This gym is amazing! Great staff and WONDERFUL class options... I used to have to pay extra for small group training and this is INCLUDED! Great place for my weight loss journey!

Absolutely love this gym. I have always struggled with feeling comfortable and confident in any gym but have finally found those feelings at Crunch. All of the staff are super friendly and are willing to help you with whatever you need. The gym has everything I could even imagine using for workout and tons of space. It's definitely been my favorite gym that I've been too. You should get it out.

I have been with Crunch Aloha for 1.5 years now and it has been a fun safe environment. The trainers are patient and always meet you with a smile. Goal achieved are recognized and it feels like a second family. If you are just learning this is a great gym! I attend several classes a week as well and always really enjoy myself.

Nice new gym with sparkling new equipment, friendly staff, great selection of cardio and strength equipment. I say their membership prices are fair. I did not join this gym solely because of it's location which is further away than I want to drive.

Fairly new gym for the Aloha Community. All the usual machines plus tanning booth and massage machines with upgraded membership. Friendly and helpful staff. Reasonable starting rate with free hour-long fitness evaluation.

This gym has everything you need at a great price. Lucas is the best gym associate I have ever dealt with, very professional and friendly. Always ensuring guests are taken care of and knows many people on a first name basis. Lucas is the kind of person I would want working for me!

I started their 9.95 subscription in 2016 and cancelled it a few months later. At no point was I told I can't cancel, that it wouldn't be cancelled until a year later. Apparently new members on the 9.95 membership can't cancel in the first year, so you pay 160$ no matter what... "subscription" hah, shame on me for not reading the contract and believing what the salesperson says.

Better than 24 hours in some aspects, economical. Just wish they had more calf exercises and simple bench to do seated tricep presses. Something like this with a bit of back support

I have never experienced the absolute disrespect this place treated me with. Thank God for reviews I feel better now. I am not a member now and I don't recommend them. Watch out for that Gustavo dude, he has no business being in customer service. Ok that's all, thanks.

I typically don't write reviews but when I get charged double there's a problem. Terrible customer service and management doesn't care about customers who are overcharged. I was charged total of $131.90 Which was double my amount I pretty much got charged two times, which they didn't want to refund me my money and pretty much laughed at me when the kid said you got charged twice, and only got an email confirmation of $5 to be refunded. No I need a total of $70.95 For being overcharged on my bank account....

Walking distance from home makes it much easier for me to stick to 4 to 5 days a week. I have a bit of a love/ strong dislike of some things here,which can change simply based on what time I arrive. There are times I can walk in,breeze through that day's routine without delay,and be on my way. There are some "regulars" that I've actually noticed and picked up some good exercises for my routines. The cleaning staff is very thorough and the hydro massage chairs/table are a wonderful perk.

There are also times that I feel like I've been time warped back to high school. There are far too many people that treat equiptment as a couch to sit and surf their phones. Staff should make an effort to walk around more and nicely remind people if it's busy that someone could be waiting for the equiptment. There are also a few "everyday is arm day" guys that clearly love to strut around trying to be noticed. That gives my eyes a workout because it certainly makes me roll them a lot.

As for staff,the desk isn't very friendly. The greeting and goodbyes fell off a few months in.Not looking for friendships,so whatever, I guess. As stated earlier they should be checking the floor more and standing still less. This Sunday the gym was down to 2 paper towel dispensers that had towels. Rediculous to let supplies run out. My last frustration is that this facility does not seem to prioritize fixing broken equipment. 5 days is pretty common to see things with signs.

The pros of a close, clean gym that gives me the workouts I need outweigh the cons. I just make sure I go off peak wherever possible.

The gym did NOT open today at 7 am and the staff was rude to me when asked about it.
The gym opened at 7:40 am instead of 7, making a whole line of people wait there for nothing, and that is SECOND time in just 3 months (and not even the only 2 times, according to google reviews).
The staff was extremely defensive and plain rude saying things like "there is nothing I can do about it, it just happened!", "you are not listening, and actually I am busy with something here", "what do you want me to say, I don't know".
When asked "do you think this is how businesses are supposed to work?", aggressively answered "this is not my business!" which a) does not matter if you're hired there b) irrelevant c) rude and showing attitude.

