Daniel does a really great job identifying your strengths and weaknesses and working with that to help you achieve your goals. He is also extremely detail-oriented and helped correct seemingly small mistakes I was doing in my exercises which have actually made all the difference in my results. When I first started I couldn't squat on my own without really bad pain in my hips and knees...now I'm not only able to squat, but I can even carry a little extra weight while doing it. Highly recommend regardless of your goals!

I've worked out at gyms before but Daniel brings an approach that's focus is on movement and flexibility I needed in order to slim down. I had 2 people last week say "Look how skinny you are!" That felt amazing.

I've worked out at gyms before but Daniel brings an approach that's focus is on movement and flexibility I needed in order to slim down. I had 2 people last week say "Look how skinny you are!" That felt amazing.

I recently completed the 6 week fitness and nutrition program with Daniel Johnson, and I'm impressed with the results! I didn't know I could get my body to look like this in just 6 weeks. Daniel put together an effective workout program while helping to fine tune nutrition by managing macros. I plan on continuing along with my training; if I could achieve these results in 6 weeks, I'm excited to see what more time spent could return. The first couple weeks were a bit of a warm-up and took some figuring out how to get into the routine. It felt great to hit a rhythm by week 3 or 4 and really feel like I was making progress. My overall health and well being seemed to improve as well. The nutrition side took a bit of discipline (weighing and managing portions) but made a huge impact as well. That's what stuck out to me the most: how easy it is to ignore serving size. When you stop to really pay attention to actual serving size and what you're putting in your body, it really does add up! So that's been a huge benefit as well: a heightened awareness of what I'm putting in to my body. While I didn't drop that much weight over the course of the program, I built up muscle and certainly met my goals. I was thrilled with my experience with Daniel. He took time weekly to discuss goal and help with any questions over the phone. He was always easily accessible and extremely knowledgable with exercise form, nutrition suggestions and supplements. It feels great to feel great again!

I participated in Effect Fitness's 6 week challenge with Daniel Johnson as my coach. I am significantly stronger and even met my goal weight before the 6 weeks was over. Daniel was encouraging and realistic about balancing nutrition and exercise with my life as a father, husband, and professional. With all these things going on in my life, I did not feel like the challenge was something which drastically changed my life and yet I have received drastic results. Post-challenge, my body is craving the exercise that Daniel put me through. Where I could barely do two pull ups in a row, I can now do 10. Where certain pants were placed in the corner of my closet, they now have new life with my slimmer waist size. However, none of that compares to the positive impact it has had on my wife's libido, which of course is none of your business and yet, isn't that kind of the point to all this? :)

I recently completed the 6 Week training program at Effect and I'm very happy with the results. I'm getting married in September so I wanted to get in good shape, not just for the photos but for my lady (PS - she's very pleased with the results too!). Daniel did a great job instructing me and my group of guys on proper techniques, patiently answering any dumb questions, encouraging us, etc. The first few weeks were good - decent conditioning without totally killing me. But I really felt the results when the program ramped up in week 3 after. I started feeling muscles I never knew existed. My posture, normally poor and hunched, is much stronger. And, most important, my beer gut disappeared! The diet portion of the program was great too, and kept me aware of how I was treating my body even on the "off" days. The entire program was well designed to balance out the exercises and prevent injury while getting you stronger and more fit. Even the buy-in was a smart idea. I was a little skeptical of that part at first but, along with the encouragement from my partners, it kept me in the game deep into the later weeks. The Effect gym is great too - well equipped, easy to use, and full of supportive folks. I highly recommend the 6 Week program to anyone. I feel great, look great (in my modest humble opinion), and I plan on keeping it up, even after the Big Day ;)

I worked with Daniel for a few years and in that time he worked with me to meet my various needs in each phase. He never took the approach that any one thing was ultimately right or best. He worked with me, paying very specific attention to not only what I was saying my goals were, but helping me see possible improvements to my body or movement range that would ultimately help me achieve my goals. From how I overcompensated using my shoulders, to an outward turned foot, even to hip stretches...small things I couldn't see because I was too focused on being strong and toned. If I can say anything about Daniel, it's that he is caring about and thinking about your wellbeing even when you are not. He is thoughtful, smart, engaging, knowledgeable, trustworthy, thorough and effective in his methods. I would recommend him to anyone. He will be better for you than you know you need.

Effect Fitness is an amazing training program here in Nashville. Daniel has worked very hard to help me realize my personal goals and has kept my workouts centered around those goals the entire time. Daniel is so passionate about helping his clients look and feel their bests. Daniel is very knowledgeable in nutrition, restorative movements, and yoga as well. His studio is very clean and is great for individual sessions or even groups. I would highly recommend Effect Fitness to anyone wanting to gain strength, tone muscles, and a achieve a healthier body! Five stars!

Daniel is one of the most talented trainers out there. He pushes and encourages you to do things you don't think you can do! He stays on you about your eating, is always available for a phone call and really, truly believes in his clients! My results with Daniel not only benefit me physically, but mentally as well! He is a breath of fresh air!! I highly recommend him to anyone :)

Daniel helped me to improve my form and motivates me to push past my comfort zone. I noticed results very soon after training with him. He is always on time which is important to me. He is very encouraging with his words and genuinely cares about his clients. I would highly recommend him to anyone of any fitness level or age. He's very knowledgeable and all around a stand up guy.

Daniel's style of personal training is just that, personal. I went to him wanting to work on my form, and that is exactly what we did. He showed me what I was doing wrong, as well as what I was doing right so that I can get the most out of my workout. Daniel made me realize that I was being pretty passive with most of my movements and showed me some adjustments to make them work better.
Truly an eye opening experience.

He's also a certified yoga instructor, which I think is so great!!! Thanks Daniel!
