I've been training with Bert at Adapt for about 6 months now and what a difference it has made! I came in with a several nagging injuries from other activities and mobility and strength imbalances. I was looking for a personalized training experience and someone who understands movement and the body rather than homogenized one-size-fits-all classes. Bert took the time to really understand my situation and developed a program addressing the foundational issues without unnecessary (and often counter-productive) cardio and other nonsense. 6 months later, I'm feeling and performing better with most of the original issues either resolving themselves or moving into the background. I can't recommend Bert and Adapt Fitness enough to those looking for a different kind of strength & conditioning experience.
I've been working with Bert for about two months and it's been great. When I started, I had a foot/shoulder injury and he helped me stretch and rehab it and now the pain is completely gone.
It's clear that Bert knows his stuff. I'm a fitness newb and he answers all of my questions in a way that makes sense to me. He really works with you to build a solid foundation first to ensure that you don't hurt yourself moving forward. And he has great energy!! It feels like I'm just hanging with a friend. Would recommend to anyone on the fence!!
I'm 40 (going on 20 in my mind) so I am known to push myself into injury from time to time. After a herniated disc had me in pain every day for 10 months straight I finally took 6+ weeks off. I started working with Bert before heading back to Orangetheory and my back has held up since! He's great at helping me ADAPT to my (frequent and almost constant) injuries and pain to keep me going with what I LOVE to do and can't live without! Thanks Bert! (Definitely go see him if you are old and broken)
Cole was excellent! Best half hour session I've ever had. He successfully kicked my butt and not only explained how to perform the exercises, but also why we were performing them and the science behind all of their equipment. Can't recommend him enough.

I have been a client for several years - either once or twice a week - and it has been nothing but a positive driving force in my life. It has given me confidence in my movements, in my body's abilities, and has made such an impact in my daily life. The 30 minutes I spend there twice a week boosts my brain, my body and my attitude! I would recommend this modality to ANYONE! They can work with any body in any stage of their fitness. The one hour a week gives me SO MUCH POWER! Thank you to EE and all that you do for me!

I have been with Shane for approximately six months, twice a week, and he is an amazing well-qualified trainer! Shane is extremely passionate about fitness and health and always very attentive and responsive to my individual goals. Every workout is unique and challenging especially sessions that include the ARX machines. I have seen positive changes with my body in both physical strength and appearance!
EE is a wonderful place to go for self-improvement, stress relief and to learn how to live a healthier lifestyle. I wholeheartedly recommend EE, Shane and the entire staff!!
I needed a weekly program to increase and maintain muscle mass that was in line with "Body by Science" exercises. The ARX machines have enabled me and to strengthen all my important muscle groups in only 30 minutes a week with no risk of injury. I have been training there for over a year, and have signed up for another.

Been working with Shane at EE for almost a year- the weekly workout is always changing and always challenging which keeps the routine interesting. Lots of attention on correct form to avoid injury and maximize the benefits. Thanks EE!
I've done a total of 5 sessions with noticeable improvement to my posture and strength. I have worked with Shane who is clearly very knowledgeable and cares about doing things correctly with the best form possible, rather than just doing things. It's all about building a balanced body, rather than just a beefed up body, so that you can get stronger while avoiding injury.
I was hit by a car as a pedestrian, and working with Shane has been as effective or more so than physical therapy for getting my body back into a healthy state. My physical therapist has been amazed by the descriptions I've given to him about Efficient Exercise and specifically Shane, and amazed at the improvement I've made in just a few weeks.
I have regained mobility in my shoulder, flexibility, experience less pain. OH AND I HAD A PINCHED NERVE AND ITS UNPINCHED NOW!!!!
I can't recommend this place or Shane enough. Plus it's right in the seaholm parking garage (right next to the entrance where you get your parking ticket), so it's easy to park and get in and out in less than an hour.
Bert is a phenomenal trainer!! He is incredibly knowledgeable of how the body works and beasting it up the workout without killing the joy. I highly recommend Efficient Exercise, especially Bert the awesome trainer!!
It's all right there in the name, Efficient Exercise, while keeping in fun and informative, you're there to work, and in one half an hour, I found that I got more done than two or three "normal" sessions in a typical gym. By far my favorite personal training experience.
Plus Shane and Bert are in serious shape! This is not where you should show up expecting to see overweight or out of shape trainers, this is the real deal.
Finally, not only have I been able to maintain my muscle, and actually gain strength in some areas, working out only once a week, but I am finding that I am more flexible than before, that I can extend and reach stretches that I haven't seen in years!
My friend introduced me to Efficient Exercise 2 years ago, and I have not looked back. I am excited to go for my weekly training because I get a good workout every time in 30 mins. Most of the time this is the only form of exercise I get because of my hectic life. EE helps me to maintain my health. I always leave feeling stronger and more fit. Both Shane and Burt are very knowledgeable and personable. I have been working with Shane and he is a gem! I highly recommend EE to anyone who is short on time but wants to get a good workout!

My plan for strength training was geared towards a one to one personal training to help supplement my daily yoga practice. No need for me to join a gym when I am seeking guided training. Efficient exercise was the only option that made sense to me. The gym is small(perfect size proportion to clients and machine), clean and full of all the equipment one needs to get every muscle group worked on. For 20 or 25 min you will work directly with one of efficient exercises trainers at any time in the day that works best for you, after setting up some guidelines and goals with your trainer he or she will begin a unique personal training method that will leave you feeling stronger in places you never thought you could activate with the normal gym routine. I have trained with Shane for two months and his training style has increased my upper body strength, overall flexibility, and a increase lower body strength/stability that I notice in my daily yoga practice. So far I have gained at least 5 pounds of muscle. I look forward to see what 6 months of EE will do to my body and my yogi lifestyle. I highly recommend this gym to anyone who wants to take their strength training to the next scientific level or anyone who wants to embark on a new health/ strength journey at any age and or physical capability.
