The staff is warm and friendly and take time to get to know you on a personal basis. They genuinely want to support you on your wellness journey. The YMCA is kept clean and it is cost effective.

Nice facility with multiple pools, saunas, whirl pool, large workout area with machines and free weights. Lots of cardio equipment, two studios for yoga, aerobics etc. Small basketball court with a running track above it. Also has a kids area with counselors to watch over the little ones while you sweat!

We, as Seniors, have enjoyed many years of exercising for fitness at the Y through the Silver Sneakers program. Since the Tennessee Y has decided they aren't getting enough money for the program ( the only Y in the country that I know of that is cutting the program for Seniors) my family and friends will now attend a different fitness facility that will accept Silver Sneakers. In addition, we no longer plan to contribute our yearly donation to the YMCA.

This one star is not for the facility, which is clean and has all the baseline equipment you need, this one star is because of the patrons. For some reason people like to bring their small children into the adult locker, even though it is against the rules and there's a designated family locker room. Why you would bring your small children into a locker room filled with nude men is beyond me, but some people don't want to undress around your kids. Staff should put more effort into making sure this doesn't happen and people who violate this rule should be permanently banned. If you have children and go to the Y, please use some common sense use the family locker room. Would you show your children pictures of nude old men? Then why bring them into the locker room for real thing.DISGUSTING

Got free pass .. so thought family and i woild try..what a horrible horrible experience..staff very unfriendly and lost. No one showed us anything. Life guard almost drowned my daughter. Tried to get a convo with manager or anyone regarding how things worked. No call back. You have to apart some upscale group to be apart this place.

I really like the gym and the facility but my girlfriend visited 9 hours from out of town and I drove to the Y to find out what I needed and how to sign her in so we could workout together. I drive home, brought back my girlfriend and they had neglected to tell she needed to bring a Photo Id. Which normally wouldn't upset me, but the same women I asked went out of their way to tell me that it said it on the door. I didn't appreciate them being rude about it when I had just been in there asking them. Sure it's on the door and realistically common sense but I had just asked them for that information.

The Franklin Family Y is a wonderful, welcoming place with a wide variety of people. Friendly faces greet you; other members make the trip to exercise fun and worth it. Even if you are not terribly social, being at the Y fills the soul as you take care of your health by exercising. We have made the best of friends there!

The staff here is wonderful and eager to help. We have 3 kids, so we use the childcare. Our kids enjoy coming here, as do I. I have no hesitation about leaving my kids in the care of the capable staff.

WORST SERVICE!
I had registered for a private swim lesson about 3 weeks ago and I was told that there is no waiting list for private swim lessons and I was asked to pay immediately for the swim lessons and I was told that I will get a call to schedule swim lessons.

1.5 weeks passed I did not hear from anyone. I called YMCA, spoke with director and she told me that their outdoor pool is not functional and hence they were not able to schedule me. Well, the outdoor pool was not functional even the day I enrolled and paid for swim lessons, they ideally should have told me upfront that they cannot schedule me immediately. Director told me that she has put me on the top of list and someone will call me soon.

One more week past, I did not receive even a single call, I tried reaching director multiple times, always reached voice mail, left multiple messages on voice mail but did not hear from anyone.

Few more days past, I called again and the person who picked up my phone again asked me if she can transfer my call to director, I said there is no point as I never get response for the messages I leave on voice mail. She assured me that she will personally talk to Director so that I will get a callback...

I called next day and reached same person at reception who told me that she will personally talk to director, Well, she did personally talked to Director but even after that nobody bothered to call me...

Few more days past no luck, finally I called YMCA and asked them for a refund, I was told that my refund will be processed soon, few more days passed I am still waiting for a refund.

I called them again as I did not get refund, they asked me If I could be transferred to Director (same old story), I said no thank you, whats the status on my refund. I was put on hold for couple of minutes and finally they said that they have already processed my refund, I asked tell me date and time when the refund was processed, they said while I was on hold :). I just hope I get the refund now............

I am absolutely disappointed with YMCA and will never ever recommend any of my friends to ever go to this place where customers are not valued

The staff here is wonderful and eager to help. We have 3 kids, so we use the childcare. Our kids enjoy coming here, as do I. I have no hesitation about leaving my kids in the care of the capable staff.
