I have changed my review from 5 to 1 star........having attended here for almost 5 years now, I've witnessed quite a few changes that I am not happy about. Where do I begin?? I guess I'll start with the MANY ways they have decided to cut back on their services to save money and continue building their Austin Bikram Empire. 1. They stopped supplying plastic bags in the locker rooms to "save the planet". I attend another studio when traveling and they supply ECO "plastic" bags made from biodegradable material.....but I'm sure that would cut into their budget. 2. They stopped supplying paper schedules.......we have to go online now.....kind of difficult when driving......and even more difficult when they don't show their weekly or monthly schedule online.....only the current day......makes it hard to plan ahead. If you're lucky enough to figure out how to change the day on their website, you can view another day....but only one day at a time--quite annoying. 3. Don't expect to get a live person anymore if you call. They set up their phone system now to go straight to voicemail......oh, and if you leave a message, don't expect a call back......it won't happen. You have to email them now.....and good luck getting a timely response.....and sometimes, after numerous emails, they still don't respond........so much for customer service. 4. To better pad their bank account, they've pretty much made it impossible to get any type of class card......the only thing they offer now that makes any economical sense is their monthly membership. This way they are assured of getting at least $89-$99 a month from each client ($89 if you're eligible for a discount--slim chance). They've increased all the class card prices significantly and taken away all the discounts that they used to have for them.....so we pretty much have no other choice but the monthly fee! 5. They no longer have special offer days like Mother's Day or other holidays--when they would give you a 15 or 20% discouht off any package bought that day or detox weeks you could purchase for $25 and go as many times in a week as you wanted. The only "specials" they offer now is some puny discount off their over priced clothing line, which by the way, would only fit you if you are less than a size 10. 6. Don't expect their South location studio to let you know (by putting up a sign--for the benefit and courteousy of their clients) that cars get broken into on a fairly regular basis in front/side of their studio......Nooo, that may cause people not to want to go there and again it would cut into their deep pockets--instead, they let the unfortunate victims suffer the consquences in silence. 7. It seems as though the owners have taken a webinar in how to increase their online reviews.......they now offer you "reward" points if you leave a review. I guess if they have enough positive reviews, they will drown out any negative ones.......and will also beat out their competition when potential clients are looking to attend an Austin bikram studio.......yet another way they've discovered to pad their bank account. Sadly, the only good thing any more about Pure is their multiple locations and classes. Because of my displeasure with Pure, I tried going to another studio, but unfortunately the limited classes and location made it difficult. So for now, I'm stuck going here : (
