Nice, flat walking/bike path. Parking is limited. A lot of people around, too.
Love walking, running, riding bikes on the Tweetsie. Wish a few homes adjacent to the trail would clean up their places, but most of the trail is a real treat. In warm weather I'm on it at least three days a week. I feel very privileged to have access and try to give back by doing trash pick-up and being a friendly face on the trail. It's a real asset to our community.

Not much of a parking spot. Great nature walk trail though. Great for biking, trail goes about 14 miles all the way to Elizabethton. Bike shop with slushy by entrance

Great place to walk, ride bikes, etc. Sometimes there is a drug addict or 2 hanging by the entrance, but they are usually pretty nice. Still a good idea to lock the car though.

I wouldn't suggest walking at night unless u have protection.. And a group of ppl. We were walking and of course time change it gets dark earlier and park closes at 8pm, so we were walking back and most ppl seem great but their were a few that are leary..i noticed a lot of teenage kids smoking pot at night. It was real obvious. Of course i had my husband son and dogs with me so i wasn't uncomfortable, but some ppl may be offended. Great place for a long or short walk. Can be a little dangerous for kids with bikes due to their is not guardrail to keep them from going off the small cliff and then the very large one, so def be careful. I made my son push his bike a few times until passing and also ride in his wagon passing that area when we went. Other than those little bad spots it's great!!
I love running here. Mile 3 from the Jc side is the quarry and some great views. Parking can be tricky when it's busy. They have extra parking down the road at cardinals stadium. It's a packed gravel surface. Lots of bikes and runners. Bikes often forget that they have to pass on the left and signal. All in all a great trail in Johnson city.
I love the Tweetsie Trail! I ride here everyday to and from work on my bike, it is an amazing exercise. The trail makes it really convenient for people that to travel from Elizabethton to Johnson City (vice versa) and help save the environment.
I absolute love this place!! Parking is very good. Their is many spots to park. Regardless if the main area is full. I wouldn't recommend parking my brand new Bentley there due to gravel and dirt in either lot but could manage if that's ur call. Just due to the gravel it may end up getting kicked up at ur car with bikes and kids. Etc. .
Tweeter is a great trail for biking, running, walking, or brining fido!
Great trail. They also have some nice signs talking about the history of the old railroad tracks.
