Got a chance to try out a free class of hot yoga upon the recommendation of friends and had enjoyed the one hour plus of breathing, stretching and simply focus on the here-&-now.
Yoga mats and blocks are available for you to use if you don't have one and the instructions are easy to follow. If you are new to yoga, simply tell the instructor and he/she will be more than willing to check on your poses throughout the class.
Hot yoga, as the name implies, is done in a very warm environment as they turn on the heaters all around the perimeter of the space. You can stay in the middle of the room if you don't want to be too warm along the walls.
Anyway, having practice yoga on and off for the last two years, hot yoga is a nice alternative way. Being in a warm space, your muscles warm and loosen up faster. Do hydrate well as you will be perspiring alot. And bring a towel as you will be dripping wet!
