Zen Body is my favorite yoga studio in Tulsa.
The teachers are without exception encouraging and instructive. They don't have expectations for what you are able to do, and they encourage you to work wherever you're at.
There is a wide variety of classes. And a wide variety of times they are available. They offer sit on the floor type yoga; more physically challenging, sweat your face off yoga; and moderate classes in-between.
All sorts of people of different ages and fitness levels find a place to be challenged there. From young fit men and women, people just starting to get in shape, and average folks in-between. The age range right now goes from teenagers to 70's.
The instructors encourage modifications, so if there is something you can't or won't do, they'll help you find an alternative. I have a bad knee and since I have asked for modifications a few times for it, they'll often make suggestions now before I ask.
The facilities are really pleasant with bright, inviting decor, clean lines and nice colors. It was decorated with purpose, and kept very clean. You could just about eat off of the studio floor.
The bathrooms have good areas to change, clean showers, and towel service. Good quality soap too, which seems small but is actually really nice.
The clientele are great. I have yet to meet someone there that I didn't like. There are all sorts of people; you are bound to find somebody that you like.
I thought because of the location that I wouldn't be able to afford it, but it's on par with the other studios in town. Especially if you consider what Zen Body offers.
Try it and I bet you'll like it. When I started they had a really good introductory rate for your first month. It was roughly the cost of three individual classes and it gives you the opportunity to try just about everything.
Oh, and aerial yoga is really fun too. It seems intimidating, but it's much more doable than I thought it would be. I'm the type to fall over on occasion and I haven't had trouble in aerial.
