The amenities and variety of equipment is awesome. The pool area isn't very clean. I wanted to get into the hot tub after a workout and saw some brown residue swirling around and decided to give up on that. I know that people being dirty is not something the gym staff can help, but enforcing the cleanliness rules a bit more than just having signs, would be helpful. When I went into the sauna, someone had their workout shoes on with their feet on the bench.. 24hour fitness gyms are pricey FOR A REASON, so they should definitely pay a bit more attention in keeping the reputation of being a higher end gym, especially for the price people pay for a membership here.
I am getting use to the newer machines. But for more money you'd expect more space not just newer equipment. The staff is cool but they are missing out on opportunity. They'd drive in more opportunity for private training if they interacted with people more. If you see someone doing an exercise wrong introduce yourself and offer help. You may have an chance to work in an offer to train them and you may not but they will know you are helpful and knowledgeable. Trust me it would go along way.
Member about a year. Always clean and well organized on each visit..
Roughly 3-4 times per week. Plenty of trainers around in the gym if assistance needed. Equipment easy to operate with information and diagrams posted. Locker rooms are open and abundant: bring your own lock...Dry sauna, jacuzzi, and pool areas well maintained as well. Like the push button jacuzzi upgrade! Three lanes to swim are usually available on my visits...swimming as little or as much as I like without interruption. Very pleased with friendly staff walking in and heading out. Boutique store available with clothing items and nutritional options. Showers are private with amble stock.of bodywash/shampoo. Bring a towel. Enjoy being member with no plans to stop.
Updated this from four to five stars. The variety of equipment is awesome.
Going by the reviews and pictures online, I really thought this gym was going to be much worse than it was. It has a pretty big layout and lots of machines even advanced gyms are lacking. I really like the ab section.
Really old equipment but usually not busy. If you don't have a membership already I wouldn't recommend here. Go to any of the 4 other gyms in walking distance. Corporate needs to replace this junk. Serious. Its probably older than me and rustier than my childhood bike.
I don't normally take the time to write reviews about anything, but I really wanted to express my gratitude for the Carrollton club recently hiring a new manager (around mid February 2018) named Frank who has turned out to be a gem. Unlike so many managers at fitness clubs in general who don't really care about following up or going above and beyond to address members' concerns, Frank obviously does care about the members; he did his personal best to bring back a much loved class by so many that was at risk of being permanently taken off the schedule. I just met him in person and what a personality! Just from a single interaction by phone and then a face to face intro, I got a very good feeling about him. Congratulations to corporate for getting things right with this new hire!
The best 24hr Fitness location in DFW area despite them removing the Deadlift platform and the DBs over 120lbs. Has 4 squats racks and 2 smith machiness, a RDL Stand, 2 leg press and hack machines, pullups bar stand, cable system like the Fitness Connections, lots of working cardio equipment, a few bumper plates. Probably as close as you'll get to a hardcore gym commercial wise. Of course the locker room could be better, however I go there to workout, not relax.
This gym has lasted through the ages!
It continues to show improvements like physical upgrades and renovations to keep up with the North Dallas lifestyle.
Conveniently located.
Great gym, lots of machines and stations so you can easily find the workout you want and not have to dance with others to share.
Def. a bodybuilders gym.... They have EVERYTHING needed for gains... I've been to the Frisco, Plano, Castle Hill, Arlington, Mansfield, Bedford and Lewisville... and this is best out of all of them... Nothing Fancy, but good old school equipment.... NEVER CHANGE
Sunday morning July 16th 2017, we came to inquire info about joining the gym. We were excited but we encountered a rude receptionist who did not greet or thank. The way she communicated to us was one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had. She was just plain rude and couldn't wait to chase us out of the door.
Horrible Experience . Please don't use this gym.. Sales person is just looking to meet his target and will hide critical information.. Joined the gym on 31st July .Before joining I specifically asked if I can access all the facilities or not... Sales person confirmed with a big smile that I can access any Gym.On 1st August I went to the Super Sport Gym in Castle hills and to my surprise I was told that to use this Gym I need to pay $10/month extra. I called up the operational Manager (Michael) and he told that there was a miscommunication and he will get me enrolled to the Castle hills gym in 2 days as he will need approval from the GM Stephanie.I waited for 2 days and then called the Gym 4-5 times on Friday but neither Michael nor Stephanie received my call.I called back again on Saturday and the receptionist asked me to call back on Monday. I called back again on Monday and came to know that Michael has left the organization and the new Operation manager didn't agree to the deal that I had with the old manager.Cancelled my membership immediately. Will never ever opt for 24 hrs fitness. Will suggest to avoid such unethical business organization.
Cleaner than most 24 hour fitness around town. The machines and equipment are kept up and not broken down. Bathroom/locker room can use an update but still a very good gym. Staff is very friendly and helpful.
Excellent gym if you're serious about lifting. There isn't anything fancy here but this location has the most machines, squat racks, and benches, etc. that I have ever seen at a 24 hour location. If you want fancy new machines, a long list of classes, or shiny new locker rooms - this place probably isn't for you.
I just cancelled my 24 Hour Fitness gym membership after three years of lifting weights at this Trinity Mills and Marsh Lane location. Great, friendly staff, no problems there. The problem is the old, rusted out and often broken equipment. I just got tired of it. This location is long overdue for a complete renovation with all new equipment.
Want an even WORSE experience with 24 Hour Fitness' rusted, broken equipment? Go check out the Addison location at Belt Line and the Tollway! That's what I did and it just convinced me to give up on the 24 Hour Fitness brand completely, despite the nice friendly people who work at these locations and the serious weightlifters who -- like me -- just want to get it in, work hard, and get out of there whatever time of day it might be.
YouFit and Planet Fitness are opening up 30+ new gyms every month around the country with all new equipment -- 24 Hour Fitness cannot take one week to shut down and install all new equipment at these two North Dallas locations? They've been collecting monthly dues from all the members for years using all the same old, broken down equipment. The funds are there to reinvest in these locations and do right by their loyal, paying members. They simply have chosen not to do so in a timely manner.
When I called Corporate to cancel my membership, the woman was very nice and friendly. She did not ask WHY I was cancelling. I guess Corporate already knows and just cannot get its financing and act together to invest more quickly in these two North Dallas locations. As Trump would Tweet: "Sad!"
