If you are located in NW Portland and need some fitness/training guidance, then you need to check out Hyatt Training. I trained here once a week for a year + with Erin and could not be more pleased! It is a great, professional, family owned business that hires amazing trainers!
Erin (Trainer at Hyatt) is awesome! She is all about goal setting with her clients, and customizing the workouts around those goals (including diet/food recommendations). I came to the studio with a heavy sports background, and still learned so much about weight training and fitness from her. High recommend! :)
I've been coming to this gym for nearly 2 years, and think it's great. Why? The people! Owners Lee and Jeremy and the trainers are welcoming, professional, and knowledgeable. The clientele is very friendly. My trainer, Hayden Olson, develops workouts designed to meet my particular goals. Finally, the facility and equipment are well-cared for and up to date. I look forward to my workouts!
I can't recommend Hyatt Training enough. Working with a personal trainer ensures accountability, and shout out to my trainer, Dustin Millhollen. Owners Jeremy and Lee, are warm, welcoming, and professional, and everyone is part of the "Hyatt family." Gym and locker spaces are really clean and inviting.
Training out of Hyatt Training has been such a positive experience for me. I've been able to establish myself as an independent personal trainer and grow my business, I'm continually encouraged to keep learning and challenging myself, and I work in an environment of professional trainers who bring an impressive amount of knowledge to the table. Looking forward to more years training here!
The best gym I've ever been to! The trainers, equipment, environment and culture are top notch. I felt so comfortable and welcomed. The owner ensures you are matched with the right trainer, who will assist in meeting and exceeding your goals.
I've worked out for most of my life in a variety of gyms. Hyatt Training is by far the best. Jeremy does an excellent job of maintaining a friendly yet intense training atmosphere. The staff are knowledgable and welcoming. In particular, Trevor Lasarre who I train with has had a measurable impact on my fitness and performance. If you're on the fence about trying Hyatt Training, jump off and take the plunge. You can thank me later!
Hyatt is truly a client focused gym. You are paired with a personal trainer based on your goals and how you are motivated. They take the time to learn about you before finding your best trainer match.
I am a little intimidated in most gym atmospheres. But, I feel at home at Hyatt. Everyone I have met (clients and trainers) at Hyatt is friendly, and truly cares.
Just a few months after I joined, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. My trainer adjusted my sessions to accommodate what my body would allow that day. I now do 2 sessions each week with 2 different trainers. I do yoga with Lee, which is amazing. She doesn't just walk you through poses, but explains what muscles you are focusing on and what each move is doing for your body. I also have strength training sessions with Megan. Megan is great at motivating me to push through each session, and makes me want to work harder. She celebrates my accomplishments, even on days when I can't complete the full set of reps. She focuses on what I was able to do, not what I wasn't able to do.
Hyatt has played a big role in my health (both mental and physical) throughout my cancer/chemo journey. My doctor has been impressed with the level of activity I have maintained through chemo. I have had this success because Jeremy took the time to get to know me, and made the effort to know which trainers would be the best fit for me.
Thank you Jeremy, Lee, and Megan! I truly appreciate all you do for me and my health!

What a special group of trainers and community Jeremy and Lee have built! Everyone here is friendly, energetic, and service oriented. They take a very individualized goal oriented approach that produces measurable results. I currently train with Hayden Olson and I would recommend him to anyone wanting to improve their personal fitness. Even if you enter that gym half-alive you will leave in great spirits!

Hyatt Training is a unique and one-of-a-kind gym, and is the best place to work as a personal trainer. Jeremy and Lee, and the awesome team of personal trainers, have created a special, community/client-first culture, in which everyone feels welcomed. While "the gym" can be a daunting place for people new to fitness/workout scene, Jeremy goes out of his way to make sure everyone - rookies to vets - feel comfortable, supported and encouraged.
In addition to 1 on 1 personal training, HT provides valuable resources including chalkboard workouts, which are workouts written by Jeremy for clients to complete during open gym hours/outside 1 on 1 training session. Knock out 2-3 chalkboard workouts a week, and you'll be in great shape (literally)! Furthermore, HT is constantly striving to provide the best services possible for clients, investing in new equipment, professional and informative material on website/social media, organizing seminars and workshops, creating race and nutrition programs, etc.
As a former HT personal trainer, I was drawn to HT for the reasons explained above... My experience working at HT was very positive and formative. Jeremy and Lee were (and still are) incredible mentors, and helped me build my business. They are very invested in their trainers' growth, and genuinely want their trainers to achieve their goals - whatever they may be!
I've been a client with Jeremy Hyatt for over a decade now. If you read a review that says something is, "life changing," you might glance over it and think it was an exaggeration-- that's not the case here. When I started with Jeremy, I was basically a mess physically. Over the years, I've gained the strength and agility to accomplish things I'd never been able to do in a gym. Finding physical fitness allowed me to add hikes, running, mountain biking and an improved ability to navigate life and life's stressors. At Hyatt training, they are into creating a healthy lifestyle change-- a new way of being in the world, not just a gym membership. In a sea of places to go find good health, this one is different. I can't say enough good stuff about the way I feel every time I leave the studio. Do yourself a favor-- Go start a relationship with Hyatt Training and take your health and well being to the next level.
I have been working with Jeremy since he first arrived in Portland more than 15 years ago. Have followed him from place to place and was thrilled when he and Lee opened their own place at Hyatt Training. I believe that working with him weekly has enabled me to stay active and healthy...and did I mention sane? The variation in workouts keeps exercise from becoming tedious and I appreciate his ability and willingness to adjust the workouts to accommodate injuries. In fact, Jeremy helped me rehab from several knee surgeries. The studio also provides a place to meet people who share similar interests and priorities. I highly recommend Hyatt Training to anyone looking for a friendly, personal studio with well trained, encouraging and professional staff.
Are you completely new to working with a trainer? Or are you an experienced athlete who wants professional help with conditioning? Do you have chronic health issues that would benefit from regular exercise?
No matter what level you're at, Hyatt Training can really help. The space is welcoming, The equipment is challenging. And the trainers are talented, committed, and supportive.
Going to Jeremy's studio is a high point in my week. I come away feeling invigorated and energized. I'm getting stronger and more coordinated, and I'm having lots of fun!!
