I love this studio! Great teachers, and a hot room, cleanliness is also a top priority, the carpets are fresh and cleaned often. Best place to sweat and meditate at the same time in Portland! Practicing here 4 times per week for the last two months has changed my life.

I have been practicing bikram yoga for several years in various parts of the country. I'm happy to call Portland home now, as this is one of my favorite studios. The instructors are excellent and the owners are wonderful. I hightly recommend this studio if you are interested in bikram yoga.

I took my first class here yesterday. The teacher was great and I'm feeling the benefits already!

Love my hot sweaty yoga. No riff-raff allowed, please shower before class. Namaste.

I went to Bikram's Yoga at 48th and Fremont today for my first Bikram Yoga experience. It was pretty crowded but I think this was due to it being their introductory class (where members bring a friend), which only happens once a month. I found the facilities welcoming, with showers, changing room and fresh fruit served afterward.
As far as bad stuff I would say two things: One, the place stunk like holy hell! The fact that it was carpeted did not seem like a good idea to me. (To their credit they are planning to close the studio for cleaning and revamping soon.). Two, people were NOT ALLOWED TO LEAVE if they were experiencing discomfort! There was a young girl who got up to leave at the end and the instructor totally made her return to her spot! I can understand wanting to keep the class from being disrupted by people coming in and out, but there was a strong push to get people to stay and participate for the full 90 minutes. To their credit they do encourage (a little) to kneel and rest if you cannot perform the postures, but I feel as if there is a little bit of ignorance towards those that are really having a hard time.

Back to the plus side: The class was fairly excruciating due to my being out of shape, but I have to admit I feel AWESOME right now and haven't felt this good naturally in A LONG TIME! :) Also, I felt so good after the class that I signed up for a month of membership (right now you get 37 days) for $30 which I found reasonable.

P.S. Look for a new studio opening up on Alberta soon!
