As an active endurance athlete, i absolutely LOVE this place!

I loved this gym from day one but the new layout is truly odd. For example, the smith machine is in the now, old group class room with the wood floors that would have been great for stretching and working out with lighter weights. I asked the employee at the desk but she was not able to provide much more information to why things were moving. I hope more consideration into the layout and functionality is put forth or is more noticeable to customers.

About 2 months ago, I transferred over to this location from another gym further down on Lombard. Peak Performance is such a clean facility, easy parking (both lot and street) and the friendliest staff I've ever encountered. There's a strong sense of community and group support due to its smaller size. A wide selection of classes at an intimate class size make working with the instructor feel like a personal training session and is easy to make new friends.

The lack of locker rooms - although there are 3 ample sized bathrooms for changing clothes/showering/etc. took a little bit of getting use to. And minimal locker storage means you often have to keep belongings along the back wall. This has never really been an issue for me personally. There seem to be constant updates and improvements being made - I'm looking forward to seeing what else will take shape in the future!
