I used to work out at Gold's gym on Lee Highway -- the staff there are stellar. Here, the staff seem nice too, but they aren't helpful. I have called the store multiple times and requested a callback, and no one actually calls back. Austin usually answers the phone(the austin with dark hair and glasses) told me that someone would call me back, and they haven't.
Dalles is a very kind young woman, but gave me really bad and wrong information that is costing me a lot of money. Doesn't need to be fired at all, she's great -- but probably needs a little more training in regards to cancellation. She told me my membership there would be canceled once I fill out the cancellation form, and that someone would give me a callback tomorrow (Monday, April 9th) to confirm with me. No one ever called back. Because of this misinformation, and lack of cancellation, I ended up dealing with bank fees and bounced bills. Ouch.
So I called to get clarification, and ask for help. Austin (the one with dark hair and glasses) said I'd get a call back.
No one has ever called me back from this location. I had to call back, and since I have yet to receive a phone call, I had to call corporate. The manager was very nice tho. Took the time to shake my hand and listen to my concern even though he wasn't on the clock.
Great guy. Just wish his staff would relay my messages/get answers and call me back.
Lastly, I want to say this: I have only ever given 2 bad reviews. As a 25 year old man who has lived all around, I have dealt with bad customer service, but typically I chalk it up to a bad day. We all have them, right? But I think it's important I post this because I wouldn't want anyone else to go through this.
I was in a car accident, then lost my job, then had to sell my car. I hit a rough spot, and after explaining all of this, I was given misinformation, that led me to missing the cancellation deadline (because I was told it was already canceled) and now having to pay more money.
And what makes It beyond frustrating is that 6 weeks later, I am still waiting on a phone call back.
Edit:
It has been over 2.5 months now. And even though my review was commented on saying that someone would be in touch with me. No one to this very day has ever called me back.
Like I said before, the staff are nice. Tyler, the manager is very nice.
But customer service is sub par. I'd still like to get a call back from a manager with some type of resolution.
