My brother goes there
This is a great school with a great teaching style and energy in the classroom.
But beware- PLEASE DO NOT SIGN ANY CONTRACTS. These are non-cancellable.
My son went here for a few months and then my husband got a job in another city. He will move there soon and my kids and I plan to travel to India and join him, but we haven't decided if we want to come back in 3 months or 6 months.
We realized that we are stuck with the contract only when we went to withdraw my son giving a 30 day notice period (which we have done for my daughters ballet school). Most of my kids contracts with child care, other extracurricular activities are at a 2 week or 30 day cancellation.
Master Kwon agrees to freeze the account for 3 months and then we have to provide proof of the move which is fine (my husband plans to look for a paying guest option while he is alone here) except we feel that we should be allowed to freely terminate for any reason whatsoever.
When I asked him if my son didn't enjoy it, he said he was bound by the contract. So a 6 year old kid is bound by it which is ridiculous.
After talking to many people and posting online, we've realized that this is the only entity that has a non cancellable contract.
Then for our lease breakage, it's a 60 day notice period.
We've offered to pay full charges for the months that my son attended and even took forfeit the extra 110$ that we paid. But it's difficult to get out of this contract.
So please beware because with little kids and family circumstances, we should be able to obtain flexibility and understanding from a school. DO NOT SIGN ANY CONTRACTS.
My 7 year old son went here for only 4 months on a recommendation of a friend. We only had to end the contract because we had to relocate.
Master Kwon is an expert teacher with a great commanding voice and an amazing sense of humor. The classes are always full of energy and there's a good mix of learning different stances and sequential movements and games focusing on mind/body skills.
I found that in a short span of time, my son had achieved a better attention span and focus and more self confidence and in his ability. He loved going to class every day.
I also really liked that each month, they have a time slot where the child is tested for the next level belt. Each level is tested on the sequences, certain information and number counting to test their memory. The belt is not just handed out to the students...Since they earn it, the sense of achievement is definitely higher.
We will be looking for something similar in our new city. I am glad I found Dragon K and highly recommend it for little and older kids.