Finally, she shrugged, rolled eyes said "whatever" and turned away, doing something on her computer.

"Whatever"? This is how you treat customers when YOU are late for work?.. I am lost here, I thought we live in the times when dealing with customers in a polite manner is a must?

I do not think this is how staff anywhere should deal with mistakes. What I expected was an apology, an explanation and a pro-active approach, and what I got was defensive, offensive, rude attitude and unacceptable language which only escalated the conflict.

I request that CRUNCH train the staff and addresses this issue.
This is unacceptable.

If it was her personal mistake, she needs to learn how to accept it and apologize properly. If this is your scheduling issue, you need to hire enough people and focus on scheduling procedures to make opening hours reliable, as they should be by default.

CRUNCH KICKED ME OUT OVER A COOKIE

I have been going to this crunch location for about a year now, and as a person who specifically uses weight lifting platforms, this is the best bang for your buck gym in the Portland area. If I didn't love the gym and the atmosphere in the gym, it would have been one star.

My rating can be explained through an experience I had with the owner and upper staff of the gym.

I work out late, and later at night there arent many people at Crunch. The staff member working the front desk was kind enough to let us have some complete cookies that were for sale in the front desk.

One normal afternoon, I punched in for my regular workout, and a staff member along with the owner said they wanted to speak to me. They told me that they were ending my membership because I took cookies from the front desk, and I had to pay for them, or else they would be forced to contact the authorities.

I understand that, because I took a cookie, they are within their legal boundaries to end my membership. HOWEVER, any company that cares for their customers would never be as petty as this. They only care for your money, and if you do anything to take from their income, even if it is allowed by a staff member, then they will drop you in a heartbeat.

They didn't just lose me as a customer. They lost myself, and the majority of my friends who worked out with me. If you do go to crunch, then work out and leave. Do anything to make the gym feel like a home, and they will be quick to remind you that they are NOT a caring family business.

I like the gym but I've come a few times at 5am and no one is there. We end up waiting outside for a good 15mins before someone shows up to open. Besides that, I love it

No complaints. The monthly is great for all you get. Even when the place is packed there is still enough room and machines to get a workout in. The weight section has plenty of extra weights.

Buddy of mine got a membership here. Took me for free. All the equipment I need. Went at 5am and they were open. Clean, nice culture. Helpful staff, even at 5am.

Good gym, most equipment you could want. Only problem is there are lots of people sometimes. Other than that it's a very good gym

Love this gym. Seeing great results going to Camp Crunch classes with Mauro Wilder. He makes the class fun and challenging. I really like his attention to proper form.

I love the "no judgement" slogan. I'm only in there a few times a week, only 30-60 minutes apiece, and I'm not in shape. But I gotta start somewhere, and I honestly never feel judged. Nice machines, nice people. I'd recommend this gym to friends.

This five star review is exclusively for Karla at FD. She always greets members and guests with a bright, genuine smile that never falters. Well maintained with plenty of equipment. I'm glad this club moved into the neighborhood. I'm very pleased with how clean its kept. I was a former Planet Fitness member but much prefer this gym for all the equipment, classes, atmosphere and location in proximity to me. The reason I've given it four stars instead of five are several. The tanning booths are tiny. If you're claustrophobic, forget using them as they are about the size of a coat closet. The other big issue for me, showering after my workout. The shower handles do not stay stable to hold your set water temperature. They drift on their own and something must be wrong with the valves internally to allow for this. Also the water temperature at times is way too cold and never warms up. I'm not sure if the water heater is undersized to handle peak use our what's going on but it needs to be fixed. It really seems to be hit and miss on how warm or cold the water is going to be. That really is the biggest drawback and only complaint other than the tanning both size I can point out.
