Great place to work out at any time of the day or week (24/7). They have a full selection of cardio machinery and plenty of options for weights, both free and machine. It's always clean and has showers and lockers in the locker room - just bring your own locks, towels, and soap.
It's a little small and the lifting section can be a little crowded, but I've always been able to find something to do.
Only $15 a month for one location, or $25 for access to all locations. The $25 also covers tanning and their hydromassage chair. You can easily switch locations under the $15 plan if you move or find a more convenient location.
24/7 great tanning beds and machines
Great gym open 24 hours and only 15 dollars a month
Good clean gym. Plus a gym that people don't drop the weights with every rep.
I have the membership that give me access to all ATC Fitness locations. I just want to give a shout out to the Spottswood Ave gym for their customer service. The little things do make a difference, and I am always greeted and acknowledged when I leave. There are other locations I frequent that are far inferior in regards to their customer service, and it makes the staff seem exceptionally disinterested. This is not meant to focus on the others, but to say keep it up at Spottswood Ave!
Always a space open when I need to work out

Spottswood was my favorite location thus far. By far the friendliest staff

I love that they r open 24hrs
Good gym, but the male employees are AWFUL. Everything about the gym is nice. However all the male employees flirt and hit on every attractive girl that walks in, or any attractive girl they're working with. It's like a zoo. They behave like animals and it's disgusting to watch. High fiving random attractive girls, cracking jokes, complimenting their looks. I have heard it all. Try pausing your music around them and you'll hear it all. Why is this allowed? I can only imagine how the girls feel. And if they're not hitting on girls, they're doing absolutely nothing. Chatting it up, laughing their asses off, being louder than the people working out. The female employees are great. They seem to just put up with the males. I can specify particular males if you want to email me. Something needs to be done or I will go to higher management.

This is the best gym I've found in my area. Im willing to drive the 15 minutes from Midtown and also back to go to this gym because of the solid equipment / machines, 24 hour access, fair price, and, honestly, just that Im typically not around the same old Midtown crowd here. I've worked out all hours of the day here except early morning. My only complaint is that late at night, other gym goers are not shy and will blast their music or will obnoxiously sing along with the radio playing over the speakers.
Great location, clean and well maintained. Members are nice and polite.
Parking can be difficult at peak times.
I was a regular at ATC Spottswood since they opened up nearly a year ago, but my membership was abruptly terminated. Let me tell you about my experience:
The employees are in their late-20's or early-30's, but still act like they are at the "cool kids table" in high school. They won't even look at you when you come in the door. The gym I'm at now (Q4 Fitness) welcomes me warmly, by name, each time I walk in. The difference in attitude is like night and day.
The music is always teen-pop like Justin Bieber and Lady Gaga. I asked about it and they told me they had to play it since they advertise on that radio station... the music is so bad, even the employees wear headphones. It's loud too. Loud and bad. If you like that music, I don't mean to insult you, but you have to admit that it isn't exactly conducive to working out and getting amped up. No one deadlifts three times their body weight listening to "you're giving me a million reasons.. blah blah blah."
The gym is your typical commercial gym. If you simply want to show up and run on a treadmill or do some bicep curls, you'll probably be fine - but if you're interested in strength training, you'll be disappointed. No bumper plates, no sleds/prowlers, no in-door turf, no kettleballs, dumbbells stop at 80 lbs (lol), no heavy ropes, no foam rollers, no bands, no chalk, no TRX bands, no gymnast rings, no extra barbells, no specialty barbells, no chains, no micro-plates, and no boxes.
College-age bros swarm this gym. Good luck getting into one of the two squat racks to squat - because some Chesty McBiceps bro is on his 28th set of bicep curls at 55 pounds in the squat rack, despite there being preloaded bars RIGHT BEHIND HIM. Oh, and he will definitely be taking 10 minutes between each set to snap some pictures and instagram those sweet pumped up 'ceps.
My membership was terminated by the GM Micah for using chalk and because "an employee overheard me saying f*** the employees and this gym." It's true that I wasn't happy with the gym or the employees, but I wasn't walking around saying "f*** this place and f*** the employees." As for the chalk, I had been using it responsibly and cleaning up after myself for a year. I didn't get a warning or anything; my membership was immediately terminated over the phone, and Micah hung up on me when I tried to explain.
It was a blessing in disguise, actually, because I'm much happier where I am now. Also, I didn't have to go through the ridiculous, pain-staking procedure of canceling my membership. My girlfriend went to cancel her membership and there are a lot of hoops and ladders to jump through. They make it very difficult for you to cancel, all the while advertising "no commitment, no strings attached." Yeah, right... So if you do make the mistake of signing up here, just remember: it's a lot less painful getting thrown out or terminated than it is to cancel your membership.
I would highly, highly recommend taking your business elsewhere. Q4 Fitness is right down the street and has all the things I listed above that ATC does not have. Q4 Fitness is also $16 a month, making it basically the same price as ATC but with A LOT more bang for your buck. I do not work for Q4, nor do I have any vested interest in the place outside from the fact that it made me fall in love with weight lifting all over again.
I have yet to have any bad experiences here! Being new to a gym setting was scary but the workers make you feel right at home. Open 24 hours is amazing and tanning when workers are there is great!

Gym is nice and clean, however employees aren't the most friendly and I feel they look down on people that come in. Have a cocky attitude. Wish it was a little more welcoming.
The breadth of weights and cardio equipment at this gym is excellent. It is kept clean by staff and has a very spacious feel. Over the last few months, the membership has grown considerably and now it is very difficult to find open free weights (1600-2000). The cardio equipment is plentiful and tends not to have this problem. Also, the early morning hours (0500-0700) tend to be far more manageable. Customer service has ticked up. Would love to see another squat rack and dumbbells up to 100 lbs. at the very least. All in all a solid gym.
Very convenient location. Pretty clean.
