I really enjoy going to PF! They're always clean, and they have machines blocked for social distancing, and just as important...the staff is always so helpful! I highly recommend going here for a great workout!

Love this gym. Not a bunch of big body builders. just people trying to be fit. Love the morning classes. Perfect for my age.

Brand new gym with all new equipment. Place is clean, and friendly. Staff has always been helpful. Never too crowded, even during peak business times.

UPDATE:
I spoke to the manager (or interim manager?), Jasmine Duke, in which she told me to do the same thing that the other clerk told my daughter, to send a letter. I told her that she already did that. To that she said that she needed it to be certified in order to prove it. Really? That's not in the contract at all. When I told her to cancel the membership (again) immediately, she said that I need to email her. The address she gave me was returned to sender. I called the murfreesboro location and got the assistant managers email (Mike) and emailed him... hopefully this will get resolved and we'll get a refund for the 6 months of fees that were charged. --- This seems nothing better than a scam.

My daughter has cancelled IN PERSON and in WRITING 3 different times with the Murfreesboro club, and funds are still be withdrawn from her account. The first time the cancellation was made was in June, and she has been charged every month since (It's now December)

There has been no communication from their management with each inquiry. Complete BS.

There is no corporate oversight in each club, so you just have to hope that the inept people working/owning the place will do their job.

We contacted via email, phone, in person, and mail... without satisfaction. We had to be there to sign her up, but you won't talk to us about cancelling? Yet another way that Planet Fitness creates hoops to jump through in order to cancel. The only way I was able to cancel the membership, was to contact our bank and stop payments with a fraud claim - with the documentation to prove that we cancelled it. To date, there has been no followup from PF.

I absolutely love the hydro massage bed. I love that I am able to take my 13 year old daughter to the gym as a guest every time I go rather than having to get a separate membership for her. The facility is well maintained, clean and modern. I love it.

I really enjoy my local Planet Fitness! The equipment is is good working order and it is clean!

I have been a member here for almost 2 years. I like the gym itself with the amenities especially the hydro bed and lounges. I would give that part a 4 or 5 star. It is clean too which I like. My problem stems from a disagreement that I had with a manager several months back and then I felt like I was personally attacked when one of her associates came to her defense I guess. I asked him to stay out of it but he didn't. I called the 800 number to make a complaint and that person was rude too. I never got a call back from anyone to discuss my concerns.
Most of the employees are very friendly but there is one employee there that is very rude. He is a young black male. I don't know his name. For example when I approach him to use the tanning bed he will never make eye contact. He says very little. He never smiles. In fact it is really uncomfortable to deal with him. I always try to wait until someone else can help me. It is hard for me to conceive that I am the only one who notices this behavior. It is worse than poor customer service. He should be shown the exit door by management but he is still here. The only thing that keeps me coming back are the hydro massages.

Love the gym & atmosphere, but the management is trash. I have officially decided I'm done with PF until management develops basic levels of professionalism and customer service.

I really don't see why this gym gets a bad rep. I understand it's a little different than other gyns but the rules are fair to those who feel uncomfortable in traditional gym environments. I do enjoy seeing heavier people trying to change their lifestyles everyday. The only negative opinion I have on this place is the free weights section is too small. Other than that I've been able to make gains there and I've lost 2 inches off my waist in a month. They facility is so clean and new feeling and has excellent upkeep. The staff is friendly and prompt when the cleaning supplies are empty and they are notified about it. Handicap accessible and altogether a great place for anyone to go who is new or intermediate in the fitness world.

This is the third gym I've joined in the past 5 years and it has got to be the cleanest, friendliest place I have ever experienced. I love going to the gym, and as a big girl that's saying something! :)

The only gym I've been to that doesn't make me feel self conciese while I work out. It's also never real busy and always clean and nice staff.

Love this gym but never fails that the tanning beds aren't clean. I don't doubt that they cleaned them but if you don't clean the inside of the part that you pull down on top of you then it isn't clean. Also same beds will have face bulbs out of order or music doesn't work.

Mariann at planet fitness(Murfreesboro) is a wonderful person to speak to she is well educated about her facility and job. I am having a wonderful experience being a part of planet fitness gym Family and if i could I'd give her some type of recognition or raise. Staying committed, positive, and sometimes being directed by the right person brings success...Thanks for all you do!! Mariann i hope this gets to you or someone:)

I just left this gym for one better suited to my fitness goals, but that doesn't mean this place isn't any good. I personally feel like it's a great place for beginners and people who just want to get out and be active after a day at the office. The staff was always friendly and helpful when I was there, and the facility itself was always clean and organized. Based on what I am looking for in a gym, I realized this place wasn't for me.

Great gym! I wish the location was more convenient, but that's not an issue for everyone. I recommend PF to anyone needing a regular place to go work out.

I've been a member for 2 years or more and have visted several locations. This one is well above average. All of them are crowded after 5pm. This one is large enough to handle a crowd, but I prefer to go before 4pm. The staff is friendly and engaged in keeping the place maintained.

Always clean and well maintained. The staff is super. Get a black card membership, the hydro massage table is worth the whole membership for my fibromyalgia. There are plenty of machines, and if,you can go at odd hours it is like having your own gym. Really nice tanning beds, showers are small but the hot water does not run out. It is a peaceful place to work out and you will see folks of all levels, body types and even some in their 80s and 90s. Been going there over a year. I am not a gym person, but I love the hydro bed and once I am there, feel compelled to work out. Easy to train at your own speed/pace or there are classes throughout the day that are free. Does not have yoga and boot camp type stuff.

I have been paying 21.94 a month for several years for a membership I had stopped using. I know - dumb. I tried calling to cancel but they said I had to come in. So I went in on Sept 29 to cancel and told the attendant I wanted to get it done before October when my renewal fee ($42.80) would be charged. Today I see it was charged to me anyway. I called to get it corrected and was told that there are no refunds once a fee has processed. Oh and I would have had to cancel by the 25th of Sept to avoid this charge. ("Its in the fine print") Thanks. I really hate automatic renewals! lol

Everyone is super friendly, they are cheap and I don't feel like I need to be 110 lbs to workout there. Nice environment and always machines open.

I've been a member of planet fitness for almost 4 years in 3 different states and It's shame that these places always seem to go down hill after about a year. There great for the 1st year. Once that hits they stop cleaning, never paper towels in the dispensers. All employees congregate and the front desk and stand around and do nothing but talk to each other on how much fun they had partying the night before. This is what I come into today at the gym.....what a shame!!!
