My family has been using this gym for over 7 years (before they changed locations and in the newer location). We like that they have childcare available for up to 2 hours a day for members. Our son loves the jungle gym inside. The staff are friendly, and the gym is organized well, with a lot of machines to choose from. Also, we love the classes provided, as the instructors are nice and fun to workout with. They have a separate women's area to workout in as well.
Only major downside (and why I gave 2 less stars) is that the sauna is always over-crowded and the people don't use it properly. There are people that sit in it without a towel to wipe their sweat, and it pours all over the seats and floor, leaving you to sit in someone else's puddle of sweat. Not to mention, people sit there for hours, using it as a hangout area to listen to their loud music. It is a bit frustrating when you go in there to warm up your muscles, and can't even find a place to stand, let alone sit down, and the same people who were there when you got there to workout are still sitting there an hour later.
Despite this, we will still use this gym faithfully because we love the instructors, staff, and child's area.

I love this gym, but as a mom what really sets it apart for me is their Kids Club. I've been going to this gym for about 4 years now, and I have always felt totally comfortable leaving my kids with the ladies that work in the Kids Club. They go above and beyond with the kids, creating a safe, fun environment for the kids to play so that parents can be at ease leaving them during their workout. Miss Melissa and Miss Jessie especially have always made both me and my kids feel totally at ease and welcome everyday. A good gym is great, and Gold's really is a nice gym, but having a place that you can trust will take care of your kids and love on them while you're working out is a total game changer for a parent. It's because of those ladies and that kids department that I wouldn't even consider switching gyms.

The front desk receptionist never acknowledges anyone. He never ever looks up from his cell phone. If you need something good luck because he is too busy using his cell phone. The only time he acknowledges anyone is when he is trying to get a phone number for a membee. Is he the receptionist or is golds his personal office

Gold's gym is such a scam. Why the hell do you need to go through a financing company to get a gym membership? Am I taking out a loan to go to the dang gym? They way gold's gym has their memberships set up is confusing. Noone should have to go through a financing company to go to a dang gym. I do want to warn: there's no way to cancel your membership without the financing company telling you, you need to pay 800$ in order to cancel your membership.

This might be a problem for some people since babies are only allowed to be in the kids area for an hour. I've also had to wait to enter the gym when the kid's club is at capacity and cannot accept my kids. That's okay when we don't have any other plans for the day, but I can imagine other customers not being as understanding. I hope there are plans to expand. I recently traveled to San Antonio and went to a Gold's on a travel pass. It had racket ball courts, swiming, hot tub, and towel service in addition to what Conroe has. I went there several times that week and it was never crowded. The kid's club there accepted kids ages 3 years and under for an hour and a half. I wish my home gym in Conroe was more like that one.

I signed up for a personal trainer last week. Lots of $$. Now I am starting the new week and no one has still called. The packages they offer is HORRIBLE. My suggestion would be go with another gym. If you expect results and for someone to take you seriously.

It's a nice place to get a workout in and they have lots of ammentites. I like the fact that for just a added monthly fee you can bring one guest. The equipment definitely needs and upgrade and people need to rerack the weights in the correct location. It's an amazing gym very friendly people come here. Best gym in CONROE TEXAS!

Shander, was so helpful. When I needed help with finding out information, he was always there to clearly explain. He always have a warm smile on his face, which is very welcoming, even in a gym setting. Best customer service skills ever!!!

My husband and I LOVE this Gold's specifically because of the kids' club. The staff at the kids' club is hospitable, professional, and vigilant! Getting to the gym is easier for us because our little one is always chomping at the bit to go play, and when we pick her up, all of her crazy energy is spent which makes putting her to bed a LOT easier! I can't say enough wonderful things about the ladies at the kids' club! They rock!

Gym is GREAT, You get charge a yearly fee apart from your monthly membership. there excuse for the yearly fee is for the gyms "improvements" The "new" towers in the gym are completely hand downs and are not fully functional, I tried to use it and once I found out they were not working I thought to my self( well my yearly fee is definitely going some were else instead of equipment) The stair masters are almost always out of service. And the water fountain is deliciously chlorine flavored. The number One reason I keep my membership is because CLEAN showers and the Sauna is AWESOME. GREAT Gym over all

I feel like I was kind of manipulated into purchasing personal training sessions (which I now don't use). I was told they only offer a 2 year contract, which is way too long. The exercise classes are good; I just wish they had more variety & more weekend classes.

My family loves working out at the gym. My three boys absolutely love the Youth Performance they offer and I have seen great improvements in coordination and confidence!! They enjoy all their trainers, but their favorite is Samuel Jahani, it definitely shows that he loves working with the kids.

I'm sure it's a nice gym, but what matters is how you treat your clients. I signed up for the membership planning to move near one of their locations, I paid the sign up fees. My job changed and I ended up moving elsewhere, I didn't attend the gym one time and I tried to cancel in the first 60 days. I have to pay huge cancellation fees to cancel. I understand policy and all that, but what I"m saying is make the policy more client friendly. Make your policy make sense.
I'll never sign up with Gold's gym again and I will be telling my friends and family to do the same. Go anywhere but here.

I just wanted to give out a huge shout out to Golds gym Conroe and some of the departments and how happy I am with the customer service with the front desk. How wonderful the daycare is with all 4 of my boys.
I can not give enough praise to my trainer Sam. He has been supportive in this crazy journey with me. He has rearranged his schedule to meet mine. Texted me to see how I was going. Took my injuries into consideration. Listen to my whim but still pushed me to beyond my limits and meet all my goals.. and the best thing is I met a wonder friend:)
Thanks Sam for all u do!!! Thank u Golds Gym to hiring such a wonderful person!!!
