I absolutely adore this studio! I discovered it while using class pass but felt myself drawn to it after my 3 allotted classes each month.
The vibe is everything yoga should be. Acceptance and community being top priority. Yes the classes are packed in and there are no mirrors, but doesn't that go along with the yoga practice? My favorite part about the "tiny" room is that there are no mirrors, but windows instead! I've brought several people along with me to fall in love with this cozy place too. Though I'm moving from Nashville, dropping in to visit this studio will always be a priority on my return visits.
I have to give a shout out to my favorite instructor, Murn. She is very welcoming and friendly, never makes you feel bad for not getting into advanced poses, but also pushes you to do your best. I remember one visit that I had been running a bit late and when I rushed in apologizing for almost missing the class, she very calmly said "You aren't late! You're right on time!". If you're lucky, she plays Bieber and made me think about his song "What Do You Mean" on a deeper level.haha! She also brought the concept of "choose-day" to my attention. :-)
Anyway, if you're looking for an authentic yoga experience to inspire you to be the best you can be, look no further than Shakti!
