The parking lot lights weren't on at 7am, so it was really dark and didn't feel safe. The bathroom stalls were busted and seemed dirty, in need of replacing. I refused to use any of the water fountains because they were rusted and falling apart. The staff at the front was really nice and helpful, I did get a good workout in for myself, but I will not be returning until this place is updated.
It is a reasonable place to go. However it needs a good deep cleaning. I have noticed that the floors used to be brightly colored. They have become dark, almost black, with age. The people who work there are nice, but the locker rooms appear to need a good floor cleaning.
Of all the area gyms, the 24HR in Atascocita is a dump. To call the equipment dated is an understatement. Most of the equipment, except for the treadmills, is at least 30 yrs old... Broken... Patched together... And just in really bad shape.
For whatever reason, 24 HR corporate has ignored this gym's dilapidated condition. The other 24's I've used in Houston and in Texas, are well maintained.
Always clean. Plenty of equipment to use and good size locker room.
Lost weight at this club. Ryan (personal Trainer) was a big part of m try success.
But, management changed and it was not the great club I used to be a part of.
It used to be a place where you could go and achieve your fitness as goals
24 hour fitness in Atascocita was once a gym filled with members who were like family and inspired each other.

Cancel your membership if you haven't gone in 3 or more months. Just do it.
I plan on joining very soon. Large selection of weights and machines. Nice employees
The gym vibe is great, everyone gets along very well. The GX room is pretty big, and the classes are challenging.
This gym has the best value for the price. 50lbs weighs 50lbs anywhere else. Water is just as wet at the other locations. Plus it's open 24hrs. Cant beat that.

It has the basics with the added bonus and never overcrowded
I have been a member for a long time, 15 years or so. The gym has deteriorated to a point where the lower cost isnt even a benefit anymore. Two descriptions accurately depict the gym's state: DIRTY and BROKEN EQUIPMENT. The locker rooms and wet areas border on unhealthy.
The staff is always nice but they are not empowered to make maintenance requests. I have seen their process- write a note and slide it under the manager's door. I come early in the morning and weekends admittedly, but the new manager who has been there more than a year has never been seen. After emails about recent cleanlisness issues, I did get a brusque thank you. Nothing changed. Dont join this gym without trying inslecting it.
Disgusting management at this location, terrible restroom environment here as well. Awful staff from top to bottom. Nothing ever is replaced or fixed. Nobody is ever fired for not doing their job. All they care about is "the process" you have to be given a tour. They will pester you until you change all your information.
Love being able to work out late at night when no ones around or when my schedule allows
WORST GYM EVER! There is lazy guy in the front that doesn't even know how to give customer service he doesn't even GREET!. OBVIOUSLY the "second in command manager " or I'll say disrespectful and unprofessional manager call on me and my friend just because he was giving a couple of training lessons. I honestly think that this gym should be close for its own good the stablishment is old and unsupervised. Please DO NOT GO TO THID GYM PEOPLE.
Nasty bathrooms, poor machine maintenance, lazy staff AND fine print charges.
Take a look for yourself. This place is nasty dirty and old. Those shower tiles look like they haven't been replaced ever. Moldy and yellow grout. Yuk. I've commented to management at least 3 times that the showers are yucky. They don't care. I just stopped showering there.
It's clear that the manager does not supervise the staff's work. Most of the time I couldn't even find a paper towel dispenser that has paper in it. I always had to ask the front desk for them to refill it.
BUT MOST annoying is that when you sign un they don't tell you that your credit card will be charged a yearly fee. In my case it was for $54.11. Yes maybe it was buried in the small print but it should be more prominently printed.
Great place for working out been going here for years. Gets crowded sometimes but people do their sets and move on pretty quickly
Very dirty and out dated. Tv in locker room is broken and the shower by the pool is broken. Pool is sometimes cold.
The gym needs to upgrade equipment.. some not all.. cleaning needs to be done on a regular.
signed for almost 11 months and promised that old equipments are to be replaced i.e treadmills, resistance machines etc and NONE seemed to have materialized. this gym is going downward spiral.
Moderate amount of equipment, unfortunately their cleaning habits are appalling. They do not clean the second room where people do kettlebells at all according to the manager.
As part of my New Year's resolution to lose weight and get back in shape, I recently started going back to this club after being away for a year. I was shocked to see how badly things have deteriorated in that time. Signs of neglect are everywhere - Nearly half of the treadmills had "Out of Order" signs on them. Of the eight showers in the men's room, four of them have the handles missing or broken off. Only three or four of the hooks used to hang up your towel are still functional. The only thing keeping it alive are the good supply of free weights and weight machines. When you walk in, the first thing you see is four or five empty cubicles. It immediately gave me the impression that this club is in decline. A year ago, all of those cubicles were filled with employees.
The Atascocita 24 Hour Fitness is in a prime location along busy FM 1960 with no other gyms or clubs nearby. There is no reason why this place should be doing so poorly. It's got the potential; it just needs better management.
UPDATE - Since posting this review last month, I have to say that someone has taken notice. Almost all of the broken machines have been fixed, the towel hooks have been fixed and now all but one of the showers in the men's locker room actually work. So things ARE getting better.
They are doing some remodeling and that's great. I wish they cleaned the jacuzzi more. They need someone to enforce rules for the water area. I've seen guys come straight from a workout and sweating like a race horse from the suana use the pool to wash their dirty stinking feet. Others were musty and sweaty cooling off in the pool swimming in workout clothes without showering. This gym needs more cleaning staff presence more.
