in probably 20,000$ worth of work into locker rooms and equipment.
overall: Still the best gym in southwest fort worth that I have found. I wish lifetime would build a fort worth gym though.
Nice staff. 2 broken machines in the last 2 months but fixed quickly. Could use more regular cleaning.
Great gym, staff is nice. Most people are serious and come in there to lift not stare at themselves in the mirror. Which is always a plus ;).
Seems to be less toning equipment in this store compared to other 24 hour Fitness locations.. Only 1 ab machine? Nice pool, spa and sauna.
Gym was recently updated which is nice but the location an equipment are kind of worn. The staff is very friendly but I had an error by one of them cost me $60. I attepted to freeze my account in May because I was moving. Once I found out there was no 24's in my area I decided to cancel my membership. I was charged for both May and June where the freeze was suppose to be in place. They had no record of a freeze and said it was not in their policy to give refunds. If you are leaving the gym, do not put a freeze on your account, just cancel it.
Its a great place to workout at, they always have clean towels for your workout as you walk in which I like. They do keep this facility clean which is a plus cause a dirty gym is no bueno. It would be so awesome if it was 24/hours at least 6 Days a week.
Very dirty gym throughout. From the moldy locker room to the stained and tattered carpet in the workout area, this gym needs a renovation badly. The headphone jacks on all the treadmills do not work very well, if at all.
Edit: The new renovations look great. Treadmills still need some work but the locker room improvements and workout area flooring is much better.
