I want to compliment Julia. She always opens on time on Sunday which is very important to me. She is always kind and helpful whenever I talk to her. She keeps it clean and sanitizes surfaces which is really essential right now. She brightens my day every time I come in.
Definitely one of the best Gold's Gym's I've been to. They have one of the best selections and varieties of equipment that I've ever seen. Wish I had one like this close to home!

I don't recommend this location if you have kids. The kids center employees are rude, and I have never seen them interact with the kids. Apparently my son was in there five minutes overtime, one of the ladies (dark hair) approached me and told me to come get him. I said ok I'm coming, and she said "no, come like RIGHT NOW". so I assume my son is in there causing a ruckus, but nope he is entertaining himself with some toys at a table. I understand telling me my time is up, but there is no need to get rude about a kid causing no problems. The other location on Northfield has a smaller kids center but the employees are the complete opposite. They are excited to see your kid and are always interacting with them. It's just inconvenient to drive all the way across town, but I guess I'll have to whenever I have my kid with me seeing as though he is too much of a burden on this location.

Convenient parking. Nearly always packed though especially in the free weights. Class schedules seem to be mostly during the mid day time. Childcare fills quickly. There is nowhere for kids to workout.
Love my train place... it's great... the work out machines are a lot and you can work all your muscles and be fun because their gym's classes are amazing...
Okay, my review is split. The 2 rating is because the washing / toileting facilities are deplorable at the Old Fort and Memorial Blvd locations. The water pressure in the toilets are weak, requiring multiple flushes and plunging to adequately dispose of waste. The shower faucets and showerhead are horribly outdated, old, non-adjustable and the water sprays everywhere but on you. The shower soap dispensers emit something that smells like sulfuric acid. The odor is pungent, dank and offensive. There is not adequate seating or surface tops in or near the showers to shower comfortably and conveniently after a workout. The locker room is cold in the winter so expect to shiver after a shower. I've raised the plumbing ssues and I have yet to see any improvement. The staff seem passive and disinterested (just read other reviews. They say the same.). It should not be like this.
The other aspect of the gym, the workout facilities, seem to me acceptable and appreciable. I love the spaces, the layout, the movie workout room, the lounge area, the bar, the hot water coming out of the pipes and I especially appreciate the hours. For these, I give the Gym a 3.5. Once the plumbing is addressed, more points will be earned.
Great gym and staff. From open workouts to personal training to hot yoga, they have it all. The gym is clean and well maintained and the staff truly cares about its customer. Highly recommend!
Literally just walked in to try and purchase a membership for my wife and I . The young lady at the desk had her head down texting(no biggie) but looked up and said "yes ?" I say "I'd like to talk to someone about a membership " she says " what do you want to know about it?" Ummm hmm well I'd like for you to tell me about it ...her reply "I don't usually work at this one" and continues to look through drawers" then says well we have a silver its a year contract " I say OK what are the others...I then say I feel like I'm bothering you I'll come back when someone can explain the memberships to me....her reply "whatever" .... Im a nice guy and give people the benefit of the doubt . But wow ...not a way to gain new customers. If someone reaches out to me I'll be happy to give her name ...
It's a good gym that has most of what everyone would need to break a good sweat. My problem with gold's is the lack of management in the place. They have rules that aren't enforced which is a problem.
I've been going to this gym since they opened and had the VIP membership. Never had a problem from this place. Great equipment and welcoming staff. The people that work out here are friendly too. Seems that some people like to complain and give unnecessary bad reviews. I use my membership when I travel too and this gym rates as high as any golds gym that I have used.
Very hot. They don't run the AC in the summer like they should as as soon as it gets a little cooler they crank up the heat.

Nice location, tons of equipment-- so much so that the machines are literally inches apart which is a tight squeeze but they make it work. It can get pretty crowded around peak hours, but you'll still be able to get your workout in.
Excellent place to get a workout in, not a gym like planet fitness that gets on to you for getting in some sick reps. This is where you wanna go if you're committed to getting results.
