I absolutely love this place. Every class I take is so perfect for me that day. The instructors are all very talented, the owner is amazing, the space is beautiful and conveniently located (especially if you don't have to find a parking space), and the class size is just right. Thank you for creating a space where I can practice my practice!!! So grateful!

Gorgeous studio with knowledgable, caring, professional yogis at the helm. This is hands down my favorite place to practice yoga in Portland!
TGY is a wonderful home studio for more energetic and lively flow classes. Welcoming community of teachers and students.
I have attended classes with almost all the teachers here and done many of the events/ workshops and fun community outings like Grinning Brunch Club, where we all go out after a class to some of Portland's most divine morning eateries and get to know each other better. Thank You Jamie (the owner) for always putting on great events in and out of studio that help everyone connect. It is so appreciated and awesome!
I crave class at TGY, the music, the flow, the building heat and both the physical and mental challenge all keep me focused and engaged and wanting more.
Do yourself a favor and stop into the studio- they have very affordable pricing and lots of class options to fit any schedule.
ALSO- ALWAYS say YES to the LIVE DJ flow classes they are truly beautiful and not to be missed!

It's a home away from home if you're a transplant!! The classes are INCREDIBLE, the teachers are real, and funny, and experienced. They provide tons of options for taking postures up a notch, or going easier-and I've never felt judged for not knowing something, or not being able to get into a more challenging pose. Definitely the best yoga I've found in PDX!

More people need to know about how awesome The Grinning Yogi is. This isn't just another yoga studio. This is a wonderful, supportive, fun, fabulous community that celebrates who you are, just as you are. The classes are fun, and done to great music. All the instructors are amazing. You'll feel so good afterwards. I've attended many yoga studios, and this one is my home.
