My 6 year old son started gymnastics here a few months ago. He absolutely loves it and is already improving. Ms. Lynn is wonderful. It is a great facility! Highly recommend.

Great facility. If your child is a cheerleader or male gymnast, then they will have an opportunity to excel and be shown attention. If you have a young girl who loves gymnastics, they will get lost in the mix. We've been there for over a year (including summer), and have been disappointed in the inconsistent instructors (literally a different "coach" each session) and large class sizes. There's a communication barrier that they need to work through.

We came to Rockstar 1 year ago and it was the best year yet for my 3 girls. They all improved immensely in a short period of time. We are looking forward to our 2nd season. We were welcomed right into the Rockstar Family and my girls have never been happier. I would highly recommend Rockstar Charleston for your athlete!!

Our daughter cheered competitively for almost 10 years at two gyms located in Summerville. We feel like we have finally discovered what cheerleading is supposed to be about. A few highlights -
1. The basics are taught. Your child will receive coaching tailored to their skill level. The coaches are professionals who understand the proper techniques, how to teach them, and how to be consistent.
2. Constant improvement - At other gyms, a routine would be created and used for the entire season. At Rockstar Charleston, each performance is reviewed, analyzed, and then tweaked to make the next performance better and higher scoring.
3. They want to win and do, the right way - I'm not saying your child's team will win every event. But, I assure you, your child's coaches will feel every loss as deeply as the parents do. More importantly, they will spend the upcoming practices to teach the team why they lost, how to correct the issue and how to win.
4. A true sense of teamwork - Cliques, gossip and bullying are not tolerated. Your child will be in a safe place where they feel like an important, integral part of the team because they are.

If you're considering cheerleading for your child, stop searching. You've found their gym, and your cheer family, right here at Rockstar Charleston. I only wish we'd found it sooner.

Excellent instruction, attentive to each child in group's next progression. Well maintained equipment. Creative and professional choreography.

My daughter has been part of this gym's Allstar Cheer program for the past 8 years and loves it. We love the gym and all the coaches.

Largest gym facility in the Charleston area! I went to two different gyms 2 off of clements ferry rd. One had zero viewing area for parents and the other was dirty and smelled horrible. I finally found a place that is clean and run professionally!

I really wanted to love this place. My son has a friend in the "class" we tried. It was from 6pm-7pm, they stretched until 6:27, then took a break for water. From 6:30 to 6:45 they did a sort of obstacle course with, jumps, front rolls, back rolls and "cartwheels." The instructor leaned on one of the soft gym equipment pieces almost the entire time, he did move 4 times, twice to talk to a couple other girl instructors for a few minutes, once to actually give an actual tip to a child and once to pick up a foam mat. He gave no hands on instruction and only 2 tips where he said to put hands behind the head or jump higher.., he didn't help any child actually do a cartwheel, put feet in the right place or get proper hand placement..NOTHING. It was SO disappointing. The kids did the same thing again and again with so many front rolls it made my son dizzy. It was a class halfway through the year so they should have progressed to something by now.

He was the laziest instructor (and I use that term loosely) I have ever seen.

For the last 10 minutes the boys jumped on a big cushion with a front roll and then swung on a rope over and over again.

So sad since my son really wants to be in a class with his friend, but no one in their right mind would sign a contract to pay $20/class for this. It was a waste of time even though it was a free trial.

Go somewhere else if you want your child to learn anything.

Being 19 and an ex cheerleader I still tumble, its a passion. Went in for OPEN gym on Friday or flipping Friday as they call, and was told it was 18 and under. That is HORRIBLE for being a "gymmasters gym"
