Great establishment, full scope of services; weight/exercise space, game room (board/cards/foosball), yoga/open mirror space, rink, swimming, gymnasium (courts), and conference availability. Plus their staff is top notch and friendly.
The pools get cold sometimes due to issues with the pumps and such, but never below 80. The leisure pool is very nice and the lap pool usually has at least two lanes open, on weekends at least. I would reccomend going here, but not over an outdoor pool.
Amazing community center and pool. Family swim is great for people with younger children and open swim is fun for everyone. The slide, channel walk, whirlpool and water works are fun for kids of all ages. The center also offers a selection of classes for kids and adults. From fitness to archery there is a class for everyone. The indoor roller rink makes for a great rainy day activity.
We had a great time swimming here. My kids could stand in most parts of the pool here. Young kids are allowed to Go down the slide sitting on their parents laps. They provide cool floaty is for the kids to use for free. They allow you to bring your own life fests and flotillas from home. They have 3 family changing rooms that you can use. They also have The women section and the men section that you could use instead. All these areas are provided with showers And toilets for you to use. This place is a lot of fun and it is a reasonable price.
Huge, gorgeous lap pool in a beautiful natural setting! There is also a very nice shallow pool with water features for kids, a jetted channel, and a water slide. The community center also has a small gym, a basketball court, a roller skating rink, and rooms of a variety of sizes for rental. A wonderful asset to the community!
This was a good place for swimming with family. There is shallow water for young ones that don't swim by themselves yet, and lots of room for those who do to swim and play. The waterslide is fantastic, and you can easily take a kid down with you. There is a dedicated area if you don't want to have others interrupt you while you swim laps. Somewhat expensive, so be sure to check out when they have discounts or free nights.
Great time. Kids loved the pool. Had a blast in the vortex pool and water slide. Had a hard time getting them out at closing. Swam for 4 hours.
My gold chain broke while swimming with my 6yr old son. I immediately called Mount Scott when I got home when i noticed it was gone they so kindly had found my chain but the cross pendant was still missing I was grateful they found my chain, the staff told me that they would put a note on it and I could pick it up, when I go to pick it up it is nowhere to be found and has magically disappeared. They tell me they're confident no one would have stollen it. Although they have a 0 explanation for how it magically disappeared and got legs and walked away so if you have it one day and it's labeled with my information for me to pick up and then when I go to pick it up it no longer exist anywhere what other conclusion is there?? there's zero accountability on their part all they can keep saying literally is I don't know, I don't know, I don't know and expect me to not get extremely frustrated I'm very angry and someone does have sticky fingers make sure if you Are in this situation you make sure you get names of those you spoke to initially on the phone so that you can hold somebody accountable because this is not OK I will never take my son there and no one in my family will ever come here again!!

Great place to take kids for a fun time. However, my only problem is with the staff. I was watching my nephew for the weekend at his houseo house lives pretty close and is old enough (11 years old) to walk a few blocks ( or 35 minute walk) to the park. He went for a teen night event that My. Scott was hostung and I told him to be home by 8pm. ( Keep in mind he was grounded from his phone for inappropriate message to girls) so my only connection to him was running down to get him or call the community center. It was 8:45pm, so naturally I grew concerned. I called the community center to see if I could get in contact with him and the woman on the phone said "No one is available to look for him. All the kids are in the gym" . So....what? A bunch of kids are in a gym unsupervised? And there aren't adult staff monitoring the event that the community center was initially supposed to be hosting? I don't think I've ever gotten that mad that fast in my whole life. Luckily my nephew came home right after I got off the phone with that witch with a capital B. It is my fault for assuming that a community center would have responsible adults looking after the children they are hosting events for.

Very fun indoor pool! Waterslide, lap pool, pretty strong lazy river, rope swing, fun kiddie pool area with water feature and hot tub for the adults. Great place to spend a warm summer day! Reasonably priced too! For drop ins it is $4 for kids, $4.50 for teens & adults and $5.75 for adults. If you go M-F you can do family swim and open play swim back to back from 12-3:30.

I've been bringing my kids here their whole lives, I and my husband spent summers swimming there when we were young. Great big shaded park next to community center. Skating, swimming and work out facility. Very family friendly!
Great community center. Everything you could ask for including a basement roller rink that is the best birthday rental value in town.
Had my daughter's birthday here it was a great experience experience afterwards we swimming my kids had a blast along with all the other people that attended it was very reasonably price and for the amount of time we were there we were taking care of and the lifeguards definitely did their job exceptionally well i will be returning
Great place for all things fun! Skating, swimming and gaming, all the activities a family could love! Nice park and playground too!
We love our local community center and I wish I could give it more stars. The playground outside is awesome. The center itself needs some love from Portland Parks and Rec. Not a bad place to hang out but needs updating and expansion like some others have received.

This place is helping me change my life. I'm using the treadmill, the pool, and spa. Exercise with those in my community makes me feel like I'm part of the community.
Great downstairs play area for when weather isn't cooperating. Lots of classes here for,all ages. Plenty of parking in surrounding area
Great community center! We loved the preschool program, and also have had great experiences with swim lessons and Taekwondo classes here. Plus there is a great indoor skating rink downstairs!
I have been coming to this community center since I was a kid, 40 years ago. The building and facilites have improved quite a bit since then. The indoor pool area is great fun for water lovers. Portland Parks and Rec have done an excellent job with utilizing all of the space in the building.
The very great place to go and work out and play in the water and swim the lap pool so relaxing for the heart and the soul in the muscles in the bones
Great park, great for kids activities but honestly, the pool is gross and the locker rooms and bathrooms are almost always very dirty. We no longer come for swimming but still enjoy it's other amenities.

I've only visited Mt. Scott Community Center for the roller skating rink. That being said, the rest of the place looks amazing. The rink is completely awesome. Located in the basement under the gym is can be load from the bouncing basketballs, but not bad. It's usually not busy at all, 5-25 people. The music is just from the radio, but the guy who runs it is usually open to changing stations, The floor is very nice but slick, mainly from the dust that is on it. But fortunately I prefer the floor top be slick for my style of skating. Very friendly staff, good prices, and they let you wear your headphones(UNLIKE THE SKATE NAZIS AT OAKS PARK!). I just wish they had more open skate sessions. Definitely worth the drive from Salem.

Had a great time swimming at Mount Scott Community Center with our granddaughter. Had fun on the waterslide and shooting Hoops in the water..she really liked the rope swing as well. Felt safe as there are many lifeguards on duty. Highly recommend for great family fun on a budget!

There were multiple life guards watching every corner of the place, very capable of helping kids, or adults, in need. I very much enjoyed my short visit here and would definitely recommend!
