Carey is one of the loveliest people I've met in the fitness world. I had some of the best workouts with her and I can't say enough good words about her expertise and knowledge. One of the best studios in town! Highly recommend.
Very comfortable atmosphere. Carey and the other instructors have been great and push you to do a little more each time. The classes have variety in sequence. There is use of a variety of equipment. She is true to the classical Pilates method. It's like Joseph is there!
I love Hanu Pilates and the beautiful woman who so generously teaches and inspires and makes every person feel special. It is an honor to be training under Carey MacNaughton. She is guiding me through The Pilates Center Training Program, and I could not have asked for a more open, knowledgeable, and steadfast leader. As part of the program, I have been an observant eye in many sessions over the past four months. Carey is wonderfully in tune to each clients specific needs and goals; constructing each class to serve those needs. She makes people smile and puts their bodies back together, sending them back into the world ready to tackle anything. As a professional dancer with Northwest Dance Project, me and my colleagues value, depend and look forward to our weekly class. Carey empowers, pushes, listens, strengthens and nurtures. Hanu Pilate's is hands down the best Pilates studio in Portland. Hanu Pilates has high ceilings, spacious layout, beautiful skylights and the top reformers and equipment. Carey is extremely personable and can mold each session to specific body injuries and weakness's. I have seen before and after of Carey's clients and it blows me away. Hanu Pilates is where I have come weekly, if not more, for years to reset myself and increase my flexibility. Carey knows the work better than anyone I've met in the Pilates field and she pushes you to work your hardest while maintaining the highest in form. Classical Pilates at it's best!
