20 dollars for guest pass is absolutely absurd. Garbage place with garbage rules. No way to test it out. No one else come here.
You get what you pay for... most of the treadmills are broken, good luck finding locks for barbells if lifting heavy weights, and sometimes they don't even show up on time to open the gym. I went there this morning at 5 am and a bunch of people were waiting outside because the staff wasn't even there.
I go here because it's cheap and it's 24 hours. They have tons of great machines. If that's all that really matters to you, like it is to me, then this is a great deal. The staff is also very friendly. (Minus a few bad apples; that happens everywhere though.)
If dirtiness, bugs, shower curtains that don't close all the way, and men who swim and use the sauna in their actual UNDERPANTS are too much for you, however, you'll want to go elsewhere.
Good gym, but their TVs are terrible and all 6 are constantly on ESPN. I just want to watch the news.
This place is going to hell I mean the showers it's a mess running water.... The restrooms have holes on the walls so the other homeless guy next to you can see u I mean ..... But is just as bad as any other 24 hrs even in California it's the same if they would remodel them they would beat God's Gym in exellece they are open 24 hrs and staff is really nice tho

Been going to this location back when it was Magic Johnsons. Now under new owners you can tell. Men's bathroom and showers are HORRIFIC.. busted shower heads.. mildew, no soap. The workout areas are excellent though.

Horrible Experience. The guy "David " at the counter was very unprofessional and was verbally arguing over a disagreement about my membership. Ended up cancelling.
Lots of meatheads but no one really bothers you. Biggest complaint is how so much cardio equipment is always broken.

Horrible location extremely unprofessional.This location added two people to my membership without my consent. The people they added are listed under my policy as friends/family however I do not know them. The sales rep(Kevin Davis)that added them purposely did it on two separate occasions. I feel like my privacy was invaded and definitely will not be letting this go since then I've asked my policy be cancelled without a ETF but honestly I don't even think that's enough. They will do anything to reach there quota for signing members up clearly !!!! even if it means forging my signature SMH !

Love 24 Hour Fitness so far, hate this location. It is everything you dislike about signing up for a gym(which I am already a member of)but you go in and people work there however of course they are too busy staring at each other. Standing in front of them trying to get a question answered and its like I am invisible so I just walk by, after checking in, and the short big guy with a child's runs out and says we have to check in, which we had already done....This is all so we could spend 10 minutes of them attempting to make a sales pitch about how its $10 off this month and whatever, I am having to tell him that I signed up through my work and its coming out of my paycheck and we had representative who just signs it up for us, this guy just could not understand this and kept trying to sale it until I guess it dawned what I was telling them.

This place is absolutely disgusting and we're paying for main stream gym prices. Everything is always broken mold growing on floors under sinks rotten. Broken walls and the pool looks like you're going to catch a fungus from it. I'm really upset that I'm now locked into a contract here. Last night there were even exposed wires on a treadmill. This place is In dier need of a remodel!!!!!!!! #24hourfitness

I love this location. However, the bath stalls for men are nasty, broken shower heads, no curtains, no dryers or fans, no spinner to dry swimming trunks. Hot tub had little water pressure. Pool is acceptable, but I've seen gunk floating. Workout space and lighting is very good. I only dread the shower here. Fix the shower and I'll probably give 4 or 5 stars.

To be honest .. I had the worse experience @ this gym .. Royal lane -DALLAS is one of the worse 24 hour fitnesses . When they sign you up for membership .. they don't explain to you the rates of the cancelation & yearly fees . They explain to you wrong so when you cancel the second thing you know is you have a fee charge on your account . Poor customer service & dirty smelly location. I do not suggest it . That's why I switched to LA fitness .
If I could post a negative review I really would. This is the absolutely worse 24 hour fitness I have ever visited. On one visit the plumbing wasn't working, no water, no showers, no toilets, the gym wouldn't even offer free bottled water. They wanted you to sweat and pass out from heat stroke. The next occasion was the worse customer service experience ever. After the group class being cancelled due to the kids club refusing to watch the instructors children, I'm not sure what the real issue actually was but James Davis made it his issue to threaten to kick us out because we were making a scene. To make a long story short do yourself a favor and don't even join!!! I've reached out to corporate and absolutely nothing has been done. I will now reach out to the local CEO and see if he cares about these issues at all. Frank Napolitano expect to hear from your angry customers.
I've been to several 24 hour fitnesses, and for a Sport location, it's pretty shabby
Basic equipment. Works right. Place could be a little cleaner though.
I've also noticed that some of the equipment is really uncomfortable for taller people e.g their legs press platform is too small, so your knees go further out if you're tall. The original adjustable parts were replaced without reference to the original dimensions.
The treadmills here are always out of order. Out of 28 total treadmills 13 don't work at all and 2 have belt issues where the belt skips upon running. I have asked several times for last three months and the response is "they will be fixed when corporate office gives us money" where are my dues going ? I also work in the corporate world and this is not customer service. I'm going to cal corporate this week and if it doesn't get resolved soon then I'll probably switch back to LA or lifetime where they actually maintain their stuff.
The Central &Royal Lane location is the absolutely worst 24 hour fitness. During my visit earlier this week, the plumbing wasn't working, no water, no showers, no toilets which is extremely unsanitary. In addition, the fans weren't working in the group x room and there is always an issue with the air conditioning system. With all the problems listed above, the staff would not even consider offering complimentary bottled water to the members. I'm guessing they were not concerned about us sweating profusely and passing out due to heat exhaustion?? The next Incident Involved Kids Club refusing to watch an instructors children due to some system mix up. Needless to say, the class was cancelled without an explanation to the class. We stood there in slack jawed amazement . I'm not sure of the real issue here, but the front desk representative, James Davis, threaten to kick us out because we were allegedly making a scene by expressing our concerns inside the gym. This is totally unacceptable behavior by any employee representing the company. I've reached out to corporate office on several occasions and have not achieved the desired results warranted by a company of this magnitude . I will reach out to the CEO, Frank Napolitano, to inquire if he's aware of how 24 Hour Fitness members are being treated.
